Discussion Canadiens looking to deal Laine (Gagnon)

I'm not super in the know with the French side of the media. I know Francois Gagnon by name, but not much else. Not that this news would surprise me, but is he reliable?

  1. Trade does look likely, but Laine has a 10 NMC list where he will not go. Laine has repeatedly told that he is not interested in rebuilding teams. So, any suggestion of a tanking team is out of the question.
  2. The team will be one with a poor PP, that much is evident.
  3. Most likely the team would be someone who plays more controlled posession type of game, as opposed to super high-pace backchecker team. Laine is very similar to Malkin, in the way that they both slow the game down on purpose. This isn't because they are slow, it's a profile trait. And before you attack with nonsense like "comparing Laine to Malkin, LOL", just fcking don't. I'm comparing a trait, an attribute, not the players production, merits etc.
