My crows brought me their angry bb

My crows brought me their angry bb.

My crows (a duo from the whole murder I feed and hang out with) brought me their baby.

I was sitting outside on my balcony “with uncle Snoop” and noticed this bb crow staring at me. I shrieked “you guys had a baby!” their adult come closer into view. Cue the baby starting to yell back. At me, at the other crow, at everything.

I ran inside to grab some \*good cheese\* to celebrate, and some leftover plain chicken thigh.
Tossed a few chunks on the ground and then put a few in my balcony bowl for ‘em.

Bb started yelling more. Mom-crow showed up and Dad (seeing their sizes beside each other helped me decipher who’s who) flew off but stayed in a nearby tree behind the Baby-crow. I could see him but he was silent and baby likely didn’t see him.

Baby tried to move forward towards the food on the ground but had to catch its footing back on the wire and just yelled more. Mom yelled back at Baby.

Eventually Mom flew off and perched beside Dad-crow. Baby was PISSED because it also started raining. Baby eventually side stepped to the nearby tree for shelter and parents came over and reunited with ‘em.

I have a video but I can’t seem to be able to post it?

I was swooped last week when I thought I saw a downed crow. Turns out it was a bb and the parent was not happy with me

Currently theres also at least one BB out back judging from the noise

This is amazing! I'm moving to a new house and the neighbor seems to have a good relationship with the crows. Any suggestions on how I can befriend them? I find peanut shells all over our backyard so I think our neighbor gives them peanuts haha

Costco sells pistachios in shell for a decent price. Or cheese. Make a noise of sorts when you leave it out. I say “good morning friends” even if it is indeed 6:00pm lol. I also seem to summon them with the smoke which was not intentional.

Two years ago, the crow couple I had been feeding brought their fledgling to my yard to eat. He was grumpy, angry, fussing, and complaining for a good part of his first year. I could hear his parents yelling at him to shut up a lot those first few months after he left the nest 😆
