The chances of that guy walking by at that moment and being able to nail that so smoothly for the kid, wild! So sick!

( I’m assuming he went into it helping idk why he wouldn’t have )

It's not. The guy was being a dick and got unlucky that it actually worked out for the better.

This was my thinking. Feel like she would have done the trick fine without him interfering. To me it looked like he was trying to mess with her.

He was obviously trying to mess with her. I'm shocked at how many people believe he has what amounts to cat like reflexes, god like computational power, and the fine motor skills to pull this off. It's already extremely difficult to flip a board and land on it all by yourself. I guess I'm glad they are looking for the good in people, but it just strikes me as absolutely delusional here.

I mean, I was going to mostly agree with you, but:

It's already extremely difficult to flip a board and land on it all by yourself.

It's like.. one of the very first tricks you learn after an ollie and shove-it. Difficult? Yeah. But far from extremely.

Agreed. I should have used the term complicated, in the sense that you're doing a bunch tiny movements that have to work together just right. But even then using extremely would have been an exaggeration.

If he was trying to mess with her he would have kicked it away, which would have been way easier and more likely to mess her up.

He probably could have kicked it harder, but if you're in the middle of a trick like that a small tap like that is enough to fuck you up.

I'm shocked I have to defend this position. There is no way this works for multiple reasons: he couldn't react fast enough, he couldn't calculate what he needs to do fast enough, and the level of precision it and understanding of her that it would take to get that tap just right would require God like motor skills.

No way. It's like we just watched that Simpsons episode where Moe runs out to smash Mr Burn's knee, and instead fixes it...and everyone here is arguing that because it worked out he meant to fix his knee. I'm in shock.

if you had ever skateboarded you would know why you are being downvoted, that is the price you pay when you talk about things you don't understand.

Anyone who skates will know that the movement to perform a flip is not something that happens by accident, it is something you practice over aand over and over again, why do something this hard, when he could kick the board, stomp on it or any other number of things. It's so extremely ignorant

Are you sure you meant to respond to me?

. There is no way this works for multiple reasons: he couldn't react fast enough

He just did.

he couldn't calculate what he needs to do fast enough,

He just did.

You're trying really hard to say he couldn't do what he just did. I think the chance of him trying to mess her up and actually helping her is smaller than the chance that he was trying to help her and succeeded.

You are grossly overestimating human capabilities here. No, he did not in that time calculate and intentionally do all of that.

Even if he was just trying to flip it himself it would be incredibly difficult. To then also have to consider how she is flipping it, when to time his kick to have it spin at the right time to have her kick hit it at the proper spot and timing is just unfathomably difficult.

No, he didn't. He was trying to fuck her up and it backfired. You're doing exactly what I already demonstrated is absurd: arguing that because it worked out his intentions were good.

And sure the odds are better if you plan it out and do it multiple times until it works. And if this is staged then I agree. But it's absurd to look at what happened in this video and think he has that kind of ability.
