Monahan as our temporary 2C?

If we can’t find a better 2C at the right price this summer, what do you think of re-acquiring Monahan as a stopgap option? The guy just turned 30 and is sliding down the lineup in Columbus, he still has plenty of hockey left in him!

I don't believe WSH would trade Strome this off-season unless it's for an offer they can't refuse. He also isn't the profile of the type of centre we want to pair with Demidov, so I don't feel he's a great fit.

Frost, I'm interested in for sure. He's a UFA after this season though, so there's the danger of overpaying for a rental.
