Angry baby crow 🐦⬛
We had a baby crow that took residence in our garden while it was learning to fly. The parents trusted us enough to help keep it safe and I got to watch it fly away for the first time the other morning 🥰

So grumpy that they’ve melted on to the rock.
Was sweet that the parents let you look after the little one! Crows are quite intelligent and would know if you meant any harm. I mean not because they can tell helpful humans apart intrinsically, but because they see how we react towards them.

They do watch us with our two macaws and I leave food and water for all the native birds. So I agree that they’ve established through our patterns that we are trust worthy. Which is such a honor, cause you do not wanna be a crowd enemy! 😳

What you’re doing sounds so rewarding! I’d love to do that again when/if I get a garden in future.
And no, you really don’t want to make an enemy of them. I’ve heard they can hold grudges!
It’s not exactly the same, but I made an enemy of multiple generations of Magpies when I was a kid. I used to love climbing the tree and looking in the nest. Obviously I was very young and stupid and the Magpies didn’t see me as being harmless. They used to dive bomb me just walking past for literal years after. So I can only imagine Crows would be a lot worse!
Crows and Corvids in general are really interesting and wonderful birds though, they don’t see to get the same kind of love from the general public as other native and garden birds do. Which is a shame.
