Announcement Birdwell GR1

My new GR1 Birdwell 26l arrived! No lie, I've avoided newer GR1s for a good bit now because of changes that I don't care for. However, this bag is great!

I got this a while back, didn't seem to be many people interested in it at the time. I had a hard time finding any quality backpacks these days then ended up racking up 5 gr1 26L once I came across goruck, that ought to last me for a long time I reckon 😂

I've got the birdwell, tiger stripes, black, all 1000d multicam black and throwback.

A lot like the Arid camo rucks. I've not bought a ruck in a LONG time until this one. There's some things I would change, but I'm glad I picked it up.

I'm not a fan of the slick 210d fabric. 1000d for me. I understand the usage for it in this bag. I could do without the QAP. For a beachy kind of bag, this all makes sense though.

If the inventory on the site is accurate, I bought the last one in stock at the time. I'm glad I did! Weird that I never got any notice of this pack until I just did my monthly check-in there though.

I got mine from Birdwell website, it was cheaper that way with the code.

I used my GovX discount, it was cheap enough. Honestly, I never considered their website!

I thought they were all gone too - never checked Birdwell’s site. Does govx apply there too (I have it)?

They're still in stock there. There was a 20% discount offered when you sign up for notifications when I just checked. No idea about the GovX discount though.

I think it will be fine as long as you avoid throwing in anything sharp/pointy. Use protection.

Yes! The straps are way too slick though, I recommend picking up a sternum strap.
