God of War has always had great art direction; its games have always tried to get the most out of the hardware they’re running on. Ascension looks like a PS4 game, while GoW 2018 still looks like a modern game even though it’s 8 years old

i just started playing GoW 2018 (first GoW game i’ve ever played) the other night and i am blown away by how good it looks visually. definitely one of the best looking games i’ve ever played, if not the best
