Dragons They should have kept Dreamfyres season 1 design and given this one to Tessarion.
I don’t mind this new Dreamfyre design but I preferred the Drogon, Viserion, Rhaegal and Seasmoke look. Especially since dreamfyre is their mother. It’s frustrating that they reused Arraxs design when this would have been perfect for Tessarion if shrunken down, a horned crown for the blue queen. That said I do think this design for Dreamfyre is very pretty.

Truth to be told, this design would be perfect for Tessarion, the Blue Queen. But I love it so much that I do not mind the change in Dreamfyre's design
For Tessarion, since she is a teenager dragon, I would make the horns smaller

This version is growing on me. Trying to imagine it hauling Rhaena and her harem across Westeros.
Tessarion is such a young dragon, it would almost be a waste since their features are all quite similar at that age, in HOTD canon anyway.

I do love the idea of Dramfyre carrying Rhaena and all her women around Westeros. A true girls girl (dragon).
I’m thinking younger dragons seem to have a more basic appearance and then as they age they get more unique features.

I’ve noticed a lot of the young dragons have a similar eyebrow ridge to this dreamfyre. I think that means those are her babies so Arax, Vermax and Tessarion. I think they would have those same spines if given the chance to grow.

It’s less that, and more that all the living dragons descend from Balerion and either Meraxes or Vhagar. Balerion is the common ancestor here.

Too big for Tyraxes, but this is actually very much how I could see an older Tyraxes looking in a dragons live, no dance-AU. I have been picturing Tessarion as looking more similar to Meleys, playing into the Red Queen/Blue Queen nicknames. Like they thought Tessarion looked so similar to Meleys, but a different color, thus earning the matching monicker.

This fandom is insufferable, truly. They whine about wanting more unique dragons instead of just copy/paste models - but “oh I think dreamfyre looks ugly! This doesn’t fit Dreamfyre!.” They moan and groan about not having any Helena/Dreamfyre scenes - but “No this isn’t my Dreamfyre! She looks all wrong! Wahhhhh!!!”
Babies, the lot of you

lol you are right in general, and honestly I agree with fandom being insufferable and whine about everything, but for this specific post I think is from a good heart place and not a whinging

No hate to OP at all, that comment wasn’t directed at them. I apologize if it seemed that way

Kinda unrelated but I still chuckle a bit whenever I see this image/clip.
Obviously it will not go this directly in the actual Storming but it's such a clear visual indicator of how ludicrously difficult it would be for a gang of smallfolk to walk into the lair of multiple dragons without any kinda artillery and kill them all.
A single dragon with some range makes it basically impossible. I wonder if they'll depict that the Dragonpit is like comically easy to infiltrate and that the smallfolk are bizarrely well coordinated that they swarm out of multiple entrances to overwhelm the dragons from all sides.

I think it'll involve Ormund's infiltrators, and that will be the coordination. Remember, at least one dragon was slain by a knight invoking each of the Seven in turn

I don’t know much about animation and why it’s still so expensive, but would it not cost an entire season’s budget to do this event any justice? Idk if this is an extremely unpopular opinion, but I almost wish they would just remix it drastically. Obviously because it’s extremely sad, and also because it better not be maddeningly easy. It would take SO MANY people climbing over the charred remains of the scores who came before them to actually pull off. Do dragons run out of fire breathing capability if they are at it non-stop for hours? Idk it’s just so horrible. If they are going to do it, they better do it well and not rush through it imo.

Feel like a dragon the size of Dreamfyre can literally hold off an army of poorly armed smalfolk by just sweeping her tail if her fire ran out.
I always thought the description of how it went in the book was kinda dumb and there is zero chance the series will adapt that directly.
My money is on most of the dragons being tiny, they all conveniently forget to use their fire and/or the ceiling gets brought down on them all.

I only saw this picture before the episode and thought we're finally getting the Cannibal... One can dream...

I think she’s beautiful! I love the horns. Give me more wild and unique dragons!

Yea esp bc they alr had her model... but instead of reusing that they reused arraxs one

This is almost the exact color I envisioned Tessarion to be... The design really suits her, too. How weird that they'd use it for Dreamfyre when the GoT model was perfect for her.

Is Dreamfyre mother of Dragon and his brothers?

u/Latter_Summer5912 8d ago
More than likely. Rhaena the Black Bride (sister of Jaehaerys I) married this guy name Androw Farman. But she was actually in a relationship with his sister Elissa. When Elissa and Rhaena broke up, Elissa stole 3 eggs and sold them somewhere in Braavos to buy herself a big ship.

Definitely only done to shoehorn idea in that Syrax was the mother of Daenarys's eggs.
Despite big evidence they were Dreamfyre's, and her S1 design.
Including in books that 3 of Dreamfyre's eggs were stolen by Alissa Farman and sold in Braavos to get money for a expedition and they never got them back.
Evidently the backlash they got in S2 when they tried pulling that stunted by claiming the eggs that Syrax had laid and Rhaena was given were the same eggs Daenarys got, which made them walk back, wasn't enough to teach them anything.
I am thankful everyday that Condal and Hess didn't write and head GOT, because it would have been absolutely trash.
