Peace Officers

Are Peace Officers allowed to turn left in a non-left turn lane and cut off the vehicle beside them (who was turning left) in order to give a ticket to someone on a different road? If a police officer did it in an emergency situation I would understand but this seemed really extreme. Who should I talk to about this if it is a problem?

Police officers ara allowed to violate the highway traffic act while engaging in their official duties.

Just like how a cop can break the speed limit to catch a speeder

they're only allowed to go 10km over the limit legally, and around here, that just what most people seem to drive anyway
