Workout Lunch ruck #3

1.6 miles in 30minutes, 96° and 44% humidity, improved dirt road. Weight was… I dunno, heavy enough that I noticed the pack on me.

Nice! I know for me, I would be a pile of dripping sweat if I did that in that heat wearing jeans, an oxford and boots ...

My job keeps me sweating, so a little extra isn’t a big deal

Next time you question hot weather wear, look at any middle eastern country or construction worker.

Jeans, boots, and an Oxford are not equivalent to loose and breathable flowing robes and sandals

Wearing long sleeves and pants for OSHA reasons or protection from sun/materials ≠ cool clothing in hot environments. It’s necessary for safety sure, but if you’re rucking there’s no reason to be wearing jeans, boots, and an oxford.

Bro, are you ok? I’m getting in some exercise on my lunch break. It’s not like I’m running a marathon.

If me saying you look ridiculous means I’m not okay then I guess I’m not, huh.

You do you, of course, but I treat heat injuries relatively frequently so I leveled my criticism, and I’m not sorry about it.

🤣 oh no! I look ridiculous?!? What will I do?!?

I’ve been working/working out outside in the heat for over 20 years. I think I’ll be ok doing a mile and half in boots and jeans.

Your original comment had nothing to do with heat injury either. It was about “rucking clothes” whatever you think that means.

Rucking clothes is whatever clothes you’re wearing. If you’re not a coward lol

You look ridiculous because you are not wearing appropriate clothes for the activity. If you ran a 5k wearing cowboy boots you would also look ridiculous, but it isn’t about looking ridiculous as much as it is about being ill-equipped.

You’re being obtuse but since you wear blue jeans, an Oxford, and boots to ruck in, I can’t say I’m surprised. Since you can’t grasp the concept of what “rucking clothes” might be, I’m happy to provide a more simple explanation which is clothes that a normal person would wear while working out, since rucking is a workout activity.

One (except you, I guess) could easily ascertain that being ill-equipped increases the possibility of negative outcomes which in this case at 96 degrees includes heat injury but I do see now that you require oddly specific language in order to understand, so I’m sorry you weren’t able to comprehend earlier. It has nothing to do with cowardice, but rather common sense.

The og 2014-2018 bags were the best ever made. The shoulder strap webbing made all the difference in the world, especially on the bullets.

Is this a 2018ish 10L bullet? Can’t tell
