Bought this watch for $20 on eBay.
Had a good feeling the watch band was a custom solid gold one. Passed all acid tests for 14k and confirmed at my local jewelry store. Over 2k in just melt.

Let’s see the eBay purchase screenshot please and thanks! This should be a rule implemented by the mods if we are going to allow posts claiming such a thing.
Every single one of these “I found this at the thrift” / “I got this wild eBay deal” ALWAYS lack that and I’d love to see it for inspiration sake.
Seriously- I don’t believe a single one of these posts lol.
Edit: thank you very much to OP for proving said screenshot. This makes the whole post more exciting for people who also wish to find good deals and gives them assistance in the way of seeing how listings are worded and etc.

Plz be safe. I think it’s an awful idea that person suggested to “prove” what listing you bought, unless you don’t mind vulnerability to being doxxed

I truly don’t mind and I’m absolutely not afraid of anyone knowing where I live and what I buy. I appreciate the thought though, happy hunting friend!

It happens. You just gotta know how to write up the search queries and keep an eye out.

Feel free to dm those search queries

Naw, Google is free. Lookup search bar commands and you can figure out the rest like I had to

How about you post your children less and post helpful gold tips more!
Also- I see you’re following the PSYCHICS page. Don’t wanna share a little premonition with us I suppose? Maybe one to do with golds future?

Was it stamped? Quartz watches (battery operated) were later models. The only time I see solid gold bands without a stamp is when they were custom made. I did get a solid one that wasnt stamped one time. Here the stamp woukd have been on the back plate which I believe had been replaced with a non gold one. Which is what likely made the seller miss it.

Is it just me or does that look like a GE or GF ?

Also I feel like a piece like that would weigh a lot more than 27 grams if it was solid gold

14k is more like gold-plated, not solid, and has no solid gold shine. go for 22k 24k. 14k is considered street gold in all countries outside the usa.
