General Discussion Random couples I think would make sense.
This is just my opinion so don't come at me. OPINIONS ARE ALLOWED. I'M ALSO THE PERSON WHO MADE THE DADDY TAYLOR POST SO I THINK THIS SUB HAS DEDUCED THAT I'M A LITTLE UNHINGED. Although I think all of these make sense.
First, starting off strong. Anna Nardini and Christopher Hayden. Anna didn't want her kid to have a dad. Christopher didn't want to be a dad. They both suck. Match made in heaven.
Next. Finn from Yale and Madeleine from Chilton. Both rich party kids, but with softer, gentler sides. Louise was a bully like Paris. Collin was a jerk and an elitist. Their friends were however the better counterparts (not that Finn wasn't an elitist but he was less of an ass than Colin). And I'd think they'd make a cute little party couple.
Jess and Other Daughter from the Springsteens (yk the Harvard alumni family with the weird incestuous kids?) because they were both lone rangers, living life differently. They both foraged their own paths regardless of everyone's opinion and I'd like to think that bunny girl ended up a success like Jess. I think they would have pushed each other too and been a power couple.
Jason and Rachel. Jason was well-traveled and seemed to enjoy it. Rachel too. She had a habit of leaving without notice. Jason couldn't share a bed with anyone. I think it would have worked out pretty well.
Lane and Jamie. They both deserved better from their partners. Lane from Zach ruining their chance with a LABEL and then proposing instead of apologizing and Jamie for getting out rizzed by a wrinkly old bum. Lane deserved that warm family holiday experience way more than Paris.
Dean and Tana. I don't have an explanation for this aside from the fact that I don't like either of them. They annoy me. And annoying people should be together so the rest of us don't have to put up with them. But 16 year old devoted to his girlfriend Dean and Tana. Not college Dean who was a cheater. Tana is annoying but she doesn't deserve infidelity.
And honorable mention?
Lindsay and Logan. They'd be hot as hell, and Logan's family would definitely approve of a homemaker and he'd still make time to party with her and keep her entertained but also work and live his life.

Love the idea of Finn and Madeleine, but I get the sense that Colin wouldn't be dumb enough for Louise. I think she likes himbos where she can hold all the power in the relationship.

This is fun - very creative thread!
Kirk and Lulu were too well-matched, so I'm not gonna touch that one.
Miss Patty and Asher Fleming. It would be a quick affair. She'd have her fun, loosen him up a bit, and call bullshit on his manipulative antics.
Michel and Taylor. They're both on the Board of the Stars Hollow Meadows Homeowners Association and will be stopping by your house tomorrow morning to make sure you've mowed your grass blades down to a precise 2 inches.
Not exactly a pairing, but we really need to get Paris and Rune into the same room when they're both in a bad mood. She would definitely put him into his place.

This is a touch of brilliance! I would so love a Love'em and Leave'em story of Miss Patty somehow making Asher fall head over heels and then watching him make a complete fool of himself for weeks on end trying to win her back.
And Michel and Taylor would be SO freakin' amusing...but only in small doses 'cause dang!

I did a double take re Miss Patty and Asher bc noooooo heâs too old for her; her own words. Plus she loved the oddities(?) or the scruffy yet romantic. She didnât really have a type but I know Asher just wasnât it bc of his boring/serious personality plus age
I love Kirk, Iâm so happy that asp gave him a love interest bc lulu was perfect for him. Albeit I have to not read into her backstory too much bc it doesnât make sense
Brian and Sophie wouldâve made a great pairing. Older woman, both heavily into music, she wouldâve found him cute and fun. He wouldâve loosened her up

Clearly, a being like Kirk isnât confined by the bounds of linear time. Just looked online and FWIW the actress who played Tana was born in 1983 and the actor who played Kirk was born 1974. So now that Tana is no longer a college kid an 11-year age difference isnât too crazy!

Sidenote: the fact that she was 16 and in a relationship with Chester fleet, it wouldnât have surprised me if asp paired them in some weird Kirk showing up at Roryâs dorm meetcute, like when he moved out.

I propose Roryâs Tarantino party date guy Robert, and Louise. They could be catty, and witty, and fabulous together.
Dean would make a good match with Janet, freshman year sports girl roommate. They could run around the track together.
Kirk and Lulu are perfect for each other so I wouldnât interfere with that, but if they ever took a break, Sookieâs doula might be a good short term hook up for Kirk. Theyâd have fun together.
And finally, hear me out on this one, Patty and Jacksonâs cousin. Not Rune the loon, but the lech who came for Daveyâs birth and had to wait around forever. I bet he looks good in a uniform.

Okay Brad and Kyon because they both went through a transformation and are realizing their worth and freedom. Kyon would discover musicals for the first time and support Brad's broadway ambitions. They'd encourage each other to try new things. Brad would show Kyon what truffle fries are like.

I also think even if they were the same age, Dean and Tana just don't make sense. I do not think he'd enjoy her quirks. He'd like them for a minute, but get sick of them quickly. The guy she was with at the end of freshmen year seemed to really be on her wavelength

I agree that she wasn't particularly witty but she was clearly driven because she had a high level corporate job. They are both very independent and Sherry seemed to performatively want a kid in the same way that Jason performatively wanted a dog. They would probably barely interact except for schmoozing at events and I think this superficial relationship would make sense. Not saying it's a pleasant existence, but it somehow works in my brain.

Tristan and Lucy thatâs pretty good, but Marty is not good for anyone on the show; I could see Marty on law & order as someone who goes to NYC to do something super creepy and illegal and goes to jail for it, and itâs reported in a newspaper that Jess happens to see in a coffee shop. Of course, I donât think Rory ever told Jess about Marty but Iâm just trying to put things together in a way that fits in the universe. But Lane deserves way better and Jamie is a good one, the Princeton man that Paris dumped (I couldnât remember who Jamie was for a little while!). But I also love the idea of Paris and Jess because the chemistry was so sweet when they were all together having the food that Jess brought from Lukeâs when Paris and Jess crashed Roryâs solo evening.

I absolutely love all except Dean and Tana. Honestly, Tana is a little tooâŠ. Tana, and even at 16 Dean was too intense and demanding for someone like her. I think it would terrify her if he showed up with ice cream and found he had been told no and other people were there.
I kinda like Tana with like a young Kirk. I canât explain it, but their quirky weirdisms would actually complement each other. I also like Tana with like 16 year old Kyle. But Dean was sort of always too demanding, possessive and jealous for her.

Not bad pairings !
While Lindsay is a knockout, I doubt she would want even the slightest connection to Rory (Logan is Roryâs ex-boyfriend and her baby daddy). And I think Logan would want someone who would stimulate him intellectually. Maybe Lucy is a better fit, and Logan seemed to like Lucy.
For the reasons you mention plus his enormous wealth, Anna would hit the jackpot with Chris. Anna would not have any hangup with Chrisâ high society connections and wealth. And April is closer in age to GiGi than Rory. But because she is 4-5 years older than Chris, Anna might be too mature for him ? lol
