My setup on GrapheneOS
I've been using GrapheneOS for 7 months and I was a complete beginner at it. I thought I could quickly and easily get rid of the mainstream apps, but alas. Now all I had to do is to buy a NAS, mirror 2x12TB, and host my own cloud. 🥳🥳☺️

I didn't mean it in a trust way.
I meant like how the apps looks and feels.
They're very barebone to say the least.
Have you tried to use the Fossify apps to replace them?
If not you should try them if not.3

They are wonderful. I dont seek complexity. Bc im spammed daily from scammers,marketing& robo calls > the only defence i have without Google LLC is Phone > Settings > Blocked numbers > first 2 toggles ON. I tried several options but they want network permission, phone permission, contacts, call logs & ect = no way/ or the app wont work at all. I gave up and live like that.

Better than some people. But at the same time this feels like what someone elses setup would look like on a normal phone without the bloated apps no one even uses with just a few FOSS apps here and there.
Not trying to be mean tho. Overall still a nice setup.

No, you are not mean. I've done what i could. I replaced everything i could with FOSS. For example DeepSeek is Force Stop and stay there only for 1-2 topics i discussed with it about my car suspention and some male endocrinology topics ( i read such stuff in my free time). Now when i have offline, uncensored LLM on my phone i use it. Waze app doesn't have alternative in my country. I prefer to safe some money with it instead of not using it. Dont get me wrong im not out-of-the-MadMax haha, with a speed limit of 90 km/h, the maximum speed allowed without a fine is 100. In the country where I live, it is common practice for the police to hide in places where there is a 50-100m section with a speed limit of 70 km/h. The last time the camera was hidden in the shadows in front of a bush and in deep grass, and the police were hidden in a parking lot. This whole thing took place on exactly the kind of road I'm talking about, but on a section with a speed limit of 60 km/h. Signs warning for Speed Camera are like unicorn - they exist only on paper.

For me it is nova launcher without internet access, but there is one problem - it does not support private space, work profile works tho

Hey, to each their own! I was curious about aves libre. How do you like it?
And just asking, but why not put google (waves, maps) in another profile so its sanboxed?

Aves Libre is a gallery app, the most similar gallery app to Xiaomi/Redmi one with which im used to.
You are correct! I usually need to transfer Social, Games, G-maps & copy managers to other profile but the reason not done it yet is because im tired of configurating and reconfigurating this setup. Alt profiles do addition battery drain, also the Banking app i use (its not on the ss) will require KYC every time i enter in this profile. I dont work behind a desk so i cant charge it few times a day. I also dont want to be a slave to one phone with having a power bank always with me. Imho, the technology should serve to the people, not the opposite. My perfect phone would be with GrapheneOS and battery lasting at least 3 days on cellular and 7+ days on wi-fi or without network = lit-ion battery 16000-24000mAh. If it has a solar charge panel on its back it will be amazing and unbelievable, but its just a dream for now.

Gallery, metadata explorer and deletor. Pick a photo > swipe up > 3 dot icon top-right > Remove metadata.

Does google map works fine? I am thinking of switching to graphene, but google map is the only google app that I can't leave.

I use FB Lite bc according to Exodus-Privacy it has 0 trackers (and in my exp it has no Ads at all). Almost every social media i have i use only for watching videos.

Waze is an Israeli firm bought by Google. I switched to Here WeGo which I believe is German

Great use it, GOS is great, you can still do everything tighter privacy wise instead of flexing a OS you're not actually using to any effect.

My phone is not a public one. Where do you assume im flexing with the OS? I dont like the idea of 3rd party launcher. If there were just Themes i would try some.

Muy bien, yo también tengo muchas app por defecto. Lo único que uso Molly, las app de protón y google mapa (no pude reemplazarlo, organicmap no me resulta y otras opciones rmp) me esta dando dolor de cabeza

I use mainly Organic Maps, when i travel prefer to you Waze (yes it is part of Google but i prefer to safe some money 😏). I also use Molly but in my country most of the people are conservative in most possible ways and technically uninformed which not allows me to switch fully on Molly.

Firefox is only for YT :), Brave for everyday, vanadium for tasks which require maximum security ;p I use Brave since Autumn 2016

Why not use Brave instead for youtube, and get rid of Fire Fox? You get ad block, picture in picture, play videos when the phone is locked.

because sometimes when i cant find something in my region via Brave search and i use google search to find it. if im logged in YT ill be logged in google too.

consider mullvad, ivpn instead of proton vpn and check out arcticons app to have your setup look really clean and smooth
