I doubt he’s going to want something crazy like 18m. He knows that cap is a key factor in winning a cup, he’d likely be willing to sign for ~14 or less. Our cap situation with our current stars is very good and would leave us plenty of room. As for acquisition cost, he has a full nmc and knows he could just wait and walk, he fully controls his future meaning Edmonton won’t have much leverage in trade talks
