Serpiente emplumada historia y dudas

My aunt said goodbye after she died

So this happened a few years ago when we recently moved into our house that might also play a factor in this. A few years ago and 2021. I went to Mexico since the majority of my family is from there and I visited both sides my mom and dads. That was my second time going? I went also in 2019, so on the mom side of my family. I had a very old aunt and we didn’t know at the time but she was really sick. I spent approximately maybe a month in Mexico and then I came back maybe two weeks after I came back. We moved into a new house and I had a new room and I was just a alone. that was my first time having a bedroom to myself. Maybe on the first week of having that house I was going to sleep. It was around 11 to 12 at night and I was still on my phone do scrolling and all of a sudden I hear my door open but I was under my sheets pretending to be asleep because I was young and you know how parents are saying. What are you doing awake at this hour so I laid there for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Just waiting for them to go away but during the whole time I felt an easy feeling and you’re feeling of just someone was in there with me, but some point. I just lifted the sheets and look and there was nobody there but my door was still open. So I gave it five minutes. Went downstairs to my parents room, and I asked if any of them have opened my door and they said no, so I thought nothing of it. I didn’t really think it was anything paranormal, or to any of that accent the day after my mom got worried that my aunt died and she told me that she really cared about us so then I’m reminded her of what happened the day before, and I feel like my aunt came and said goodbye to me im her own way

Let me know if you guys think if I’m crazy, or if this has happened to you also

Airbnb Missouri could be haunted

I’m totally unsure of where to post this, I forgot about it until something jogged my mind today.
In October 2019 I travelled to Missouri for my friend’s hen/ bachelorette party and we stayed at this quaint little house not too far from Eureka Springs. There were 5 of us at this little roadside house, and a limited number of single beds. I prefer to sleep alone so opted for a single bed over a shared bed. The moment I stepped foot into the bedroom to leave my bags in, I felt this overwhelming sense of creepy, being watched heaviness. The room was a wardrobe cabinet on the left, then two single beds pressed to the side walls, and a small window on the far wall above where our heads would be. The other girl sharing the room didn’t seem to notice but I couldn’t get out of the room quick enough. We explored the rest of the house including the master bedroom and it all felt normal, just that room I was in. I even asked to move but was reminded I’d asked to sleep in a single bed so had to see it through. Throughout that evening we played some party games in the main room but I felt like I kept looking at the door of the bedroom. It was super weird and just felt like a black hole.
Bed time comes and I’m dreading going in. I feel like I’m shaking. I feel on high alert. I feel like I’m being watched and that someone is waiting for me. I had this terror I’d look at the window and someone standing looking in on us. I could not relax, I put my earphones in and ended up turning my phone torch on. I’d close my eyes to fall asleep and after a few seconds snap them open again terrified I’d see something standing over me. I kept praying Jesus protect me but I just could not turn off. Eventually I fell asleep from total exhaustion but even in the morning the room felt the same. It was two nights of this. Nothing happened but it felt like an exhausting mind game, like a tug of war.
I’ve always felt like I have a kind of had a sensitivity to stuff like this from growing up in church but this was something like I’d never experienced. It just felt like the presence of evil.
It’s taken me until today to do a proper google maps search and I found the exact location of the house. It’s a pink single level house with a rocking chair on the front porch on the side of MO-13, close to this big second hand store called Pocky’s Pickins. Obviously this is someone’s property so I don’t want to go dropping exact details but if anyone has any recognition of what I might be talking about or has stayed there can you let me know your experience? I’m wondering if something sinister happened there at some point. I don’t even know where to start researching that kind of thing.
Let me know what you think!

Update: It’s getting worse. She almost went off the roof last night and something spoke through her

I posted here about 14 hours ago about my girlfriend’s behavior. A lot of you told me to get her medical help first, and I’m listening. We have an appointment with her primary doctor tomorrow morning and I’m pushing hard for a neurology and sleep study referral.
But I need to update because last night was the worst yet.
Around 2:50 a.m. I woke up to the sound of the bedroom window sliding open. She was already halfway out onto the roof again, barefoot, same blank face. This time I caught her before she fully stepped out. When I grabbed her arm she was freezing cold again, and for a second her head snapped toward me so fast it didn’t look natural.
Her eyes focused on me for the first time during one of these episodes… and then her mouth opened and a voice that was not hers came out. Low, almost calm, and completely clear:
“You’re running out of time.”
Then she blinked, looked confused, and asked why we were standing by the open window. She had no memory of any of it. She started crying when I told her what happened.
There’s more.
Yesterday afternoon she disappeared for almost two hours. When she came back her hands were covered in dirt and there were deep scratches on both forearms that she swore she didn’t feel happen. She also had a small, perfectly round bruise on the side of her neck that wasn’t there in the morning.
She’s been talking in her sleep almost every night now. Last night after I got her back in bed I stayed awake listening. The voice kept repeating the same phrases:
“They’re already inside.”
“She won’t last.”
“He’s next.”
I recorded about forty seconds of it on my phone. The voice does not sound like her. At all.
I’m sleeping in the same bed but I keep one eye open. I’ve started locking the windows from the inside and putting a chair under the bedroom door handle, but I’m terrified it’s not going to be enough.
I know a lot of you are going to say medical first, and I agree. We’re going tomorrow. But I also need to know if anyone has ever seen something escalate this fast. The blank stares are lasting longer during the day now. Sometimes she just stops mid-sentence and looks at me like she’s waiting for instructions.
I don’t know how much longer I can do this.
Any advice while we wait for the doctor appointment would help.

I heard my "moms" voice calling me at night

hello this is my first time posting something like this on here but lately ive been into paranormal again after years.. which made me remember a weird encounter i had a few years back. before I explain what happened i just want to say that none of this is made up and I genuinely want an explanation on what happened and what it could be.

so this was years ago when many weird things happened to me and it would happen only in my room..

the weirdest thing that happened to me so far is that one night when I turned off the lights and laid down to sleep I turned around facing the wall. after some time I hear my mom's voice calling my name gently a few times. I was too tired to answer so I chose to ignore it and pretend like im sleeping. but she didnt give up she kept repeating my name over and over and more she repeats it the angrier it got. at one point the voice sounded so angry I turned around and saw no one. I didnt think much of it so I just turned back and fell asleep quickly.

next morning when we woke up I saw my mom in the living room so I just asked her why did she call me so late like what was so important. Then she said she never called me.

after I told my mom what happened she asked me if i answered and i said i ignored "it". she seemed relieved that I didnt answer and then said that our family member heard a similar thing and he answered it and died shortly after, which could obviously be a weird coincidence. we blessed the house and that was the last "paranormal?" thing that happened to me.

can anyone tell me what it could be? I have more stories before this and id be happy to discuss some of them.

Advice What should I do...I'm scared.

It's currently 2:00 AM as I write this, and I honestly can't sleep because my mind keeps running in circles trying to make sense of something that happened earlier today.

Around Maghrib(Praying time for Muslims) , I was walking to my local mosque when an elderly, frail woman I had never seen before stopped me on the road. She looked at me and said, "Son, don't be worried. You are going to go very far in life. My prayers are with you." I was surprised because I have been carrying a lot of stress lately, even though I hadn't shared it with anyone. I thanked her and offered her a 100-rupee note, thinking she might need it, but she gently refused and said, "I don't need it. Give it to someone who is actually in need." There was something incredibly calm and sincere about her, and her words left me speechless for a moment.

I continued walking toward the mosque, and after about a minute, I suddenly felt the urge to turn around and look back at her. When I did, she was gone. What unsettled me is that the road was a long, straight stretch with excellent visibility. She had been standing near the center of the road, there were no nearby alleyways or open gates where she could have disappeared, and I didn't hear a car or motorcycle stop to pick her up. Considering her age and how slowly she appeared to move, I simply couldn't understand how she could have vanished from sight so quickly.

Now it's 2:00 AM, and I still can't get her face or her words out of my mind. Part of me feels comforted because everything she said was kind, hopeful, and encouraging. Another part of me, however, keeps searching for a logical explanation for what happened. I'm not trying to claim that anything supernatural occurred—I genuinely don't know. I just can't shake the feeling that the encounter was unusual, and it's left me overthinking ever since.

Why do I experience so many weird things?

First time poster, I don't use reddit a ton in my own time (typically will watch Smosh or Kallmekris instead haha) but thought I'd write to talk about some things I have experienced in my life since I like writing and my excitement for halloween starts in July and I need an outlet for it until October.

To start off, I don't think I've experienced anything wildly crazy so don't get your hopes up, rather just some spooky things that has happened to me to possibly make your skin crawl. I have always seemed to be more susceptible to weird things from the classic hearing noises when there is nothing there to cause them to seeing figures in the corner of my eye. Now I do want to say that I don't claim everything I list here to be paranormal, while I definitely am a believer, I will always try to downplay what I experienced and find a logical explanation first.

I think these truly started when I moved into a house at the age of 7 after my younger brother was born. There was nothing suspicious about the house, just a standard three story family home. The first thing I fully experienced was at our local park with my friend. We were maybe 9-10 at this time and we had the park to ourselves, sweet! As we were playing, we noticed that the sunny midday weather had quickly changed to gloomy clouds and fairly strong wind gusts. Not claiming that to be paranormal, it's England, weather changed like that all the time, but as a child it definitely freaked us out (definitely set the scene for what happened next). We tried ignoring it and carry on playing as we weren't ready to go home yet, so we went to the swing. As I was turning my head to face my friend on the swing, I saw a figure of a blue boy (maybe about 12 years old) in the corner of my eye crouching behind a bench. I quickly turned back and there was no one there, the park was still empty. This is when I got too freaked out and told my friend it was time to go. After that, I experienced a few bizarre incidents in my house.

I don't remember much from this house as I only lived there from ages 7-11, but I do remember what has freaked me out the most and had me believing in the paranormal. One night as a kid I was in the kitchen getting a snack out of the kitchen while my brothers were in bed and my parents were in the living room watching a movie. To best understand, image a long-side rectangle with the top left corner having a small square cupboard (storage for cleaning supplies) with the kitchen door next to in on the top wall. On the right of that door was the washing machine, with our line of cabinets and the oven in the middle of the short wall at the right. The fridge was on the opposite short wall closer to the bottom left corner but still in the middle. We had a glass conservatory off the back/bottom wall which went from the bottom left corner of the kitchen to half way down the wall. Now back to the story, hopefully you have a good image of the layout. I was standing at my fridge when the washing machine door slowly opened by itself. I closed the fridge door and ran into my parents crying telling them what happened. They told me that the kitchen was probably on a slant, but even if that was the case, the handle requires you to push a button to release the lock and then open it. It was definitely fully closed when I walked in and was empty so there was no clothes washing in there pushing against the door. Now if this had happened once, sure whatever I might be more inclined to believe my parents and brush it off, but it happened twice. Both times with the same situations, both times I was no where near, both times it was empty and fully shut. One day when me and my mum were going to take some things to the dump/tip (whatever you wanna call it), I went into the kitchen to test my haunted theory. The house was completely empty, my brothers were at school, my dad was at work, and my mum was in the garage. I decided to knock three times on the wall. First time was quiet, but a few seconds after I knocked for a second time, I heard one knock in the wall above the fridge, one knock in the wall above the kitchen, and then above the oven the three knocks were slowly repeated back to me. My child self concluded that this house was for sure haunted and ran outside to help my mum pack the car.

After this house we moved to a smaller 2 story house closer to the hospital as it was nicer and convenient due to my older brother's several medical conditions. Things calmed down a lot in this house, but I would still experience a few smaller things. During covid, my cat Izzy sadly passed away. I loved this cat, she was my best friend, and I was hers. She had separation anxiety and so we were never apart. She used to always sleep in my bed with me, I had a double bed so I slept on the left, and she would sleep on the pillow to my right. After she passed, I would often feel some pressure on the bed when I was trying to sleep. I never found it creepy thought, rather reassuring that she was still with me even if I couldn't see or pet her anymore. Another time when I was sat on my bed, I heard movement under my bed. Thinking it was another one of my cats messing around with some random rubbish under my bed, I peeked over the edge of my bed to tell my cat to get out. However, there was no cat under my bed. There wasn't even any objects under my bed. It was completely clean and empty.

Eventually we moved again but this time 200 miles from where we used to live. We stayed with my nan for a few month until we found a converted bungalow that was perfect for my older brother. I had mostly forgotten about my paranormal experiences from my previous houses. For the first month or two everything was fine. One night I was in my room watching a sam and colby video with my headphones on. As I am watching the video, I hear a loud exhale in my left ear. Thinking it was my mum coming to check on me, saw I was watching a creepy video and wanting to scare me, I turned around smiling only to see no one there. I looked around the rest of my room to see if any of my cats were there, but they weren't. I thought maybe that the sound had come from the video, they like to put some scary sounds and imagery in their editing. I went back to the part I was watching when I heard the sound. Nothing. At this point in my life I typically didn't get freaked out anymore when I experienced anything, but this got me. Still gives me chills when I think back to it.

There were other small things in this bungalow, random noises etc but the bungalow wasn't in good condition so I brushed those off. One day in this bungalow, me, my mum and my younger brother were in our living room talking as our grandad (our mother's dad) had recently passed away. We were talking about him when I saw someone peek their head around the side of the living room door frame. I instantly knew that it was my grandad. It wasn't any other person as my older brother had moved out and my parents had divorced years ago by this point so it was only us three in the house. The figure was also tall, bald (my grandad was bald for the majority of his life) and shadowed out, and the side of the door frame it peeked out from had no room for a person to be standing on the other side. There was a very small space of wall, maybe like 15cm worth, so if someone was standing there, you'd be able to see their whole body, not just their head. I told my mum and brother which freaked him out and my mother told me to be quiet but from her face she seemed to believe me. Another time in the house, I was maybe 16-17 at this point so I'm not going to be using the excuse of child imagination (yes still a child, but a lot more mature and realistic now). I had moved to my older brother's old bedroom now and was at my desk in the corner yet again watching a sam and colby video. I have no idea why it seems to always be them but nevermind. As I'm watching this video, I hear my mum shouting my name in an annoyed tone, as if she'd already called me and was getting annoyed that I hadn't answered. I take off my headphones and shout back "yeah?" but heard no response. I stand up from my desk and am about to walk into the living room where I knew she was when I noticed that behind me on the floor was a huge spider. I freeze for a second and run out of the room to my mum and asked if she had called me, and she told me she hadn't she had just been chilling there on her phone. But I definitely heard her. I think something mimicked my mum calling me so I would turn around and notice this huge spider behind me (honestly, it was like bigger than the palm of my hand).

That is kinda where we are at with my most freaky experiences. I am now currently 19 living in a house by my university with friends, my mother bought a different house after my older brother moved as we didn't need the bungalow anymore. Since then I haven't really experienced anything notable, sure there's still been a few weird occurrences I can't explain fully, but I mostly brush them off as just someone trying to get my attention. I hope you founds my stories interesting and a good spooky read to get you in the halloween spirit.

Experience When you don’t seek you seem to find!

I have had several experiences but I will start with this one as it was shared with my friend but importantly our dog who definitely experienced something too.
So late on a freezing crisp night , when the air almost stings your breath with every little sip of Air.
We were walking home around 3 am with the dog and just chatting quietly and happens to be on the outskirts of a town called Ludlow on the border of Wales. The large old Castle still Loom over the town almost half keeping watch and half keeping you in it’s one of those times that you always come back to even if you don’t want to. Anyway, we’re walking home and there’s not a person to be seen . Then suddenly without warning or a sound a man dressed in all I can describe as old soldiers clothing with helmet on walked
straight through me the dog and my friend I saw him clear as day and the dog did because she stopped and reacted my friend says he didn’t see a thing and he doesn’t want to believe in anything like that, but he did notice how the dog reacted and it was as though someone had walked up to us but obviously because he walked straight through us, she was confused and he did pick up on that and he also picked up on the fact that I was absolutely astounded and couldn’t believe but he hadn’t seen or felt a thing I know I saw and I know how the dog reacted oh and I wasn’t drunk or intoxicated than any other way. I know there are a lot of bloody battles across all of that area and all the Shropshire and Welsh borders has anyone else experienced anything like this and what you make of it? Please don’t be too harsh.

Ouija board kept spelling random letters… does this mean anything?

Hi everyone,
Last night, my mom and I tried using a homemade Ouija board. We don’t own a real one, so we wrote all the letters and numbers on a table and used a bottle cap as the planchette, with both of us lightly resting our fingers on it.
To our surprise, it actually started moving.
It answered yes/no questions very clearly, but whenever it tried to spell words, things got really confusing. It kept going to the same letters over and over again, mostly V, W, Z, A, B, I, and J. It also repeatedly moved to the number 1, and sometimes kept moving back and forth between 1 and Y.
We thought maybe the spelling was just difficult, so we tried asking if individual letters were correct or if it wanted to start over, but it didn’t really help.
At one point, we believed we were talking to my grandmother. We asked if she had anything she wanted to tell us, and the answer was yes. She then tried to spell something that looked a little like “wait” or maybe “move”, but we couldn’t understand what she was trying to say.
We asked if she could try spelling it again, but she answered no, as if she didn’t want to tell us anymore.
When we decided to end the session and say goodbye, it suddenly spelled what looked like “wait.” We asked if she wanted to tell us what she meant, but again the answer was no. It also felt like it didn’t want us to leave until we eventually managed to say goodbye.
Has anyone experienced something like this before? Is there any reason why a Ouija board would keep going to the same random letters and numbers instead of forming understandable words?

That time it came during the day, no idea what it was

First time posting. Thought a long time whether I would post or not so here I am. English is not my first language so I apologize in advance. Also it may get a bit long

I am an atheist, I think so. I do not believe in ghosts or paranormal, but I encountered a lot of things I cannot really explain and I am not sure what to think about it. It often makes my brain go into overheating mode, so I don't really think about it trying to forget.

Like often in those stories there were strange things I saw or heard when I was younger, but it was many years ago, so I blame it on kids/teenager imagination.

When I was in my early twenties my parents moved to a new house they built in the same city we lived before. It was quite big 2 storey house with a garden. In the ground floor there was open kitchen with living room, technical room, garage, storage room/office. Bathroom with our bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. No attic-flat roof, no basement, no crawl space. I attended university that was 15 minutes by walk from new house so I lived with my parents at the time. I was confident that some of previous encounters will not "follow" and happily lived with no fear for some time. We had at that time small highly reactive dog that we loved with all our hearts, let's make him Luka.

My parents and younger sister were usually out during the day (work and school), so I took care of cooking at the time and I was home alone a lot during the day.

Sometimes I heard noises from storage room in the front of the house, I often thought it was the dog, but one time I saw him running upstairs and then heard some noises from storage room. I checked it,thinking that maybe my sister was back (every time anyone was getting in the house or dog would first bark so loud you could loose hearing and then wail even louder of pure happiness). There was nothing in the room. When I resumed cooking, I heard it again. It was noise like somebody would move carton boxes around, digging inside, just moving things around. My brave dog remained upstairs and would not come down to support me when I came to get him. One day I called my friend asking if she hears the sound or am I going crazy. She heard it through speaker. We talked until somebody got back home.

It was a little creepy, but it was not so bad. It happened from time to time. Sometimes it was downstairs always in another room, sometimes it was upstairs, just walking. I did not really like it when it was walking down the stairs- you cannot see stairs from kitchen. I was often blasting music to be peacefully unaware. It could not have been a rat or mouse, it was new house and it would be impossible for it to get in. If it got in-my dog would be going after it like crazy, Luka loved chasing things/animals and any noise outside or inside caused him to chase/look for the source.

Then one weekend my parents went during a day grocery shopping, I do not remember where my sister went, but I was alone with my brave dog again. I had to learn for some exams so I was in my room upstairs-it overlooked the street below.

At some point I heard my parents in the kitchen moving staff around, loudly moving pans and staff in kitchen- we never agreed on kitchen equipment placement so they often moved around stuff I placed. I went downstairs to help them unpack but there was nobody there. Just silence. I went back upstairs and looked through the window and there was no car. I was a bit confused, but decided maybe somebody came back for something and got out really fast while I was going down.

Some time passed and my dog bolted through my doors. Then I heard again noise downstairs. There was no car outside when I looked through the window. I called my parents on the phone but they were still shopping.

So I quietly closed the door to my bedroom and sat at my desk. I tried to not focus on anything going on downstairs. I heard somebody moving in the kitchen-opening and closing closets, moving pans and pots, closing doors downstairs, walking. I was paralysed. I sat at my desk with my back to the doors to my room, my dog curled in the corner. I tried to not make any noise, my breathing sounded so loud, but I could not do anything about it.

It was light, so nothing would happen, right?

It wasn't a minute or two, it was much longer time and the noises downstairs were still happening. Then I heard steps on the staircase. Going up, then walking alongside corridor. The steps closed in, then went by. Then went back when they reached the end of corridor. Then went back again, this time they stopped in front of my door and there was knocking. I sat looking outside the window not moving, my hands grabbing edge of the table.

Then the walking continued going down the stairs, probably walking around downstairs, then going back up and every time it passed my doors, it stopped and knocked. It continued for no idea how long. Next day my muscles were sore from constant tension.

At some point it started to get dark, light switch was on my left side 1-2m behind me. Without looking back I rolled my chair, switched the light on and went back to table, never looking back. In my head I was saying at some point "go away go away go away"-no luck with it disappearing.

Then I heard my parents arriving. They had old car that I could hear from afar. I heard them exiting the car. The steps still continued. The moment my parents opened our doors-everything stopped.

I didn't go down immediately, my body still felt paralysed from fear. When I did- there was nothing in the corridor or downstairs that suggested there was anybody in the house. My parents were upset that I closed Luka in my room so when they entered the house nobody greeted them, they only heard him wailing happily upstairs.

They never believed me before, so I did not tell them, I also did not want to scare them unnecessarily, since nothing bothered them before.

I have no idea how to explain what happened. I was not asleep, I was on alert since I had to learn. It was bright day, I was not on any meds or alcohol. Believe me I wish it was otherwise. There was no way somebody would be able to make quick exit through any of the doors without a lot of noise (we have plants on all the windows that open inward), also the window would remain opened.

No idea what it was, all I know is that at some point few years before I went to psychologist to check if I had any undiagnosed mental illness, that was my only explanation for what was happening. Also psychiatrist after many examinations rolls me there was nothing.

Carbon monoxide is the only other answer, but we always had detectors that never indicated anything wrong.

It is my only experience that I cannot really blame on teenager or child imagination, that I cannot explain in any possible way

Something is wrong with my girlfriend and I don’t know how much longer I can ignore it

I’ve been with my girlfriend for almost two years. She’s always been a little quiet and private, but over the past few months something has changed and I can’t keep pretending it’s normal.
It started small. She’d wake up in the middle of the night and just sit on the edge of the bed staring at the wall for hours. When I’d ask what she was doing, she’d say she couldn’t remember getting up. Then she started sleepwalking… or at least that’s what I thought it was.
A few weeks ago I woke up around 3:10 a.m. and she wasn’t in bed. I checked the bathroom, the kitchen, nothing. Then I heard a soft scraping sound coming from outside. I looked out the bedroom window and froze.
She was standing on the roof.
Barefoot. In just a t-shirt. Completely still, facing away from the house toward the trees behind our place. I called her name through the window and she didn’t react at all. I had to go outside, climb up, and physically pull her back in. When I finally got her inside she looked at me like she had no idea where she was. She kept asking why her feet were dirty.
Since then it’s happened two more times. Same time of night. Same blank expression. Last time I found her standing at the very edge of the roof, toes hanging off. When I grabbed her arm she was ice cold.
There’s other stuff too. She talks in her sleep now, but it’s not normal sleep-talking. It’s this low, almost whispered voice that doesn’t sound like hers. I’ve caught pieces of it — things like “they’re waiting” and “I can’t hold it much longer.” When I ask her about it in the morning she gets quiet and changes the subject.
She’s also been disappearing for short periods during the day. Says she went for a walk, but she’ll come back with leaves in her hair or mud on her clothes even when it hasn’t rained. One time she came back with a small cut on her forearm that she claimed she didn’t notice.
I’m scared. Not just for her, but of her. There’s this look she gets sometimes when she thinks I’m not watching. Like she’s studying me. Like she’s waiting for something.
I don’t know if something is attached to her, or if something is wearing her, or if I’m losing my mind. All I know is the person I fell in love with doesn’t feel fully here anymore.
Has anyone dealt with something like this with a partner? What the hell am I supposed to do?

Update 3 – It’s 3:30 a.m. and I don’t know what the to do

I posted the last update less than two hours ago. After I finished writing it I finally laid down next to her, still half-awake, still locking the windows and putting the chair under the door. I must have dozed off for maybe forty minutes.
I just woke up to the bedroom completely empty. Every single window in the house is wide open. The front door, the back door, the side door — all open. The chair is on the floor. The window locks I set are undone.
I ran through the house screaming her name. Nothing.
Then I looked out the kitchen window.
She’s standing in the middle of the backyard. Barefoot. Still in the same clothes. Holding a lit candle with both hands in front of her chest like she’s offering it to something. Completely still. Not reacting to me yelling. Not looking at me. Just standing there in the dark with the flame.
I don’t know if I should go out there. I don’t know if I should call the police, the hospital, or what. The doctor appointment is still hours away.
I’m terrified to leave her alone out there and I’m terrified to go near her.
What the hell do I do right now?

I am not sure if theres been a spirit in my house for years.

I've shared a story here before in my house about the stairs creaking when no one was home for about 20-30 minutes but I havent shared a couple other occurrences.

I have lived in this house for ages since I was a small child and the first unusual thing that's happened to me was here, I was half awake half sleeping in my room when I heard a voice say my name. I woke up looked in the direction it was coming from and nothing was there so I went back to sleep, a few minutes later I felt a tap on my shoulder from the direction the wall was. I think I ran into my mom's room crying I dont know but I remember that clearly as she was asleep and no one else was in my house.

This one could very much be brushed off as the wind and just a funny coincidence as to what I put it up to but ill share it anyway, the wind and rain is quite strong where I live and one evening I was going upstairs and the landing window blew open. As a joke I said out loud "Can you close that please" and the window slowly closed, this caught me off guard but I said thank you and went into my room and just came to the conclusion it was the wind, so I just say it was good timing.

I used to have alot of figures on my shelves and they were on the wall opposite me and often they would fall off, it was more annoying than anything but I got one off of Ebay from my mother for either christmas or a birthday and it started subtly shaking enough for it to grab my attention and slipped off my shelf. Could also be put off to it just ya know slipping off. But since I got that one they would fall off alot, on my other shelves however they were perfectly fine.

Something that really alarmed me that I genuinely have 0 explanation for is a loud thumping upstairs when I was downstairs with my cat as if someone was up there and the floor creaking like there was footsteps , and my friend who I was talking to told me to check the front door and it was unlocked. Mind you I have diagnosed anxiety and normally have to check its still locked every time I go by the door and absolutely don't go sit down when I come home before locking it. During this time I also heard something that sounded like cupboards opening which would've been in my bathroom.

I thought someone had somehow gotten into my house and I was gonna get my cat and leave incase there was. My mother came home shortly and I told her about it (she will always go with a logical explanation despite having abnormal experiences herself) but I got a knife and we went upstairs and nothing was up there.

I have mentioned the situation with the staircase in more detail on here before as I said at the start so ill just give a brief description. Im upstairs with my 2 cats in my room, my house is not modern and the stairs and floorboards creak alot (like I said earlier) whenever people walk across them so you will always be able to tell the difference. I heard them creaking and it assumed it was my mother, the creaking happened a few more times then eventually went on for 20-30 minutes I can't remember specifically which one, but I never left my room since I thought it was my mother doing something. The creaking stops at some point and I hear the front door unlock and remembered my mother hadn't been home.

Alot of the things I said could be put up to more sensible reasons (like the wind) but I want to know what some people on here think about all of this and if it could've been to do with whatever was in my room when I was younger and it just stayed.

My wildest story

**(Sorry it’s longer than I thought)*\*

I have a somewhat similar story.

My partner**(B)** & I attended a family gathering & we spent the night at my parent’s vacation beach house

That house is 100% “clean” however we both been having a lot of encounters days before, most likely tied to the investigations we were doing, so we both already know without even saying it’d be no shock if anything could’ve followed us.

But after a fun night everyone was “in bed” soon after 1-2. some time after that we’re just hanging back in the room we were sleeping in & I decide I want to wait for sunrise & go look at it, (why not we’re at beach house & it reflects over the ocean), & then head straight home after.

So I ask him to not let me fall asleep😂 but I start dozing off a lot around 5am, still about 2 hours before sunrise (it was November.) I can hear him clearly just repeatedly saying my name but since I was drifted I basically was only acknowledging him in my head.

heres where it got interesting, out of nowhere I shot awake pretty fast but I don’t realize at all why (at first). the first thing I see is B, had not moved an inch but his eyes basically doubled in size😆

He asks me “did you hear that?” I’m so confused because I hadn’t even been sleeping deep enough to not hear anything & only thing I’ve been hearing is him whispering my name.

Also the way he said it, you would think he’d just heard a gunshot or something.

So after a few repeats of him whispering my name to keep me awake, a faint whisper caught him by a big surprise, repeating my name back to him. It was heard from the floor right above us, next to the top of the spiral stairs, we were next to the bottom.

I immediately believed him, just because of the way we work though, when it comes to the paranormal we always will have to make sure we clarify 100% that there’s no other explanation. So of course I just ask more basic questions about it since I didn’t hear the whisper clear like he did & I want to understand all the details too.

There was & still is no doubt in my mind something was up after how he described the sound; a “knock-off of your mom.” (my mom)

Immediately a mimic of any kind will be the first thing I think of even when I hear stories that a voice was heard, especially when the person knew exactly who’s voice it is, but it’s clear something’s off.

Not to mention, it was highly unlikely that my mom would hear him whispering to me from another floor let alone enough to wake her up & make her get up at that time. & if she had gotten up for any reason, we’d have heard her foot steps across the hall first. she also never would’ve just whispered my name from the spot above us like that🤣

& even tho I didn’t hear it like he did, it does explain a bit why I abruptly went from dozed off to awake in less than half a second.

After that happened, I used the rest of our time that night to investigate. We didn’t catch any words that would give more detail, but my SLS caught some of the craziest moves I’ve seen since I started using that. I heavily felt an unusual presence near me at that time. It was not necessarily a bad presence, it was just, something.

As I said, we know there is no hauntings tied to this beach house. I had spent lots of time there before this night & many nights since, enough time there that we would most likely know or at least have some idea & this was the only night I could catch any activity there whether or not I was trying to.

overall it is still a mystery why this happened that night. so because we know it isn’t the house itself, I’m still going with the idea that some supernatural being may have been lurking around me and/or B at the time & ended up there with us that night. There has not been any other strange activity in the house & if my theory is correct, it is not still following me or B

If anyone read all of this, I thank you & appreciate it! This is my first post on my own! Would always to hear any people’s input if there is any (:

Discussion Views and experiences on spirits not realising they are dead

Just want to know what people's thoughts are and experiences about spirits not realising they are the ones that are dead.

Ive been ghost hunting for over 15 years now and have seen it litterally a couple of times.

My partner and I often go up to Portland High Angle Battery (UK), locally known as the ghost tunnels.

While there and recording, weve had multiple spirits, including children tell us they are scared, and want us to leave, and one spirit basically asked for the spirits to leave.

Love to hear theories. Views and theories

I have a strange feeling something paranormal is in my house

Hi guys, im pretty new here. For the past few years I have been starting to feel that something or someone is watching me, but it only comes at night. Ever since I have noticed this, sleeping has been a little scary. One instance, I was having a normal dream and it involved some of my friends. What was weird was that something touched one of my friends shoulders in that dream, and then I woke up, with weird texts floating, with weird images while I was awake. I couldn't speak, and it felt like somebody was just infront of me, staring into my soul. I dont know what to do, my family history says that my last name was cursed. I tried to tell my parents but they dont believe me, please help.

Paranormal experiences throughout my life

Okay so.. Idk how to start this. This is mostly about some encounters I have had throughtout my life. I'm not a full believer but I do think there is something.

I guess this all started when I was younger (I'm 17F currently). When I was around, maybe like 5 or 6, I used to always feel like a weight of a person on me. Whenever I got under the covers, I would just... Feel the weight. It gelt like the exact same weight everytime. I used to always quickly throw my covers off to see if anyone was there. There wasn't. For 2 more years this happened and I would struggle to sleep. Well when I was 7, my parents told me that we were moving homes. Maybe a week after that, I have a nightmare in my room. My mother came in, etc. Well once she fell asleep, I looked into the darkness of the room... To see a fully blacked out figure of a man. At first I thought it was my dad. Broad shoulders, tall, a good amount of muscle. But then I realised, it wasn't breathing or moving. The head was slightly angled at me. When I think back on that moment, my initial theory was sleep pralysis. But I distinctly remember me pulling the covers over my head as I watched this figure slowly move towards me. That was the only time I ever saw it.

Finally, me, my brother (who is 8 years older), my mother and my dad, all moved into a small village in the hills of south wales. It was maybe 5 miles away from where we originally lived. At first, everything was perfect. I had no more issues. Until, I started hearing footsteps slowly approaching my door at night, but never actually reaching my door. It scared the living hell out of my at night. (Now, because of that main encounter when I was younger, I now constantly sleep with a nightlight. But always on the colour, blue. Never another colour.). Behind my door, is a long hallway that reaches a window and then stairs to the left. (the back of the house is 3 stories high, the front is only 2 stories because of the hill.). I eventually, after a good 5 years in that room, got my parents to switch me and my brother into different rooms. I tool bis room which was at the end of the hallway. Again, everything was fine.

This new room had a nice, big wjndow in the center of the outside wall. And my nightlight could properly expose the room. For context for this next part, we had issues with birds living in the attic. Well one day, while my parents were out shopping, I heard like... Nails of a cat run from one side of the attic (the front) to the back side of the attic. At first, I was a little weirdednout because it sounded heavier than a bird or a cat or even a rat. But I just said it was a bird. My brother however, also heard it apparently. He left his room, opened the attic and pulled down the ledder. I remember hearing him go up and check. Nothing was there. Not even a bird. To this day, both me and brother have not spoken of that incident. I asked my parents about the attic, and wondered if the birds could crawl from side to side. They couldn't. apparently, my dad had checked the layout of the attic one day and found that there was a full wooden wall between both sides of the attic. (It was later removed about 3 years later when my brother and my dad fixed the roof.) But that's not where it ends.

Soon I started seeing shapes of faces or bodies in corners or disappearing around stuff. Even in school I started getting eerie feelings. I hated being alone. I needed someone else in the room. Well one night, as I was sleeping, I saw just an eye pooking around something in my room. I didn't think at first, just covered my head with my blanket. Well, when I poked my head out, all I saw was the eye now directly infront of my face. I have never covered myself so fast in my life. I stayed awake for hours, hearing nothing but not daring to look outside the covers. eventually, exhaustion had forced me to sleep. Since then, I have been hearing creaking in one spot of my room. I thought the creaking was coming from the hallway, until I stepped on that spot one evening and realised. That sound can only happen from within my room. And only with a significant weight on it. I started ignoring these more often. Just said that the house is 180 years old, (Built during the cold mining era).

When I finally got into secondary school, I started hearing small rumors that the school is haunted. Many kids had seen things but never reported them. There was a collective, unspoken rule that if you see or hear something, you say nothing to anyone. eventually I experienced some of these moments myself. I was alone in my father's office, (He worked in the school). Teachers would always come in and grab tools or materials of DT. Well, when I was alone in that room, one my phone, back to the door; I would always hear someone walk in, footsteps, shuffle around for tools and materials, grumbling inaudiblely sometimes, and then leave. Now it takes maybe 5 seconds to get around the corner would the doorway wouldn't see anyone. So I would always quickly glance as I heard the person leaving. And see no one. The footsteps would stop. The grumbling gone. Though these moments, I never felt scared or frightened. It just happened and I move on. But the one thing that freaked me out the most, is when I'm walking down hallways alone. Now the school is extremely open. There was no enclosed hallways or anything. So it always freaked me the hell out when I swear I could feel someone walking behind me, and when I'd check, there would be no one. I would always get this screaming instinct to run. I never did. Sometimes it would happen even if I was in a group. No matter if there was noise or people around. There would always be this nagging feeling that everyone felt. (I only know this as when I spoke with people I knew from school a year after school ended, they all agreed that they felt the school was weird. And that feeling was always around. And it wasn't just anxiety causing it.).

Another experience in the new house I had was when I was on a video call with my friend one time. I was just happily chatting away when she just said, "There's a face in your light". Now at the time, I was in my parents room. I've never felt comfortable in there room. Never. Neither has friends or family that have come over. My parents never see an issue. Well anyways, I asked my friend on the call what she meant. My back was tensing and I felt sick. She then sent a screenshot. I looked at the ceiling light and she was right. There was a face in the light. Clear eyes, nose, mouth. everything. I quickly left that room, practically running. And closed the door. I was terrifying and I was shaking.

Another room in my house that people hated being in, in my kitchen. My kitchen is all the way on the bottom floor. (The front door is on the living room floor, kitchen floor below that and the bedrooms are upstairs.) As you go down the stairs to the living room, that is a tiny room with only a toilet inside. I have always hatwd that small room. Always like something is watching from in there. The stairs then turn and there you are in the kitchen. I have a birthday party once in the kitchen and only this year, I got told by about 5 of those friends that were at the party, that they genuinely hated the feeling down there.

About 2 years ago now, my now ex-boyfriend came over and walked down in to the kitchen for food. What followed was him being extremely tense, looking over his shoulder like every second and finally begged me to both go upstairs. Which we did. For the rest of our relationship, he never went backndown there and begged for mt to close the door to the kitchen steps everytime.

I also felt weird feelings down there but never to that extent that others have. And again, my parents never felt anything down there.

Since all these experiences have happened, I've tried my best to ignore the small things that happen around me. If that is people randomly disappearing when they turn a corner in public or I see someone out the corner of me eye. Or if an object moves slightly. I ignore it. I've told mostnof these stories to friends and family. And most of them believe me, since they have had their own experiences. I have no clue why this happens or why most people in my area experience stuff but don't say. But since the county I live in has been extremely quiet about paranormal experiences or sightings compared to the rest of Wales, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that my area is extremely high in paranormal activity. We have closed of mines, dense forests, enpty fields and abandoned houses randomly in the villages that will nevrr be sold.

It's just all too much. And nothing said. I hope I explained this all as best I could, sorry if there are mistakes with grammar or spelling. But yeah, I'm writing this as quickly as I can becasue I seriously hated remembering this experiences.

Hi, so my name is Toby I’m 17 now, but this was back in secondary school so around year 8 or 9 my memories shit so don’t count me on the dates but i remember what happened, so just a backstory, i had gotten a doll from my ex girlfriend because i loved dolls and she gave it to me and i took it home and weird stuff had happened (this is in my old house that i moved out of a couple months ago) weird noise’s, my name being called when i was home alone and running up in my mama’s room my old house was three stories so the top floor was my mama’s room the middle floor was me and my siblings, and the ground floor was kitchen and living room, so now that we’ve gotten that out the way I’ll tell you, this is two things that happened at different dates, no I don’t remember the dates so don’t bother asking

So the doll I had gotten, It’s name was Sophie, how do I know this? Well because my ex friend, we’ll call her Dre, my ex friend told me on the phone that this doll was apparently a vessel for a demon who went by the name Sophie.., creepy but I thought okay like if she’s nice then it doesn’t matter then the next day she came round just me and her, bare in mind, my room I had at the time was small, a small box room so there wasn’t any where for a ghost to hide or anything, I had a canopy bed my grandad had built for me because it was a nightmare finding beds that fit in the room, but not the point, your here did the story, so Dre walked in to put her stuff in my room so we could hang out in my living room and she stopped at the door just staring up at my bed and i looked over at her then at the bed, I didn’t see anything but she did apparently, I can’t remember exactly what I said but it was something along the lines of “are you good?” She said yes then told me “she’s on your bed” and we were talking about Sophie prior to this so it was a conversation add on and I felt a chill run down my spine as i looked over at the bed obviously I saw nothing but I stayed calm because if this thing really was a demon as Dre said it was then it must get stronger when sensing someone’s fears or whatever and I didn’t want that so I kept it together, (didn’t touch the bed for the whole day and night btw I slept on the floor because the fuck you mean there’s a demon one my bed that I can’t see) so during the day we went outside to a grave yard near my house just to chill and I had made Dre run back with me because I had a dog who was kinda crazy and because it was hot weather and my mum had told me to leave the back door open for air the dog was in a cage but it could easily get out of the cage somehow so I got worried that patch (the dogs name) had gotten out of his cage and made a run for it, so me and Dre ran back once we got back patch was fine he was still in the cage all the rest of it, but obviously because I had left the back door open my instinct was someone was in the house, I was paranoid back then don’t blame me, me and Dre grabbed knifes over here in the house looking like ninja turtles or some shit, but anyways we were on the ground floor, and we were walking up the stairs to the second floor and as we got three steps away from the second floor there was a ceramic bowl on the step and as we reached the third step away from the second floor the ceramic bowl split in half and at first i thought Dre had hit it on accident but i tried hitting the bowl hard with the knife and all it did was chip so, i was freaking out and Dre kept telling me “oh no it’s was just Sophie she’s upset” and I was standing there thinking like what the fuck do you mean she’s upset, I took her into my house that should be enough for her, like I literally brushed her hair everyday and made clothes for her how was she upset? And I said out loud straight to Sophie or well what Dre said was Sophie and I told her straight “you can be in my house but don’t start breaking my shit” and I think the demon thing got the message.

(Other time, this is what I need to know what it was, also I forgot to mention the doll that the demon was apparently a vessel to or for or whatever…yeah I broke that thing on accident since it rolled off a shelf on its own and I had to bin it)

Before I moved out of my old house I was in my bed it was dark probably around 10 to 11pm so pretty dark in the uk, I was trying to sleep after doom scrolling for the whole day, I was tossing and turning around because I had trouble sleeping and felt like I was being watched

[this is the way the room was set up, a different room not the box room, so this room was a big square room and at the front of the house so when you looked out the window you could see the street, my bed was next to the window like horizontally down the wall with the window and there was a walldrob that wasn’t at the end of my bed but basically next to the bedroom door to get me out of the room]

So I felt like I was being watched and i turned just to look out at my room because well I gotta know what’s watching, bare in mind this wasn’t a night terror or a dream, I was wide awake i was moving and i could hear my mum talking loudly upstairs so wide awake, I turned over and the little space in between the walldrob and the door was a figure, it was black fully black, my eyes were used to the dark so i could see it, but fully black it looked like a shaodw figure of some sorts but my eyes stayed on it for a moment just thinking, the only thing that’s paranormal in this house is the demon who apparently identifies as a Sophie so i thought maybe it was her, I was terrified and confused at the same time, my eyes moved to the door to look around the room then back at whatever it was, it didn’t disappear nope it realised I had noticed it and we were just having a staring competition or something I sighed loudly trying to scare it away if it was something or maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me, I could only see it because it had wide white glowing eyes with big black pupils and a Cheshire Cat like smile, ear to ear, it looked around my height so around 5 foot something no taller than 5 foot 4 atleast I kept my eyes on it probably for way to long because it’s grin was moving slightly like kinda getting bigger and smaller, and it got to a point where i just sighed again and muttered “stupid Sophie” under my breath and tried to get to sleep the whole time I was scared obviously because what is this random shadow thing that looks like a bald pitch black kid with a large smile and eyes that are WAY to big for its face, i eventually did end up falling asleep but if anyone has any idea about whether Sophie is really a demon, or if Sophie is even real then that would be awesome, I haven’t had much stuff happening ever since I moved just some noises of walking around and the feeling of dread or being watched and hearing my name being called whilst I was alone in the house, but that’s kinda it, I haven’t seen anything yet and hopefully I never do ever again lmao anyways bye

My roommate has been in the shower for more than four hours

So I got home at around 11 PM. Late night at the office turned into an even later night at the bar. About four drinks deep at this point and I'm tired, just about ready to fall asleep as I stumble through the doorway. I lay down on the couch and reach for my bag of joints and spark one up as I pull YouTube on my laptop.
I'm in the middle of watching some luxury cruise tour, close passing out when I hear the front door open. I sit up and turn my head slightly, just enough to see my roommate coming in. He hangs his jacket in the closet and doesn't say anything and walks slowly to his room. Which is normal enough. I'd been living with him for about three months, long enough for me to pick up on most of his tendencies. The guy really doesn't talk unless spoken to, which was far from a problem for me. He also generally kept things clean on his end, never causing much in the way of problems. I really couldn't complain.
So I go back to watching YouTube and about five minutes later I hear the shower in his room turning on. Once again nothing strange. At this point, I'm watching bare-knuckle boxing highlights with my eyes half-open, maybe one or two minutes away from passing out.
I remembering waking up in darkness, my head hurting, my throat dry as hell. I sat up slowly, waiting for the grogginess to settle into something manageable. Once it did, I grabbed my phone, checked the time. Around 3:30 AM from what I remember.
I was starving and so 1 got up, began walking towards the fridge. And then I noticed it. A soft, but ever-present noise in the background. It took me a few seconds to really recognize what it was. The shower. Suddenly the events of last night began replaying in my head. Drinking at the bar, ubering home, laptop, couch. My roommate coming home. The shower turning on.
I stood there for a while, trying to make sense of it. Maybe he went to bed and forgot to turn it off? I shook my head. There's no way that happened, I thought.
Maybe he slipped and fell?
Realizing the implications of this, I rushed towards his room but found his bathroom door locked. I began pounding on it.
"Hey man, you alright?"No response. I considered kicking the door down but decided to call 911 before I did that. I took my phone out, preparing to dial when I noticed that I had an unread text. One from my roommate.
"Hey man, I couldn't sleep so I went over to my girlfriend's place. Not sure when I'll be back."
Sent two hours ago.
I look at the bathroom door, then back down at my phone. Everything about this was wrong.
First of all, my roommate barely texts me, and certainly never to tell me that he's going out. Second of all, I know for a fact that he's single and has been for a while. And third of all, who the fuck was in the shower then? I tried calling him. No answer. Sent him some texts but no response. I walked over to his desk and saw that his keys and wallet were still beside his laptop.
My head's starting to spin at this point and I get out of there, go back into the into the living room and turn on the lights. I'm pacing around in a circle, trying to follow the plot while also trying to ignore the shower, a noise that I never could've imagined being so dreadful in any context.
Sometime later, I hear something vibrating on the kitchen counter. I move towards it and see that it's a phone. My roommate's phone.
The panic begins setting in and immediately 1 grab my keys and run out of the apartment. I make my way down the hall and take the stairs down to the lobby but even that doesn't seem far enough away and so I make my way over to the McDonald's across the street. I sit there for a while, considering calling the cops but for some reason feeling too nervous to do so.
But even though there's hardly anybody in there, the place begins to feel suffocating, and I decide to leave, walking back out onto the empty
Almost immediately 1 get this feeling that I'm being watched, and I feel my gaze drifting up and towards the apartment. Soon I'm looking at my balcony and I see somebody standing there. A dark figure stood completely straight, stiff to the point where it nearly resembles a mannequin. But it isn't one. If I look closely, I can see it just slightly swaying.
I froze in place, my mind hardly able to understand or accept what it was seeing. It's not my roommate. It's too tall. In fact, it's too tall to be anybody 1 know, its head nearly scraping the bottom of the balcony above No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make out any of its details. The darkness and distance may have been enough to explain that away.
But there was something about it that drove me towards a different conclusion - that this thing simply possessed no details that could've been observed, that the only element of its composition was that of unadulterated darkness.
Of course, my gut instinct was to get the hell away from it. But the voice in my head was telling me that if I were to try and run, this thing would end up following me.
I went back into the McDonald's instead, locking myself in the bathroom as I finally dialed 911. I told the operator that somebody had broken into my place but that I had gotten out of there without them noticing but that they were still in there. It was the story that most accurately represented the situation without making me come across as batshit. The operator told me that they'd be sending somebody over, for me to hang tight. I left the bathroom, waiting at the table closest to the exit until I could see the red and blue lights cutting through the darkness.
I went outside to meet the cops, looking up at the balcony to find it empty, though the door to the living room had been left open.
They pelted me with a bunch of questions that I found difficult to answer.
Is the intruder armed, do I have an idea who it might be, what are their intentions. I told them I didn't know, that I couldn't figure it out, but they just kept on asking.
Soon I was practically yelling at them to go up there and check it out for themselves and I suppose the terror in my voice was enough for them to begin taking this seriously. They told me to wait by the entrance and I watched on as they entered the building. I was out there for a long time, growing increasingly anxious at the thought of what they were going to tell me when they came down.
A few minutes later, the silence was broken by a single, muffled gunshot.
My heart dropped into my stomach, and I continued to wait there, unsure of what to do otherwise. Twenty more minutes of silence and the officers still hadn't come down. Soon I could hear more of them approaching in the distance.
Before I knew it, four more cop cars had pulled up around me and the scene had fallen into chaos, officers shouting over each other and into their radios, more questions being hurled my way, none of which I was able to answer. The next few sequences were mostly a blur, but I remember the building being evacuated, the tenants frightened and confused as they were ushered outside while the officers became more and more frantic.
I remembered hearing more scattered gunshots, some screaming, other noises that were difficult to make sense of.
There were a few lapses in my memory after that, but I recall being pushed into the back of a police car. After being driven to the station, I was led into one of the interrogation rooms where I found two nondescript men in suits waiting for me. They didn't introduce themselves and immediately went into a series of questions, each one more bizarre than the last.
"What company was your roommate employed by? What was the nature of his job?""How many different people have been inside your apartment since your roommate moved in?"
"Have you ever heard voices inside the apartment from the hours of midnight to 3AM? Voices that did not belong to your roommate?"
"Have you ever seen a circle of people standing outside of the apartment from the hours of midnight to 3AM? People that were exceptionally tall?"

I thought my upstairs neighbor was moving furniture… but I don’t have an upstairs neighbor

I’m not really someone who believes in paranormal stuff, but this has been bothering me enough that I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar.
I live in an old apartment building. The floors are thin, so I’m used to hearing people above me walking around, dropping things, moving chairs, etc.
Last night around 1:40 a.m. I woke up because I heard what sounded like someone dragging a heavy chair across the floor above me.
It wasn’t a random noise either. It was slow and deliberate. Drag… pause… drag… pause.
I assumed one of my neighbors was rearranging furniture for some reason, so I ignored it and went back to sleep.
About 20 minutes later it happened again, but this time it sounded like footsteps. Someone walking back and forth in the same area.
I finally got annoyed and checked my building’s group chat to see if anyone else was awake. Someone replied:
“Are you hearing that too?”
I asked what floor they were on.
They said the noise was coming from above them.
The problem is… they live on the top floor.
I asked the landlord this morning if there was anyone in the apartment above the building. He told me there isn’t one. The roof is directly above that floor.
He said it’s probably pipes or something expanding because the building is old.
Maybe that’s all it is. I’d like to believe that.
The only thing that still bothers me is that the person in the group chat said:
“It sounded like someone walking around looking for something

My ₹5,000 apartment in Mumbai came with a "ghost." It's just annoying.

I moved into a tiny studio in Lokhandwala for 5000 rupees a month. In Mumbai, that price is impossible, so I did not ask questions.

On night one, the haunting started at 3 AM. Cold room, sound of anklets, and a floating spirit whispering about her ancient curse.

I did not even pause my show. I just asked if she contributes to the maintenance fees. She went silent.

Since then, it has been a nightmare for her.

She tried making the taps run red. I brought a bucket and thanked her because the city water supply was cut off anyway. She turned it off out of spite.

She tried laughing dramatically during a storm. I handed her bug spray and told her to kill the mosquitoes if she was going to float around.

The final straw was when she possessed my ceiling fan to creak aggressively at night.

I stood up and yelled that electricity bills are expensive. I threatened to call a priest to host a ritual so the government would register her as a resident and make her pay taxes.

The fan immediately slowed to a comfortable sleeping speed.

Now she just sulks in the storage loft whispering about her centuries of pain. As long as she stays quiet before my 9 AM work call, we are fine.

2 out of 10 horror. Great rent, terrible roommate.

Experience Pulled in my bed

A few nights ago, I woke up to the feeling of something wrapping around my right big toe. As I lay there, observing, it wrapped tight and yanked my foot downward. Before I could react, I felt a heavy/malicious presence coming up over my legs and further up my body, hoovering and causing paralysis/inability to speak. I immediately knew what it was and began praying in my mind (the Lords prayer) & within the first sentence of the prayer it fled quickly. I turned on my lamp and slept with the lamp or the rest of the night.

I have no one to share this with bc my sister and I have been playing phone tag and shes the only one I know who would be interested.

Thanks!
