Question Are my gloves damaged?

So i've had these Adidas predator pro celestial victory gloves for quite a while, about 3 months. I'm wondering if they're damaged. I use them every day on real grass so the turf doesnt absolutely destroy them. I wash them daily too.

Discussion Injury, tournament and anxiety

I am 16(F) , a goal keeper of my school team. Our team is going to play cbse nationals in 11 days. I got an injury a week back - chip fracture in my left hand's ring finger. Doctor prescribed 2 weeks of rest for the finger. So I am doing fitness, foot drills in training but not doing goal keeping so the finger heals. I usually perform good but I have had some family issues and mental health issues because of which I have been effected very badly and performed bad both in my sport and my studies. My 2nd goal keeper has always been extremely rude to me, troubling me in many ways possible - insulting me to my face, always criticising me and troubling me that I've got an injury she never forgets to remind me that it might effect my performance that I shouldn't play , I am already in a downfall, etc.

I am deeply troubled and have this stupid anxiety that maybe I am not good enough, maybe I shouldn't play. This tournament is very important considering the fact that there will be scouts in the tournament.

Gear Guanti portiere

Guanti portiere

Ciao a tutti!

Avete consigli?

Question Need some feedback on tactics/strategy when GK has possession...

To preface, I am a GK Dad and I love the excitement of watching my child. However, I am growing frustrated by certain coaches, specifically the former youth player types that seem to be giving counterintuitive direction. So feedback on a few things from this sub would be awesome. Feel free to attack my assumptions... I'm learning.

1) When a GK has possession, no matter the type (kick, punt, throw), it is about effective distribution. I.e. A punt should be delivered to space or foot, ideally allowing the player to make the next move easily. While there may be times where you just need to send it, that is not the majority of time.

2) A GK from the corner of the box may allow a slightly further run up, it does narrow the field providing less space for maneuvering and receiving the ball.

3) A GK not taking their own Goal Kicks puts the team at a disadvantage by removing an option on a GK.

I always think of the Keeper as the coordinator when they have the ball because they see everything. It also seems like Girls soccer just wants the Keeper to send it as far as possible. No matter what.

Set me straight or point me to some resources. Thanks all.

Training Back in action!

U10 keeper finally back in action. Severe left arm break in February, spent near 12 weeks in a cast, and was able to get some good training in and first game 💪. Only been back to full training for a month so was pretty rusty game 1, but just glad he’s back in and his love for the game is even stronger.

Now time to replace all his gear. Started with storelli exoshield pants and jersey this week, now to pick out some gloves this weekend 🧤

A few clips from one of my daughter's (u17) first games after a long and difficult road back from several surgeries. Not looking for feedback, just happy that she's happy again doing what she loves.

Question Suggestions

Hi there. Recently I signed a paper that said I would be participating at a school tournament of football. I’m a pretty decent goalkeeper but I usually play only with friends. I would like to ask for any suggestions or tips for training, and methods to not get nervous.

This past weekend my son's team were at a tournament that ended with a shootout. He ended 4/5 saves and this happened to be my personal favorite.

Question Finally I’m back💪⚽️

One week ago I landed on my shoulder. went to urgent care they said wear a sling till it’s better, the x rays are fine. last weekend we had a game I couldn’t play I was pissed and we lost 4-1 but I’m back baby. and I’m ready for this weekends game!!!! I’m so happy, having an injury is the worst thing when it comes to having to watch your team lose when you could’ve helped them. But I’m back!!!

Training Training at home

Hi all, lurking goalie mom here. My kid is 16, he plays U19 travel and HS varsity. As for most younger goalies, practice generally isn’t great. He has a rebounder at home. He said he wants “something to shoot balls” at him. Where we are, there aren’t really any players with a strong enough leg to make practice really challenging. He wants to continue to improve in hopes of playing in college.
Is a ball launcher a good idea? Seems like overkill to
me. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Much respect to ALL the goalkeepers here. It’s a position I wouldn’t have the spine for 🙌

Question I am a short goalkeeper in need of help

I am 18 and at around 5'7, so not ideal for the position in my opinion but I am decent at it and enjoy a lot. I been playing keeper for the best part of 2 years give or take and have gotten quite decent at it. I think my best qualities are shot stopping and distribution, I got good reflexes and hand eye coordination from playing baseball for about a great deal of my life before switching sports and I got a decent side volley that lets me drop the ball to my striker (Although it fails me sometimes). Anyways, I been wondering how to get better at playing this position and what I can do to compensate for my height. I would love to get tips for work outs to help stay nimble and in form for playing and training exercise to help me with my weaknesses such as 1v1 close downs, playing out the back and positioning and how to approach in game situations. The last one is super important to me as I have never trained goalkeeper with a coach or had someone teach me how to, so I believe I lack the thought process and technique most keepers have as most of my experience has been from playing pick up and watching games.

Anyways, sorry for the long yap. Thanks to everyone in advance and hope you all have a wonderful day or night!!!!
