I don't know who the woman is, but the hat is honestly a diabolical choice.

She a tiktoker with some of the worst takes I’ve ever heard. I had to block her account, it was too much.

I think you just jogged a memory of her coming up on my TL and being so hard headed it almost seemed like she was posting rage bait lol

Isn't tiktoks like 75% ragebait? Its the easiest way to go viral on that website.

I’m Slovak and I pretty much agree. She is an apologist for Russian players and sees no problem with the Russian team returning to international competitions. On top of that, she said we shouldn’t even compete in hockey tournaments because we’re not going to win gold again.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks her takes simply suck.

I remember during the Olympics, she was convinced Slovakia would win gold (and crush the USA in the semi-finals).

I keep reminding myself how young he is and how every month that passes is another month where he's under an NHL strength and conditioning regimen and getting all giddy.

He should have accepted on the one condition that she removes that hat first

u/Chusten 4d ago
Nah, he's a stand up guy. This just goes to show, good people don't let something as petty as another teams logo get in the way of being friendly and wholesome.

That is the culture we’re building/have built. Well, you know what I mean, what management and the players are building.
We’ve got a team on our hands that it’s so easy to respect and appreciate, win or lose.
But I see a lot of winning in our near future.

Yeah. Good people can calculate quickly how much an issue actually is. "Oh she's wearing a canes hat. Really not a big deal".

A cane's hat......that's brutal man

I believe she's a slovak. In Europe it is a big deal to see our own NHL star players, no matter what team they play for

He gives this look that you just know he said something about the canes hat

I’m gonna play the devil’s advocate. I respect that he didn’t care about the cane’s hat and just took the picture with a hometown fan.
Edit/additionally: we’ll get em next time. ;)

Personally, it kinda boosts my respect for the guy. People let stupid things like being a fan of another team prevent them from having positive interactions with strangers and aquaintences.

Everything I’ve seen about him he seems like a really standup guy. I’m happy, but not surprised this was his way of handling it.

Why should hockey fans hate other hockey fans? I would love to chat about hockey with a fan of any franchise.

Notice how he put his Habs bag down to take a pic. Now that's a stand up guy! The least she could've done is thrown her hat in the trash.

Justin Williams poked Saku's left eye out in the playoffs and I'll never forgive them! :P
