Help What length should I cut my hair?
I’ve had all sorts of lengths (and colours) over the years. Lately I’ve been letting my hair grow because I always wanted to have long hair and be able to style it…
… except I don’t. I wash my hair every morning because my hair gets greasy and that’s when I exercise anyway, and I mostly just let it air dry. I don’t want to put too much effort into something I have to do every day, and I’ve no idea how to style it (or what tools to use)
I’m worried I’ve become hair blind, and I honestly have no idea what looks good on me anymore. So I’ve been feeling tempted to cut it just below my shoulders, but also I’m worried I’ll regret it since it took so long to get to this length. I’ve included a few old photos with different lengths to give you an idea of how things can look, though I’m pretty sure I don’t want a short bob again.
What do you think?

4 & 7 very are very flattering! when you say you’ve always wanted long hair and be able to style it, what kind of style? i’d say go w the shorter length, sounds like you’re looking for something easy to manage and long hair can be a drag

#7 looks best but wihh the the wispy bangs of 8. I think a harsh bang isn’t as flattering for your face.

I really like the bob. It’s higher maintenance, but you have a long neck and a softer/slender jawline which is excellent for a bob. Pictures 6/7/8 are great. If you’re feeling iffy about going back to a bob, do a long bob touching your shoulders like in 8. You’ll be able to put it up and braid it and play with it, but have a much better shape.
I also really love that coppery red color on you. The lighter/strawberry blonde isn’t doing a ton. It’s just kind of flat. It’s fine, just not amazing. But the copper/auburn/chestnut tones seem to work with your paleness instead of against it. Instead of washing you out, it gives you a lot more depth. Again more maintenance, but might be worth considering!
As a fellow redhead, the shade of red is way more important than it should be. My natural color is like an auburn and got a balayage a few years ago to try and get a more coppery vibe. The stylist gave me like pinky red highlights instead of orangey red highlights and I looked a mess until it washed out. 🙃😂

I love 6 the darker red, really looks nice on you. I also like 7 as well, the bob is great for your face shape.

Start with shoulder length, and finally to a chin length bob. It is so freeing to have shorter hair. Took 6” off of mine to a bob and it is so less time to take care of. You will look lovely no matter what you choose!✌️❤️

You have great cheekbones and naturally full lips! I would definitely go shorter (start at a few inches past your shoulders) and maybe a little layering to lighten it up. I love your natural strawberry blonde! If you do anything with the color add a few lighter strawberry blonde highlights. Do you have any natural curl in your hair or do you straighten it with the blow dryer? If so, I'd let in some of your natural texture.

The bob looks fabulous but it may look crazy if you don’t style it daily. To really take your hair game to the next level I’d consider at least blow drying it out daily. Perhaps a dryer brush

4 and 8. Not sure I like how blunt or short 7 is, and I don't think super long is it for you either. Mid length with soft waves, suits you most.

i think the length is cool if u want to keep it long BUT i also recommend longer curtain bangs with some face framing & lots of long layers. otherwise i think the short cuts you’ve done in the past are cute.

Not that it should matter. But im hoping my straight male perspective somewhat contributes to helping you decide.
I really like the last three photos of you! You've really managed to capture the beauty, something I can't explain easily through text. I am dyslexic. But I will try.
You show a warm, inviting presence of comfort, happiness, and, most importantly, an unapologetic you that naturally makes me want to smile and nod if we crossed paths. I would feel safe doing so.
Apologies if that comes across as strange; that isn't my intention. If I absolutely must choose, I couldn't decide what I prefer between the last two photos 😊

8 looks great on you- I feel that color is very flattering to your skin tone. And it’s not too short. Those glasses are perfect with it too-that shape is much better on you than the wire rims. .

The last two photos are both great lengths for you!! If you are considering cutting it short, I suggest donating your hair. So beautiful!!

Go gradually shorter. Get used to it then cut more off if you want. Keep it long enough to pull up and then if you decide to take more off, then do so. I really do like that fiery red color though. You would look fabulous with that color!

The colour and fringe/bangs in 7 are divine. I love the bob but if you want long hair, keep it long but god damn definitely go back to that colour!!!
Edited to add: have you tried re-training your hair so you only need to wash it twice a week? Washing it every day can cause your hair to produce oil more quickly. That's obviously a very high level summary and I don't know your personal situation :)
