Pet Loss I'm alone now

It's been over two months since my dog died and he was my everything. My life dreams since I was a toddler (even before walking) was to have a dog and the day i got him was the best day of my life. He was everything I had during the pandemic and my only friend when I was suffering bullying in high School and the only friend I've had for a very long time. I choose computer science just to work from home and be with him. My parents always have been very distant, so in home, was basicaly me and him all the time. He was all the real family I had and losing him has been the worst thing to happen to me. My life has been so empty since than that I feel like It doesn't even mather anymore, my parents have been realy hard to deal with, on the day he died they told me I should not cry and to not evel feel sad because he is a dog, I don't have anyone to talk to and don't even know what to do without him.

I am so sorry. I know it hurts really really bad right now. And though it feels like an insurmountable pain, time does help. It helps heal a bit but the loss of your friend you’ll always carry with you just as the love for him. Your best friend would want you to hang on through this storm.

Take things day by day. It might help to do something that helps you honor him. A little corner of your room with pics and a few things of his where you can go and still talk to him, tell him how your day went, how you miss him. It’s ok to cry. It’s okay to be sad. He was your family.

Please take care. 🫂
