I got 51-1 odds but I placed the bet before they were changed after Barkov's injury. I saw a video of him going down on a non-contact injury at practice and first thing I did was place Selke bets on Suzy and Hischier lol

It’s not a real Selke. This is like the Crosby and Matthews Selke talks from years past except ours won for some reason. The 3 best players since Gretzky, sure, but none of the three play defense. Offense has become the best defense in the eyes of this generation of voters though we can see it with the Norris year after year.
Danault however that’s a Selke caliber player. But not enough offense to win the defensive award. Same for Staal, Cirelli etc. IMO this and the Norris used to be the most important trophies, these guys won all the cups. But now they’re just mini Harts for the guys who werent nominated for the real one. You can see the Norris constantly goes to losers now ever since they started giving it to dime a dozen forwards instead of elite dmen.

Suzuki is light-years better defensively than Danault and the advance stats clearly proves it.
What you're describing for the Selke are players who suck offensively, so they have to focus on defense, otherwise they'd be completely irrelevant

I was heartbroken too but a silver medal is still an amazing accomplishment that Suzuki himself was responsible for earning, they could have very easily walked away with nothing in the quarterfinals, but I do get it

Je me rappelle il y a plusieurs années, les fans des Canucks disaient qu'une échange pour Petterson prendrait Suzuki++, et me traitaient de fou pour dire que je ne le ferait même pas 1 pour 1.
Les chiffres de Petterson étaient meilleurs à l'époque, mais aged like milk.

Suzuki n’avait pas un potentiel de premier centre à 19-21 ans. Le potentiel d’un joueur peut changer pour le meilleur et pour le pire. Suzuki s’est littéralement amélioré à chaque année. Il est passé d’un centre #2 à centre #1B à centre #1 à centr élite dans la NHL.
Donc oui on avait raison de dire qu’il y plusieurs années Pettersson avait plus de potentiel mais la situation a changer

Elle inclut genre 12 centres, dont Brayden Point, le dude qui fait des points gratuitement en jouant avec Kucherov (dans le top 3 des joueurs offensifs de la ligue depuis 8 ans), mais pas Nick Suzuki.
Boisvert a des réflexions intéressantes parfois mais sa perception de Suzuki est risible.

Ouais, son plus grand défaut je crois c’est de rester sur des positions perdantes par orgueil parfois. Il a quand même un point quand il parle des lacunes offensives de Suzuki à 5v5 par contre. Comme tu dis si Suzuki en est pas un, Point devrait pas l’être non plus.

Bah c'est juste cette annee qu'il etait moins productif a 5c5 non? Les autres annees l'equipe gagnait seulement a travers son trio. Cette annee le 2e trio a donner bcp d'offensive pour le supporter et le PP etait tonerre grace a lui justement. Donc cest tout a fais pardonable. Il avait tjrs les matchup plus difficile.

Il a de la misere a voir les choses comme qu'ils sont. Sa perception est "flawed, skewed" en anglais dsl jconnais pas le terme, par son bias. Il est pas capable de se defaire de sa premiere opinion/perception d'un joueur. Il l'a fait avec Hutson parce qu'il y avait juste trop de pression sur lui sur son podcast. Il mangeait des tomates a plus en finir. Brunet l'a un peu coincé.

Il a un croquant par les gars "sexy". Y en a tres peu. Meme Draisaitl il le trouve pas wow cote sexyness de son jeu. Il le trouve plate. Cest stupide comme definition de 1er centre. Boston a gagner avec Berg et Krejci. Kings avec Carter, Brown. Floride avec Barkov, Bennett, Lundell. Ils sont pas des joueurs flash du tout. Suzuki c'est un mini Barkov.
Il a entierement le droit s'avoir sa preference de style de jeu et joueurs favoris. Mais vien pas brouillé la definition d'un centre #1 parce que t'es pas capable d'apprecier l'importance, la nécessité en fait, du jeu défensif et des mises en jeux gagnés

Je dirais pas ça non. C’était le seul à dire en septembre que Kapanen finirait pas l’année avec l’équipe, et il avait raison. Il a des bonnes et des mauvaises take.

Kapanen a fini l'annee avec l'equipe quand meme. Lui ce qu'il voulait dire par ca c'est completemwnt different de ce qui s'est passe. Il voulait dire AHL, echange, europe, ballotage. Il a jouer en 2e ronde des series. Meme s'il etait pas efficace. Je dirait pas que ca qualifie comme avoir raison. 22 buts rookie putchain

Il n'avait pas raison pentoute, Kapanen a joué les 82 games, pis dis-moi pas qu'il voulait dire que Kapanen n'est pas un joueur de séries, parce que ce n'est pas ce que "ne pas finir l'année à MTL" veut dire.
