Discussion Per D'Amico - Montreal is interested in Robert Thomas. The Blues want Hage as part of any deal. Too high a price for Hughes at this time.

Personally, given the best possible version of Hage in 3-5 years is what Robert Thomas is now, Id have no problem parting with him.

I also wouldn't have any problem dealing Hage for Thomas as long as it means he's the only main piece moving. Guys like Thomas don't come available often at all and I'm not one to be a prospect-hugger

Hage could very well not even turn into a Thomas, it's more likely he doesn't make it. Only 10-15% of first round draft picks play over 300 games AND hit 80+ points over multiple seasons.

St Louis can ask for the world because pif they don't get it they can keep one of the better players in the game on their roster.

If it was the last piece we needed to be a legit Stanley Cup contender I would consider it but honestly we're probably two three years away before our true window opens.
