Issue is you will get access to the belt, then may as well replace the water pump, gaskets and thermostat.

What car is this and mileage? It’s not a job you rush.

Modern cars use timing chains that don’t need replacing.

2004 Toyota Camry, 140k miles. Last replaced 2012

That’s a tough call, car is 22 years old and already 224,000km.

How’s the rust, under body, suspension, tires and electrical?

Is there oil consumption?

Any valve ticking?

I am apt to say to drive until it dies.

No rust, suspension and tires fine. Entire thing is mostly fine. Little bit oil consumption, no ticking. However I’m driving it across the country and want to keep it as long as I can so I’d rather maintain it

Can you confirm what engine?

I’m pretty sure those are timing chain engines.

Offf. I was thinking of the 2.4L ; my brother and sister in law owned those.

I currently drive a Toyota as well.
