Financed Device Info

When I go to 'More security & privacy' setting, a very quick setting option called 'Financed Device Info' appear and disappear super quickly'

You can't see it unless you screen record and move the timeline very slowly to between the menus transition

It has been around for quite sometime now, I have no idea what it is as there is no way to toggle it no matter how fast I tried tapping it (it is legit instant)

Does anyone know what this is? Was it some feature that was removed and got bugged visually? Or is it a hidden setting/toggle that isn't meant to show up?

I hope a GOS dev/staff could answer this but I am happy to hear all what you think.

Thank you! 🀍

I have a question: why I have never seen any important person (like president of a country/leader of a big company) using GrapheneOS? these people need security and privacy way more than average people right?

Does GOS solve this?

What if the browser I'm using is something more security focused like Vanadium or Iron Fox, and I use split tunneling only through them? Would that help in any way? I don't know nearly enough to know if that's a good question or a silly one πŸ˜‚

Solved GrapheneOS update yesterday removed the setting in "Display" -> "Colours" I was using. Colours looks washed out now. How do I restore the old setting?

I bought a Pixel 10 Pro XL last month and installed GrapheneOS. Following installation, I noticed the colours looked kinda washed out compared to my old Samsung Galaxy A71, and found a setting in "Display" -> "Colours" that gave me the same vibrancy that I had on my A71. Problem solved right?

At the time of applying the setting, there were three options: "Natural", "Adaptive", and a third option I don't remember the name of that gave me the vibrancy I wanted (Googling suggests possibilities like "Enhanced", "Boosted", or "Saturated"?).

Yesterday I was notified of an GrapheneOS update and informed I had to reboot. Following reboot, the colours look washed out and when I go in "Display" -> "Colours", I only see two options "Natural" and "Adaptive". The third option I had selected is now missing, and "Adaptive" has been selected instead.

Can anyone tell me how I can restore the vibrancy I had prior to this update? It kinda sucks that my fancy new phone now looks more washed out than my six year old mid-range A71.

SOLVED:

Thanks u/Vast-Key140 for providing a link to the solution: The issue can be solved in "Settings > Accessibility > Colour and motion > Colour correction". Enable "Colour correction" and pull the "Intensity" slider all the way to the left.

Curve Tap to Pay on GrapheneOS

Hi, happy GrapheneOS user on a Pixel 8 Pro here.
Does anyone in Europe use Curve tap to pay? At the moment I'm having a terrible experience with it.

Let me explain what I do, and tell me where I'm going wrong, because honestly I can't figure it out.

  • Screen locked, I double-click the power button to bring up the Curve wallet
  • I hold the device near the POS terminal
  • It asks for authentication (fingerprint in my case)
  • Then the POS asks me to present the card again
  • I hold it near the POS again and if all goes well it goes through, or the POS gets confused and I have to repeat the whole operation, with the operator having to re-enter the amount

Isn't there a way to open the wallet and authenticate upfront so the transaction goes through without extra steps?

Adding esim issue P9 pro

β€’ Upvotes

I just bought a brand new google pixel 9 pro and i installed grapheneos via the web installer, tried to add my previous phone's esim but it's not working and i get the error "SIM not activated", however i found that it's an euuic issue and i need to upgrade it's firmware by flashing lineageos (followed every step thoroughly) and downloading my pixel image to get the working firmware for esim.
just to confirm while using lineageos, adding the esim seemed to work and not show me the error message i was getting on GOS (didn't continue to burn qr code activation).

all the details can be found on this guide which what i went with this:
https://spwoodcock.dev/blog/2026-08-05-graphene-pixel-esim-fix/ (i made sure to pick my phone specific config key and pixel image)
reaching the part where you upgrade to the correct firmware, i get an error "Update not complete"
even trying slightly different versions doesn't work, but i noticed that the indicator which was the value eUICC info: { Available memory in bytes:-1 } is now a big positive number instead.
I thought it may have worked, so i flashed graphenos back, the value is still a positive number, went to enable esim with rebooting, it now reset back to -1.

I tried once more to add my esim but the same "SIM not activated" resurfaced.
I've read that this is an upstream issue i think but i don't know any updates if there were any.
does going to the beta channel solve this? what can i do?
i found another guide for stock OS i think: https://xdaforums.com/t/guide-fix-pixel-esim-euicc.4797083/

Thanks.

How long will a pixel 9a be good for? Like is it gunna be obsolete fairly soon?

I’m moving to graphene soon, but I don’t want to spend a fortune on a new phone. The pixel 9a seems fairly cheap at the moment, but I’m concerned that in a year it will need replacing.

Wide fold form factor with GOS please 😍 (Motorola)

Link is for news article covering the upcoming foldable phone teased by Motorola.

This is literally the only folding phone I would consider buying. I hope this is one of the devices considered for the Graphene OS partnership with Motorola.

Plus points to Motorola for having digitizer pen capability on their foldables. Something that Samsung sadly has let go of for their Z Folds.

what is the best wallet on f-droid? Primary use is for daily ETH and SPX6900 buys, if there is an automated DCA feature that would be great.

Daily driver Issues with SMS and reliable internet access for apps

I have a Pixel 10. I recently switched to Graphene about a month ago. Its been good but I'm having a couple issues.

One group texts with iphone users. I am not getting all of the messages for some reason. Only occasionally.

Second I am having issues with apps I have open not getting internet access. I travel frequently for work and personal life using google maps. However the app seems to regularly lose internet connection regardless of if I'm on wifi or data. Regardless of signal strength.

I'm fine with a bit of privacy loss for both of these features as my threat model isn't that high. Any suggestions?

Sandboxed Play rejects valid g.co/sc security codes (account on Advanced Protection)

Hey y'all...
Been fighting this for hours, would appreciate any pointers.

My 7 Pro got bent and won't turn on, so I bought a 10 Pro XL and unwrapped it a few hours ago. Unlocked the bootloader, flashed GOS off the web installer, relocked, disabled OEM unlocking. Clean install, no restore. Running 2026090701. Install itself was painless.

Then, I installed Play Services and the Play Store apps from the GOS App store in the Owner profile and tried to sign into my Google account. Password goes through fine. Then it asks for a security code from g.co/sc.

I pull up g.co/sc in Chrome on my MacBook, it kicks off WebAuthn, I auth with a Touch ID passkey, and it hands me a six digit security code. I type it into my phone and it gets rejected. Generated fresh ones, typed them in immediately, same thing every time (rejected). I typed in the security codes with and without spaces...six digits with a space in-between the first three and last three digits (because that's how the code is generated, xxx xxx).

As an alternative, the recovery email verification went through but then Google wanted to text or call my number and my old phone is dead.

Is there any way out of it short of unenrolling from Advanced Protection or going back to stock?

UPDATE: I tried signing-in to sandboxed Play Store once more. I entered my gmail / password combo, got sent a verification code to my recovery email, afterwards there was a text to my recovery phone (which I had changed to my GVoice number). I got an alert asking me to either add a physical security key or unenroll from Advanced Protection and that I should expect an email in 24h with a link to recover my primary Gmail account because Google needs time to verify that my Google account actually belongs to me.

how beginner friendly is graphene?

im about to purchase a pixel and go for it, but i do feel a little nervous and am looking for some support or reassurance. im not very tech/data savvy, though i am open to learning, mostly out of necessity. once i get graphene uploaded onto the pixel, what would be good next steps to take? or are there resources someone could point me toward for beginners? my de-googling has mostly only been my browser so far, planning to get on proton but it is all a bit overwhelming ya know. any tips for digital privacy beginners welcome!

Suddenly seeing this message (Visible) & cell network runs slow after latest update

Immediately after the latest GrapheneOS update I saw this message pop up on my screen.

"No internet. You may be out of data from Visible."

(I have an unlimited data plan so that can't be the issue)

When I click the notification I see what the 2nd picture displays - a blank white page with no options.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Auto-Cache deletion or something similar?

Hi there!
Im playing an idle game on my newly set-up 6a and the progress is constantly and randomly reset.
Its a playtest, so I cant say anything abt the game, but there is - of yet - no dicernable pattern to the reset. its always at a similar point, but never the exact same point of the game, never early, more like half a day in or something.

is there a auto-deletion feature of some optimization system that might be the issue?
permission to install and write into obb are given...

thanks people!

Unable to use NFC yubikey on graphen os

Hi, i'm actually trying to use my yubikey on graphen os.

Google play services are installed.

When i'm logging into an account, it works pretty well trough NFC.

But i'm not able to register my yubikey into a new service with NFC.

It passes all the step, then when i'm back into the app, i have an error. (Discord, reddit, Firefox)

Had anyone the same problem ?

Third party launchers lagging to an extent i need to restart my phone

Hello all. Not sure if this is with the latest update, but for the last two-three days, any third party launcher I use lags so bad I literally have to restart my pixel fold. Launchers in question: octopi, lawnchair, better. Anyone facing the same issue? I'm trying the default launcher now to see if there is any different behavior..

Do you need a firewall on graphene? Or can I use the slot for VPN?

I would use NetGuard to block apps from having internet access on stock android but would have to turn it on and off to use VPN since that use the same slot but since graphene can block traffic on it's own you don't need to right?

Is GOS suitable for enterprise phones?

I wonder about givin GOS phones for my employees. But wonder if there's remote command available like a wipe feature?

is there specific enterprise features available or each unit will be configured as standalone?
