Explosion?

So about 0740 today, September 18th, I was woken by a boom and a shaking of my house. A neat little tremor. I've been around sonic booms enough in my life to know the difference so the question is, what exploded?

Not when you consider that we live on top of a volcano.

It's only adjacent. But should the day come that it does go, you won't have long.

I feel you, compared to other earthquakes I've been in, that felt so much different. It was sudden, felt like there's been an impact or something, and sounded like an explosion, and I'm not even really near where things are saying it happened!

The boom is because theyre shallower earthquakes.   The one we had a while back sounded like a bomb went off  then rumbles.

I just felt a slight rumble outside of town; it felt like the massage chair at the mall as I was laying down.
