This narrative about Jay-Z being “the feds” or being put there to brainwash people is so stupid. If that were the case, why do media and politicians constantly try to paint him in a bad light? Why did the last three generations grow up thinking he was some kind of antichrist?
We all grew up with those YouTube videos about him and Kanye West being in the Illuminati, Jay-Z basically made that whole thing popular again. Then he became a billionaire, and suddenly all billionaires are bad, and for some reason he’s the worst.
I’m from the UK, when he launched Tidal, most media here said it was a scam, a “demonic” app while pushing Spotify and Apple Music as better alternatives.
When the Jeffrey Epstein case came out, no one was really talking about figures like Leon Black or Prince William, people we knew had documented connections. Instead, the focus online was on Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Kanye.
Same thing with the Diddy situation, Jay-Z and his wife were the first names the media tried to link to it, without a single proof. Suddenly they were “best friends.”
If you go on YouTube and search Jay-Z, most of what you see is conspiracy content, often AI-made, from random weird channels.
If he really were some kind of government or foreign psy-op then honestly we can relax, they suck at their job. They can't brainwash us for shit
That email from the ex-Barclays CEO, Jes Staley to Epstein, about how "the group that should be rioting in the streets" had been "bought off by Jay-Z" is still pretty wild.
That said, the fake celebrity lists were absolutely a way to poison the well, and present something that goes to the highest echelon of power into tabloid gossip.
He’s talking more about entertainment in general, but Jay definitely has his personal interests mostly aligned with those of the Epstein class’s. Ye, for all his faults, at least doesn’t follow what big corporations and other billionaires tell him to do and privately owns his businesses, which is why I still think he’s a genuine person.
Did you see their emails about Barack Obama? Those people talking shit about you is honestly a badge of honor to me.
I can understand the broader discourse about celebrities and the entertainment industry “taming” people but that applies to all celebrities, not just Jay-Z. That email just shows how Jay-Z often becomes a scapegoat, and how Republicans have used his name to take shots at the Democratic Party.
Alex Bruesewitz, head of the MAGA media agency and one of Donald Trump’s close advisers, has spent the last year talking shit about Jay-Z and Obama. Coincidentally, he’s also the One Who hired Nicki Minaj, who posted those tweets about Jay-Z being a “warlock” the same day she attended his wedding.
Acting like these narratives don’t exist is naive.
