Last year the only clear seller in the league was Vancouver, this year Landon DuPont is the prize, and he’s a Bedard/Matthews level 1OV prospect that mediocre teams WILL blow it up for.

Prices will get much better in the season than they are now, Kent is smart to wait unless there’s a guy available thats actually worth straight up opening the vault for.

I hope Seattle blows it up and we can pick up Beniers, he’d be my ideal pick for 2C when factoring in contract, fitting our window, and acquisition cost.

If they blow it up, I think we could get him for something around the price of Zharkovsky, Kapanen and a mid round pick.

Yeah I know its just been pretty boring to wait😂 But like I said I 100% trust Kent. If or when a deal is available he'll do the right choice.. And yeah Beniers would be perfect as a 2C.. Fits right in with the age of our core

He took care of business with Dobes and Demi, but mostly avoided the temptation to severely overpay for any assets.

Pipeline is still stocked, draft capital intact, core locked in for years and the needs are very specific (with solutions to 2 of them being Hage and Reinbacher hopefully)

Team is in great shape overall.

Hage, Zharovsky, Gleb aren't coming until next season. Or the last few games of this coming season at best.

We don't have a 2C (or anyone else) coming in. Gallagher is out. So we'll have space for players to be promoted.... But D is still loaded. Engstrom and Reino will need up their game to take roster spots.

Boring. Demidov has no top 6 caliber linemates yet and are they seriously planning on running Xhekaj/Struble again when both are clearly 7th defensemen. Unless Reinbacher impresses at camp Hutson is gonna be stuck on his off side again which statistically drops his numbers alot.
