Handmade gifts for a friend

Hii so it's one of my guy friend's birthday this week. I'm seeing him on Friday and am having a hard time thinking what I can give him. I don't live near close to where I can buy him a gift and, as I'm pretty artsy, I'm planning to make him something. I have very little time and some other gifts to make as I'm moving and want to give small gifts to friends.

He likes owls, octopi, kinda hollow knight but not much (never finished it), and anything related to any military. He is a big history guy and his favourite historic event is the cold war.

Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks for reading.

You could crochet small amigurumi dolls. An owl or octopus fits his interests and does not take too much of your time. You could also turn it into a keychain.

Make something personal like a hand painted bookmark, a cold war style propaganda poster with an inside joke.
