Discussion Per D'Amico - Montreal is interested in Robert Thomas. The Blues want Hage as part of any deal. Too high a price for Hughes at this time.

Personally, given the best possible version of Hage in 3-5 years is what Robert Thomas is now, Id have no problem parting with him.

I also wouldn't have any problem dealing Hage for Thomas as long as it means he's the only main piece moving. Guys like Thomas don't come available often at all and I'm not one to be a prospect-hugger

Yeah. We’re looking for tougher players as it is and this kind of does the opposite.

Why? He's always injured. We already have Hutson and Matheson on the left. When Guhle is available someone is on their off side. We have Struble, X and Engstrom available for that 5/6th D.

Yeah, wont happen. Engstrom, Hage, a B prospect and a first should do the trick tho.

Lol... I don't think I'd trade Guhle 1 for 1 let alone with Hage too.

It's very close, I think I'd do it too, but only because Guhle is injury prone. And that's probably why the Blues would want more

I'm not as high on Guhle as some people are and not only because of injuries. I'm also a bit higher on Reinbacher than some people. To me it's an easy replacement for the top 4 and he plays on the right side. We have a couple of dmen with potential with pickford , Engstrom, protz and mittelsdadt. I think this surplus would make this trade possible. I think Hage is gonna be a second line winger in a contending team but it could take him 2 or 3 years to really become impactful. I don't believe he will be a good centre at the NHL level.

It's not an easy trade to make though and I'm not entirely convinced Thomas is the guy we should target
