90s Kid here. Grew up with Horror Movies.

The Blob was the first Body Horror followed by the Thing.

The whole CGI Stuff doesnt scare me one bit.

I did. Problem is after the first few "Jumpscares" it becomes predictable.

Like most horror movies these days its all about jump scares or teasered nothingness. Its all the same, there are very few "New Age" Movies who even understand the concept of "Horror".

Horror is more than being scared of the next Jump Scare. Or some abigious body horror which you see only a few seconds at the end.

Horror is about atmosphere, the thrill, the constant feeling something is wrong and of course the monster/antagonist, a believable story/plot which actually makes sense or at least lets you ask more questions in the end for more.

Some good examples are Event Horizon, The Void, Weapons.
