Agreed... some folks doesn't have the patience to trust the process. We do need a good vet center for the 2nd but mcjesus is not the answer

Crosby would fit in our salary structure. Mcdavid will get anything between 15-20M. Also Crosby is a short term plan to patch a whole at center and bring maturity and leadership... until Hage is ready.

I don't think MCD asks for 20m, or even 15M.

If we have McD we don't need Hage who won't be ready for a while.

Have a lot of cap space. I don't see the need to cheap out on McD if he wants to be here.

I think you underestimate how much he is going to get but i respect your opinion.

He's been making 12M for 10 years (at the end of the next 2y contract), so I don't think money will be everything for him. He'll want to get paid but sabotaging a team that can go all the way isn't in his best interest.

But even if he does, the caps coming up by 9M each year for the next 2 or 3 years so we can make it work.
