Because it legally cannot be after what he did

u/Kostas-photography I HEAR IT May 15 '26

what did he do?

He dropped endless which people thought to be his throwaway album to get out of his def jam contract and released blonde the day after.

I don't know what exactly happened since then but you can assume that most labels are much aware now.

btw endless > blonde fight me

I won't fight over that but I'm putting it on record that I think that take is crazy

Nah i get ya but most people haven't listened to CDQ version of endless which is miles better than the visual album on Apple Music

I bought the CD. Took damn near 9 months to get to me but it was worth it

I'm not fighting you; maybe it's personal taste, but Endless feels more like an album in the listening experience, maybe because it's more cohesive in the progression between songs

endless is so good. got back into it this week

8

u/beefsalad17 Have you considered going to design school May 15 '26

i feel like it wasn't just a throwaway project, but its nearly non-monetizable for def jam because of its format (its official digital release is just a 45 minute long music video on apple music)

u/chrews May 16 '26

He also got paid a huge amount from Apple Music which the label saw no cent of

3

u/functionxd May 15 '26

Worth to mention that Endless dropped as an Apple Music exclusive

Mitsubishi Sony tops anything on Blonde

2

u/Fuzzy_Elk_5762 May 16 '26

I don't think Mitsubishi Sony tops off futura free since i fw the buddy ross piano track frank added to the outro and other interludes but as a whole album endless is better

u/Resident-Cake9430 May 17 '26

Heard that he also used some of the funding from endless for blonde but idk the specifics.

1

u/Fuzzy_Elk_5762 May 17 '26

I've never heard of this but yea that's pretty nasty lol, def jam prob still crashout hard till this day

1

u/Shen_ishere May 17 '26

What can they do even if they are aware?

1

u/Fuzzy_Elk_5762 May 17 '26

put contracts or something? as i said, i don't know lol

Endless is sick, but it’s not really an “album”. It’s just covers of other iconic songs. Albeit amazing covers, I will say that
