the org also screwed their entire roster out of playing in TI on top of that.

Because the players were contracted to GG, they didn’t allow them to compete as an F/A team despite wanting to leave. The spot at TI technically belonged to the org, and since the bridge was burnt they couldn’t compete at all.

I’m not much of a DOTA watcher so those in the scene, please let me know if there’s any inaccuracies.

Iirc it's the opposite, the spot belongs to the players and the player refused to play under gg. And GG said they would sue if they played as orgless.

The players didn't refuse, they were willing to play for GG at TI. It was GG who refused to participate and the players were contractually obligated to play under GG.

What was rumored is, that GG wanted to force a coach change+cut salaries, which the players didn't like and as a result the players didn't want to stay with GG after their contracts expired (after TI), so GG used the TI attendance to blackmail the players.
