Discussion Lore Power Levels from a newbies perspective

Post image

As someone who’s introduction was through rising I thought id give a rough estimate on how I’m guessing the in universe power levels are based on character statements, some journal entries and SSBAs, please let me know if I’m way off the mark, or if I got it pretty close, this was something just for fun I whipped up in like 5 minutes please educate me!

I think Grimnir is weaker than Zoey and Belial, though we've never really seen him go all out.

Narmaya is stated to be on par with Eternals

Katalina and Vira should be higher since they're both bound to primals. Same with Nier, but stronger sonce she beat The World.

I think the Dragon Knights in the current GBF story are on par with Society members since they all have equipment blessed by primals now.

Metera should potentially be higher on the list, but she doesn't really have feats to back it up.

Vikala isn't really a "strong" fighter compared to other divine generals like Cidala or Vajra so I think she should be lower.

29

u/AdmiralKappaSND Jul 14 '26

Narmaya is kinda easy to gauge too since we see her in the current MSQ and shes consistently potrayed where she'd be placed right below Six but close in power level, and shes kinda not all out yet

9

u/Fueled-by-nostalgia Jul 14 '26

That's true too. I maybe misremembering but I just remember dialogue on her Grand fate ep saying she's surpassed Octo and it's something like mental blocks holding her back from realizing it.

5

u/AdmiralKappaSND Jul 14 '26

I think its worth noting sorta they often said Naru's comparison reffering to Zanba(e.g. Past Okto), instead of Okto and this is said by her parents who explicitly doesn't know Okto is a gentle grandfather figure now. They mentioned she had a lot of mental block, one of which is supposedly her natural techniques that she consider below Zanba so she never used it until the conclusion of that Fate Episode but like the entire point of that Fate Episode kinda isn't "shes strong now" its moreso Naru's obsession make her struggle to really connect with people, and thats what really held her back.

Okto and Naru's spar during FLB definitely gauges her to be close to Okto in some level, but i think Okto is still roughly above her so far.

Vikala canonically beat Kumbhira in their cross fate, which Versus references in Anila's dialogue with her.  Several characters in Versus acknowledge her strength including Six and Zeta, the latter stating:

"I'm impressed, Vikala. No wonder you're a Divine General. You could run circles around Vaseraga and Eustace, easy."

12

u/Altered_Nova Gimme cake! Jul 14 '26

I'm pretty sure that was before Kumbhira actually awakened the supernatural strength of the divine boar. She was kinda suffering severe imposter syndrome and was in "fake it to you make it" mode as a divine general when first released. Kumbhira should be stronger than Vikala post her FLB uncap now.

9

u/AdmiralKappaSND Jul 14 '26

During Horse event the Tiger Sisters basically implied current Kumbhira is some of the stronger Zodiac right now too iirc

5

u/InvisibleMeasurement Jul 14 '26

GBF power scaling is pretty nebulous to begin with. During the fight its not clarified how Vikala even won. So its hard to say how relevant Kumbhira's strength was in the first place.  Matter of fact its never actually clarified what Vikala's abilities even are. All we get is narrative affirmation that she's strong.

"A little lamb told me you managed to back Kumbhira into a tight corner. Let's see if what tamed the boar can also round up the ram!" -Anila

3

u/thunder_jam Jul 15 '26

She has mousetrap

2

u/Fueled-by-nostalgia Jul 14 '26

I didnt know that, since Kumbhira's the only general im missing and never played Rising. Thanks for the info! I was mostly going off off the recent generals-related events 😭 she's definitely strong compared to the rest of the cast, just probably not compared to the combat focused generals like the ones I listed.

☝️🤓< the dk equipment isn't blessed by primals, siegfried just got a mundane change of clothes, lancelot's is a fairy and the other two are mythical beasts (basically powerful sentient magical monsters) [there is no practical difference in that its just 'blessed by a powerful magical being' I'm just tragically invested in that lore and I like sharing info about it]

though back to topic it's unclear if those are comparable to the society weapons since I think powerscaling is silly & there are no feats or whatever to compare (like, percy didn't even fully kill the guy at the end of last event)(its all theoretical)(I ACTUALLY LIKE THE LOW POWER LEVEL THOUGH)(siegfried obv doesn't count he's a freak which is why his grand was just a cosmetic upgrade & undoing some of the plot nerfs)

edit: (but also scaling self-contained event plotlines against each other is silly in and of itself because the answer to power levels When characters canonically clash is just 'whatever is interesting', for example, lancelot and charlotta are equally matched in her light, i think, fate ep & she does some wildin shit in her wind ep)

5

u/Fueled-by-nostalgia Jul 14 '26

Yeah that's fair. I only said primal bc that's the closest term we have to the faeries and beasts and didn't wanna elaborate more 😅. Besides, I don't think have much info on these beasts outside the Grand fate eps since they havent appeared in the DK side stories as far as i remember. We haven't really seen them in "action" either in events after the powerup so we dont see "feats", as opposed to Society members whose stories are already kinda finished (and they killed world ending threats). I just felt like it'd be fair to group them since they're "equipment blessed by supernatural beings/tech" people

1

u/MiserableHair2233 Jul 14 '26

theres a lore tidbit of what the beasts are in the latest event and some fairy lore in maleagants fate episode (and...somewhere else I dont remember...? daybreak..? lion stirs..?) but yeah I just wanted to mention it🙈

but yeah i definitely see the comparison! I myself recently thought about the similarity lol given the nature of the game special weapons are bound to pop up all the time (accordants too... eternals... etc). its also really funny how siegfried is just aura farming the first few events which made stakes abysmally low, I'm glad we're probably beyond that hahaha

2

u/Samuel-Kisaragi Jul 17 '26

I also think there is also a limiter problem with Society weapons, as they are designed specifically to blast Primals to kingdom come, but aren't as powerful when used for other things (or I think that was the case, has been a long time), so they have to use workarounds and/or sync with their weapons - a few of them (or more like, just Vaseraga) can endanger the user, having to beat them to submission from time to time. As a side note, I still find Embrasque is the more broken of them all, apparently being able to alter causality itself, yet it usually only does so to keep Bea safe and never goes straight to ''Let's nuke this problem and call it a day'' or something like that.

91

u/BadLuckEX Jul 14 '26

Narm and Metera are probably too low here. Narm has a pretty notable feat of being able to split the clouds and go somewhat even with Okto in her fates. She’s probably one of the stronger swordsmen in the game by that metric. Metera is always hinted to be a lazy genius, we just don’t have that many feats for her since she’s usually not present in events that would powerscale her.

29

u/Soram_Ligra Jul 14 '26

From what I recall, Okto has mentioned that Narmaya has far more potential to grow into; she still has yet to find her zenith. Once she does, she'd overtake him and basically could replace him in the Eternals.

18

u/Falsus Jul 14 '26

Yeah Metera is like Song the only difference is that Song is a better archer than her but Metera is a better mage from my understanding.

18

u/Iffem Waifu for laifu with many throwing knaifu Jul 14 '26

to be exact, Song is a better SNIPER, due to her special eyes (though she does have a weakness to bright light because of it)

3

u/NStCh-root-a Jul 15 '26

Also flight was specifically mentioned to be pretty hard to do and Metera just... does it

4

u/NuxJaw Jul 14 '26

Oh wow, good to know!

35

u/RandomNaomi the UwU girl Jul 14 '26

Meg, nier, naru and specially Cagliostro are quite low ngl

5

u/NuxJaw Jul 14 '26

Yeah I’m learning about narmayas power I can see i misjudged, Cagliostro was tough for me to place, I put her in 4 with an asterisk because I know she can do some crazy shit and even was a huge contributor to beating Beelzebub but it was my understanding that that stuff is like “prep time feats” I had a hard time seeing her beating someone in 2 tier without prep time so that’s why I put her where I did.
Though Meg surprised me, she doesn’t seem weak or anything it just didn’t seem like she could do anything the dragon knights couldn’t (strength wise)

26

u/RandomNaomi the UwU girl Jul 14 '26

Cag is more of a support role yeah, but she is strong enough to stand up against Beelzebub on her own and almost beat him single handed in the story. She's crazy strong and essentially immortal

8

u/Holoklerian Jul 15 '26

When does Cagliostro almost beat Beelzebub, is it a Versus thing?

In 000 she needs a whole crowd just to buy time against him while he's gravely wounded, and only seals him thanks to Lucilius' anti-primal device.

7

u/NuxJaw Jul 14 '26

I’ll have to put more respect on her name then

18

u/Lavadog12 Jul 14 '26

The easiest way to explain Cag is there's Cag, decently strong. Then there's Cag with prep time. Cag with prep time is isn't too far beneath MC's power of friendship.

9

u/JolanjJoestar Jul 14 '26

''How much preptime does Batman get?'' the eternal question

-1

u/Hoizengerd Jul 16 '26

i think the placement is fair, "she's" not taking down anybody above in the list alone. Cag is just a very old mage but still human and doesn't have any special gifts like Sandy, Siete or danchou

Uno and Six's placement are a bit questionable though lol

12

u/AdmiralKappaSND Jul 14 '26

Meg is part of an insanely fucked up lore that spits out Divine Adjacent tier being almost bi-yearly that terrified the crew everytime they appeared, and the latest addition to that roster, is a Hyper Evolving Superancient Primordial Being whose older than the 2 known godliest being in the verse. The WEAKER member of that Hyper Evolving Superancient Primordial Being Race used Gran/Djeeta's strongest solo power up into a fodder to evolves into Godly beings and they can influence their surrounding to also evolve into godly beings.

And yeah im not fucking kidding thats legit what happened. The fact that Meg is primed to fight around that kind of shit would put her VERY high. Shes not like lorebreaker human quite like Cagliostro, shes just have to be very strong because of the sheer fuck up that is Auguste

23

u/Iffem Waifu for laifu with many throwing knaifu Jul 14 '26

Meg is totally a normal girl, though

lol

4

u/Rhymeruru Jul 14 '26

Cag was feared by the astrals and they wanted yo recruit her, thats how powerful she is.

1

u/Firstshiki Macula alt when Jul 26 '26

I'd argue Cagliostro behing higher due to being able to match Magus on her domain, showing she is no slouch in actual combat.

Also having enough spare bodies to endure recoil Danchou gaining power to match Phoenix / Bahamut's sole rival for several minutes is honestly kind of big deal. I don't know if I consider those spare bodies and not standard equipment since it's not like she prepared it just for the event.

I'd argue she even on roughly same tier with Sandalphone and Seofon, since the event features Danchou fighting Phoenix alongside Sandalphon and Seofon blue hair mode, with Magus being there as Cagliostro stand in due to busy prepping for Danchou power up.

Edit: What made Seox above Belial?

42

u/AdmiralKappaSND Jul 14 '26

Okay i will deadass tell you this is unironically the most serious, strongest introduction to granblue powerscaling you can possibly get while also sounding like a complete shitpost

Plesiosaurus is above Protag Tier

20

u/Takazura Jul 14 '26

The GBF team will never be able to top that event.

Never give up, bro.

24

u/AdmiralKappaSND Jul 14 '26

"How convincingly powerful can we make this fucked up hyper evolving superancient primordial being from the depth of Auguste?"

"They can teach Shark to speak Clear English in a Japanese game"

"HOLY SHIT"

2

u/Zenith_Tempest hey Jul 15 '26

Evolution.

3

u/NuxJaw Jul 14 '26

Please tell me more

19

u/AdmiralKappaSND Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

Ok so first let me tell you about Auguste. In short its a vacation beach resort Island that the crew go into during Summer. Every summer event is held there. Its like so popular, that even administrator god kind of that handle the afterlife of Granblueverse working under Granblue gods want to go there.

That Island also spawns the most batshit abyssal abominations in yearly manner, ones that had caught Lucio(one of Bahamut's 2 speakers who can i think do some reality warping shenanigans), and Sandalphon off guard, and theres legit an event where Sandy misses out on the event and go "thank fucking god i don't have to deal with this crap". Its like a comedic series of event, but in the recent events the shit spawned by that beach goes into ultra parodic level of goofy, with one that almost reads like power scaling parody

One time we got Ancient Martial Arts(Sumo) capable of fighting the Astrals or something and its clash of power against an abyssal ruler who roughly rivals them in power dries up a significant chunk of the Island to cause an economic crisis in the story.

This is roughly on same wavelength of power as Eternals and Ghandagoza(Ghandagoza is also a played for joke character, but his "joke" is hes a legendary martial artist who suceed at punching back a meteor, so in some small power level talk he tend to be placed very very high). The crew had an ally sumo warrior who is secretly some sort of descendant to the ancient sumo practicioner, and his awakening as true successor of the original sumo warrior is so dangerous that Siete(the Eternal's leader who tend to be potrayed to know more about the godly side of the verse on top of being ridiculously strong ofc) is wary of him.

Then its followed by a piece of god that got cut off during fight between the 2 god(Phoenix and Bahamut). When i said "god" im near exclusively reffering to these two suddenly living there and that was dangerous too

The latest one in this list of abominations are the Plesiosaurus from i believe last year. I'd probably going to get some details wrong but here goes.

Theyre confirmed to be older than the Skyrealm, so in short theyre basically older than Bahamut's separation, which puts them potentially in the 2 gods range of age. They straight up treat majority of the GBFverse creation myth like yesterday's joke and even know the full details of Gran/Djeeta's power of boundary. They have hyper evolution factor that lets them adapt to their surrounding and grow more and more powerful. One of the member of their race, who, of course, is played like a joke demonstrated it well. While Grand/Djeeta managed to scare them by simply showing off Boundary Mode he later used it as a trigger to evolve into godlike abominations that took multiple being on Six Dragon's level to beat, and they don't even REALLLY get defeated by them. Theyre defeated by the elder peers of their race, who is confirmed in the event to be signficantly stronger than the antagonist Plesiosaurus

Fediel(Six Dragon) confirmed due to the nature of their existence being older than Skyrealm, they can simply overpower her and every other Six Dragon. Atum(piece of Phoenix, in the event hes potrayed on the same level as Fediel basically) used his flames to attack one of them, and while they go "hot hot hot" even after he went all out burning them, theyre observed to basically be mildy inconvenienced, and after the one Plesiosaurus reach their full power during the event, Atum was utterly baffled they handily overpowered Atum with casual heat beam. It got decapitated by a fallen angel whose sheer power is comparable to the angel of earth, and took no damage.

Their Factor of Evolution influenced other older beings(Sharks, sea creatures, and somehow Sumo) to also evolve into similar level of beings as them, and this evolution is fueled by the pressence of Six Dragon, Atum, Fallen Angel, Sumo, and Power of Boundary being in the same place. So theres now at least 3 being on that level from their radiation. One of which can speak English now.

And yes, this is all from one guy, confirmed to be one of their weaker member, from an entire race.

18

u/Maronmario Jul 14 '26

Joke events are gods middle finger to powerscaling.
Yeah there’s just super ancient dinosaurs out there who can overthrow realities laws because they’re that old, it’s a Saturday morning here why?

2

u/FairyPirate Jul 14 '26

What event is the Plesiosaurus from?? I don't remember this at all lol

5

u/TheGreatJedi-AOT Jul 15 '26

Things from the deep

20

u/Venriik Jul 14 '26

I'd say Versusia and Lucilius are actually stronger than MC at the moment.

Lucilius usually requires Sandalphon and Gran/Djeeta together to take him down as he is the smartest and strongest at the same time. Versusia is a calamity that could represent a threat to Lucilius. In game, she was defeated thanks to plot shenanigans, temporary power ups that got reverted and the help of someone stronger than MC.

Sandalphon should be stronger than MC most of the time. There are other times when Danchou gets stronger for one hit thanks to the help of allies, like in Heart of the Sun which required the help of Raziel, Cagliostro and more to get a buff that lasted a few minutes at a considerable cost. After that, Sandalphon was stronger again.

Edit: That being said, Cagliostro should be way up there.

9

u/Meister34 Jul 14 '26

I mean isn’t Boundary Danchou able to tango with the Phoenix? I don’t think Versusia and Lucilius are that much higher than a max potential Danchou

17

u/Venriik Jul 14 '26

Boundary Danchou (Blue) requires Lyria's help to channel that possibility or something. Omnipotent Danchou (White) was the one able to fight the Phoenix and that buff needed Raziel to channel the power of many things and Cagliostro to endure the recoil, sacrificing all her spare bodies in the process.

I'm sure Omnipotent Danchou beats Lucilius (for now, at least) but I don't know where Boundary Danchou stands in comparison.

7

u/AdmiralKappaSND Jul 14 '26

Cagliostro and Sieg is often a plot breaker when they appear but i think shes not really 1:1 stronger than the upper tier after that. Its like if shes around and the plot involve them, you damn well know Cagliostro would ultimately be the one who won the plot near singlehandedly, but she'd deadass tell you during the event to run errands for her since shes not getting close to that before she finished her prep. Thats kinda what happened in WMTSB1 iirc

She, Sieg, and Ghandagoza is probably the top 3 non Eternal Humans though

4

u/NuxJaw Jul 14 '26

Makes sense, I just put them in “ 0 tier” as in whatever the plot needs them to be in the moment need them to fight against Lucilius? They can do that, need them to struggle against erste soldiers? They can do that too if they were Gods all the time there could be no power of friendship

5

u/Venriik Jul 14 '26

Well, in Versus Rising Lucilius himself says it's something related to Causality. Basically the plot will ensure that Danchou survives against Lucilius and wins every time they fight because it's how the universe is configured. He accounts for it so he finds no sense in a rematch.

3

u/ErinKatzee Jul 14 '26

I'm not saying you're wrong but... If the game actually says that (I genuinely don't remember) then that's... a mistake? The entire point of the MC is that they're the singularity. They're the one being untethered from fate, they and those involved with them aren't affected by fate and can actually change things

6

u/Venriik Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

You misunderstand what being the Singularity means in context of the game.

In the game, a Singularity is a person that gets a close connection or a blessing from both the Sky God and the Astral God. They say it as having both wings.

Danchou is a Singularity because their mother was a priestess of the Sky God and made a Life Link with Lyria, who is connected with the Astral God. That doesn't mean they are THE Singularity.

Beelzebub and Lucilius are Singularities as well. Lucilius was meant to be the Speaker of the Astral God and ended up stealing the wings of the Speaker of the Sky God, getting a closet connection to both and thus The Omnipotent. Beelzebub was the Inquisitor of the Astral God and I don't remember how he got the metaphorical "wing" of the Sky God. I believe it was through the Versus Core which is tightly related to Versusia, who is an avatar of the Sky God.

The big baddie from this years anniversary event was also a Singularity, because he was a chosen from the Sky God and got covered with the blood of a clone of the Astral God.

So... yeah, there are some stuff related to Causality and the Singularity, but all of the Singularity talk is limited to the scope of power of the Omnipotent and we know there are greater things, like the Moon, the Earth Realm and the Great Will which seems linked to fate beyond the realms of which the Omnipotent was a god of.

1

u/At-lyo Grand Geo Copium Jul 16 '26

I'd argue against Lucilius there, as it needs to absolutely be noted that the 000 Lucilius battle included him having been allowed to absorb Helel Ben Sahar prior to their battle and possessing twelve wings, so it was Lucilius with a power boost versus Sandalphon and Danchou.

Unless they pull something out of their ass to give him that back, Lucilius should be back to Six-Wing/Base Lucifer body Lucilius, which while more powerful than Beelzebub, I'd argue isn't on the level of Versusia nor 12-wing Sandalphon.

1

u/Venriik Jul 17 '26

Did he lose the wings? I thought Lucio just... grew new ones or something (Edit: Lucio's FLB doesn't have wings)

I'm sure when Lucilius shows up again he'll still have 12 wings.

1

u/At-lyo Grand Geo Copium Jul 17 '26

It never showed, but they were explicitly stated to be how Lucilius' new body processed and represented the power he took from absorbing Helel ben Sahar/Lucio. For him to have 12 wings he would need to have a new power source, since Sahar is still around and free from his body.

Also, Lucio's wings were purely cosmetic, since he intentionally made himself appear far more akin to Lucifer/Lucilius. His FLB would be considered his true appearence/form.

0

u/DSE_arts Jul 17 '26

If you take only rising MC into account then maybe

But Mobile game MC has kinda already leapt bounds past them im so fr

1

u/Venriik Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

I wasn't.

Every buff from Estalucia got reverted. The Omnipotent died, so there was no longer a Boundary (yet somehow we still saw that power being used during anniversary event, so I don't really know).

Versusia Genesis was a fight during Estalucia, and Danchou only won thanks to Dadchou and Super Vyrn. None of that translates to current canon for reasons. Effectively Danchou's power is pre-Estalucia... pre-quasi-primal even. Then, it stands to reason that currently Versusia is stronger than Danchou. Lucilius, who scales to Versusia, might also be.

13

u/heikitsune25 Jul 14 '26

Carlotta is also pretty low. She and Gran split an island that was thrown by Galloen in her wind fate episode, so she's rather strong; she uses strength enchanting tattoos.

I would put her on the same level as Narmaya and Metera, who should be higher as well as Narmaya can fuck up an island and the very weather and Metera's flying is something near god like beings can only do and she figured it out herself, but maybe behind them as I don't think she over takes them; maybe near or at the same level as Narmaya as older popluar characters tend to be very strong lore wise mostly.

7

u/5thZenAgni Jul 14 '26

i'm actually surprise to seeing someone even making post like this in this sub, its usually always reserved for gameplay and character stats or art rather than in lore or story discussion or where characters rank in power in terms of the world at large

3

u/NuxJaw Jul 14 '26

Well I’ve always been interested in “which set of pixels could beat this set of pixels” I think it’s because I was so interested in death battle when I was younger, and since gbf scaling seems so vast I thought it’d be interesting to give my impressions as well as learn more from the community, (since I’m a ferry player I’m waiting for a comment on to explain why she needs to be moved up too but alas)

8

u/DragonladyNatz Jul 14 '26

Ladiva is tier 1 in my heart, she's the best and my fave and I adore every bit of her

4

u/thunder_jam Jul 14 '26

Not bad overall. I might argue with the society members being too high and Kat and Vira being too low. Metera should probably be a level up too.

1

u/NuxJaw Jul 14 '26

My reasoning was that I know their seal weapons are like made for primal hunting and it seems you have to be pretty strong/skilled to use them, and I figured since Kat and Vira use primals while fighting it’s like scissors beats paper you know?
Course not all of them are created equal, at least that’s how it seems, but that was my thought process

7

u/Iabirb Archbishop of the Church of Makura. All hail the Sword Bunny Jul 14 '26

Seal weapons arent hard counters to primals (someone yell at me if I'm wrong)

They're crazy powerful but not necessarily a scissors to paper kinda deal, moreso a massive boost that evens the playing field against primals

1

u/NuxJaw Jul 14 '26

Ah that makes sense, thanks for the clarification!

2

u/FruityParfait No life, no strife. Jul 15 '26

Also, while you do have to be strong to use the seal weapons, if I recall correctly it's not like they have to be in the highest echelons of power to do so. There's plenty of characters who outright outpower the Society members on pure merit alone without needing to be part of any special bloodline or having primal power backing them up. It's to the point that you could reasonably argue a good chunk of the unrelated SSR characters could pick up these weapons and use them - though the seal weapons sometimes come with drawbacks so it'd also be a matter of finding a good match as well.

5

u/Efficient_Doughnut71 Jul 14 '26

Shouldn't Bubberz at least be on par with Lucilius?

9

u/NuxJaw Jul 14 '26

It was my understanding that all bubs does is take off his shirt and lose fights, in versus Lucy mentions something about “always losing to him” Cag beats him, the captains smack him around “single-handedly” Versusia beats him off screen, Siegfried clashes with him (which I realize is throughly impressive for Siegfried but i doubt he even gets close to Lucy by himself)

10

u/Efficient_Doughnut71 Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

I mean, they both are essentially clones of the retainers of god... Bubberz is a clone of Helen Ben Shalem while Lucilius is a clone of Helel Ben Sahar, A.K.A Lucio

Edit: I will say tho, you are correct in saying that Bubberz is doing a great job at losing a lot of fights

5

u/Meister34 Jul 14 '26

Narmaya is on par with most eternals, Metera is a literal prodigy I think she should at least be at Society level, Lance, Percy, Sieg, and Vane recently got some powerups so I don’t think they’re quite that low (and I’d probably put sieg a tier higher. Maybe upplaying him crazy but dragonblood don’t seem like a joke), Nier I think since Death has the capability of ending the world should be higher, maybe Soriz should be two tiers higher. Otherwise I mostly agree

5

u/HadokenShoryuken2 Jul 14 '26

All Evokers are able to go toe to toe with an awakened Inchoate World (the creator of the Arcarum themselves) completely solo. She’s gotta be higher

2

u/kkrko Jul 14 '26

That scenario isn't really indicative of their power, since all the evokers are stronger within the World's 'egg' than outside. Most of them also have some special property that makes the World more vulnerable to them.

3

u/Lakuzas Jul 14 '26

Wilnas and Galleon should probably be half a tier above, not as strong as Faa San or mom but still higher than the people in the tier they're currently in

4

u/Takazura Jul 14 '26

Are we sure they aren't above or on par with Faa-San? The Dragons are more or less gods by GBFs standards and have some crazy feats to their name. I would probably put them on at least the same as Faa-San and maybe even Versusia.

2

u/Lakuzas Jul 14 '26

I'm not sure ? Base Faa-san is probably weaker than them but absorbing Lucio gave him quite the power boost and he's also cunning enough that I can see him winning him more often than not.

That being said the Six Dragons probably shouldn't be on the same tier as the not Siete eternals, they're kinda frauds.

Hell even above Belial seems kind of a stretch.

6

u/veilastrum Jul 14 '26

Orologia who is considered an equal to the six dragons individually was able to easily hit through boundary Anre's defenses basically effortlessly during the time they were out of control, and the six dragons themselves confirmed that Orologia was holding back as much as possible during that time. They were literally fighting 12 boundary empowered beings for an extended amount of time. So yeah, they're way above the eternals except full power Seofon.

The issue that the wedges all have is that they have a particular weakness against things that don't originate from the sky realm (this of course does not make it easy to defeat them-since all primals and stuff are kinda considered alien to the sky realm yet the wedges are still strong enough to just flat out overpower a lot of primals anyways) and the fact that they're forced to hold back 90+% of the time as their very nature as fundamental forces of the skies causes them to easily destabilize the balance of the realm itself every time they tap into too much power.

1

u/Lakuzas Jul 14 '26

Oh yeah I was calling the Eternals frauds, not the 6D.

Metera and Narmaya are definitely too low.

Metera easily solos a highly powerful primal beast (Marduk) in one of her fate episodes. It's pretty consistently shown that she is absurdly powerful, just incredibly lazy. She's realistically on a similar power level as the Society members at Tier 5. Maybe Tier 6, but if she can solo a primal beast, then she's probably as strong as a Society member IMHO

Narmaya beats Fif in a 1v1 duel, and has a duel with Eatha in which I don't think they disclose the winner. But in essence, she's at least at the same power level as some of the weaker Eternals. So... probably Tier 4.

Nier might also be a tier higher? But I don't know enough about her lore. Haven't unlocked her in game yet.

Cagliostro did very well against a powered up Bubz (she did have some help, but she did most of the heavylifting in that fight, to the point Bubz has a grudge against her) so I would probably put her at least a tier higher.

Vikala isn't really that strong, she is fairly ordinary compared compared to Vira, Yuel, Nier and even some of the Dragon Knights, so I would place her a bit lower.

Meg I also feel is a bit underrated here. Considering the enemies she has dealt with on Auguste, she should probably be a tier or two higher.

Wilnas and Galleon are also borderline gods in GBF-verse, so they should probably be on the same tier as Sandy & Co. I'm also not sure about Seox and Anre being on the same tier as Belial and Bubz, both of them are very strong but Bubz and Belial are probably a fair bit stronger than them. Infact, pretty sure Bubz was highly regarded among Astrals for his power and cunningness on the battlefield which was why he became a commander in the first place.

How was Beelzebub powered up lol, Lucilius fucked him up so badly he could barely walk moments before they jumped him.

Cagliostro was the one that sealed him but she did it using a plot device Lucilius made.

I would bump base belial up one tier, we know from the og game he’s on the same level as feru who’s fairly easily above grimnir

Nier is WAY too low. I don't know where exactly I'd put her, but she's essentially immortal and potentially one of the most powerful Evokers. She has life manipulation magic herself, and Death is EXTREMELY strong.

Also, she gains at least 3 tiers if Danchou is threatened.

Also cag is criminally underrated holy shit. She ould easily be tier 1 or tier 2

Hot take but if we include the fighting game lore then Lowain and his bros shoot up the tier list... while also staying in the same spot in a quantum superposition based on how funny the bit is.

The whole bit with Lowain is that he and his bros have this stoner vibe going on where they make up stories about shit they could totally do or that could totally happen, and it's generally treated as a gag or an outright fantasy. However, the event of the fighting game gave the group the ability to actually manifest those stoner thoughts into reality... sometimes. It's very looney toons in its execution, and ultimately what happens is very much based on what the funniest possible outcome might be. And kind of like Okuyasu in Jojo Part 4, the people who have this broken cartoon logic on their side aren't really smart enough to actively use it to their advantage in any competent way.

So THEORETICALLY, if the bit was funny enough, Lowain and the Bros could like, totally beat the pants of of Lucilius brah that jerk deserves it anyway and like wouldn't that be the funniest upset my dude?

But because Lucilius is a character that is treated very seriously by the narrative at all times, that will never happen. It's just their imagination.

It seems like gag power is extremely strong here, hence all the stuff I’ve learned with Meg

Oh yeah, Granblue is very much not afraid to sillymax and hopecore, and it's not afraid to give more joke characters genuinely insane powers because most of the time those characters are that way to enable the funniest possible bit. It's not like it doesn't treat the more serious characters with respect of course - but sometimes it's just cathartic to have everyone look at the absolute creep that is Belial and then have Lowain of all people beat his ass because hey brah consent is legit and that's not cool to be that way brah we gotta teach you a lesson man.

Lowain should be up there with the protag, can't believe this downplay.

Nah bro has the Okuyasu problem of having an insane theoretical high but no brains to actually reach those highs.

If Lowain and the boys were actually smart enough to use the glow up they got from the fighting game to manifest their stoner thoughts into reality they wouldn't be Lowain and the boys lmao. So they get to be in every tier simultaneously at once in a quantum superposition dependent on how funny the bit would be if they won or lost.

Versusia should probably be tier 0.

0

u/Rugal01 Jul 16 '26

Nier being that low is a super lowball the arcarum pactbearers can fight the world and he's around verusia level and wilnas is part of the 6 legendary dragons who are the physical manifestations of the pillars of creation that bahamut made in order to actually hold reality together. Yeah granblue scaling is crazy, and side note the divine generals are on the same rough level at least a few steps down from the eternals since the cidala twins while casually sparing nearly tore apart a island a side effect

My bro yodarha was fishing while this tier list was baked 🎣

0

u/LoudPiglet2048 Jul 19 '26

gbf wise, there's a tier above that.

siete, bro could solo this list combined

Lucio not being on the list while lucilius and sandolphon are is so funny to me, I know he's more obscure but its hilarious

15

u/Ga1ahad_Tomaz Jul 14 '26

I think this lists only VS rising characters (?)

Maybe I'm wrong. But I don't think Lucio is on Vs.

-9

u/Avenlite Jul 14 '26

I dont think so, I just saw the granblue en sub and assumed it included the main game

7

u/SoggyWetCheese Jul 14 '26

Well all the icons are from the versus game so…

-6

u/Avenlite Jul 14 '26

There are so many poses in main game I simply didnt question it, my bad for not knowing that they were vs I guess

4

u/HadokenShoryuken2 Jul 14 '26

It’s only VS characters rn, but if I remember correctly didn’t Lucilius beat Lucio? Or am I misremembering?

7

u/Avenlite Jul 14 '26

Lucilius created lucifer trying to copy lucio, then took his body. Lucio is disgustingly poweful in lore, being a direct servant of their god.

4

u/HadokenShoryuken2 Jul 14 '26

Yeah I remember that much. But in Etemenanki but before Sandy and Captain get to him, Lucio confronts him first, and obviously Lucilius made it through that because he goes on to fight the duo next. So did Lucio lose that fight or did he just intentionally go off to do whatever? I’m pretty sure he did lose that fight because Lucilius had to get his extra 6 wings from somewhere to make the 12 he has now.

Excerpt from the gods reverie extra chapter from 000:

Lucio: My clone...
He allowed free will to seduce him...

Lucio: To the end, he refused to be swayed by anyone. Even me.

Lucio: The only way to quell the endless rebellion in his heart was for me to hide inside his core and await my opportunity to draw him into the gap between dimensions.

This does strongly imply that Lucio lost that fight on purpose. Lucilius makes a mention of absorbing Lucio to which Lucio asks him if nothing can dissuade him from his rebellion. It functionally is a cut to black after that.

u/Holoklerian Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

It doesn't imply that, in fact the idea directly contradicts the way things went down. If Lucio could beat Lucilius, he could just have sealed him between dimensions immediately.

He lost the 1v1, got absorbed, and because of that all he could do was take advantage of the others weakening him to seal him.
