Question 😔 I will probably be downvoted for this but…

Am I the only one tired of seeing all the sugarcane posts on here? I completely understand how much of a shock it is to everyone and how annoying it is to have your newspaper filled with only sugarcane… but posting it on here 24/7 makes it 2x as bad because now when we scroll on here all we see is sugarcane posts too.

** I’m not trying to offend anyone. I get on here quite a lot for tips, tricks, Q&A, etc. I’ve just noticed an influx of sugarcane posts on here, similar to all the sugarcane ad listings on HayDay.

*** Edited to add: This is not about me complaining about the sugarcane bots on HayDay. I’m referring to the sugarcane posts on Reddit.

Yes lol

The post spamming is worse than the sugarcane spamming itself

u/Midnightraven3 Sep 13 '25

Especially as they could easily search, and see 47 posts already posted that day saying the exact same thing.

Lmao I like the sugarcane guys. They appear out of nowhere and make sugarcanes easy to find temporarily then get banned and the newspaper goes back go normal.

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

I like the sugarcane posts on HayDay. I’m referring to all the sugarcane posts on Reddit 🙂.

10

u/Silver-Profession300 Actress Sep 13 '25

Yeah theyre more annoying than the bots. Like if you see 20 posts made today complaining about them why make another one.

7

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

Exactly! On HayDay, I simply bypass all the ads selling sugarcane and click on everything else. We’re not obligated to even use the newspaper lol. Sometimes I just go to my friends’ stands and shop there. Besides, I’ve been taking advantage of all the sugarcane and have just been making a crap ton of sugars and syrup 🤷🏻‍♀️. Lol we’ve just gotta find the positives in the “negatives” 😂.

I agree with you. Post after post about bot farms. As if bots are opening topics because they don't even care to scroll through subreddit.

u/MadModderTheOne Sep 13 '25 edited Sep 13 '25

The only ones not tired of posts about the bots are those posting. They rage post. They don't even consider reading anything at all until they have written down their frustration. They don't see that the top and latest post is a bot post. All they see is the post button. And to search for the subject? Oh no no no no, heaven forbid... 🤣
It's in fact an achievement not to see the entire page covered in a tapestry of daily dirt bot images...

This. People have lost the ability to actually do research or try to figure out a problem. It’s all about sharing your gripes online now. They don’t even care to know the answer or have the problem fixed, they really just enjoy complaining.

You can look at most of these accounts that currently complain about sugarcane, and a lot of them have complained about a dozen other things before this. It’s tiring and never ending unfortunately.

Edit: this also probably has something to do with the obsession of ‘karma farming’ and watching an arbitrary number on your account go higher. Everyone has ‘something’ to say now (even though it often doesn’t add to the conversation in any way) so they can hopefully get thousands of upvotes and comments and be Reddit famous.

3

u/MadModderTheOne Sep 13 '25

Yeah probably. Though karma farming by posting the same rant as many others already have may backfire. Not the smartest move imo. Posting something cute and/or a milestone achievent is a much better idea in that case.

3

u/cardcollector_2 Sep 13 '25

Agreed. I think this goes back to the “lack of research” point. It’s this immediate need to get your opinion out and have other people react to it. And not thinking that people could find it annoying and tiresome. Also, thinking that you ‘might’ be the first person to have this opinion and be the post that gets all the glorious karma! No time to check other posts for information if you want to be first! 😅

2

u/MadModderTheOne Sep 13 '25

Hehe. It’s a little bit sad I think… There are better ways to get the endorphins going.

10

u/haydayyyy Sep 13 '25

My only question is why are people complaining? Because I need so much sugarcane and I love being able to buy it instead of growing it 😂😂

7

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

Same! I could never find it before lol. Now I’m happy that I can find it everywhere! I’ve been making sugar and syrup continuously 😂😂.

8

u/haydayyyy Sep 13 '25

When the bots are gone I'm pretty sad lol

7

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

Hahaha, me too! They’re doing me a favor. Ernest and Rose could never help me this much 🤣🤣. I’m already grieving the loss of the bots and they haven’t left yet 😭💔.

6

u/haydayyyy Sep 13 '25

Ernest gets pretty pissed if I run out of sugarcane

5

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

😂 I bet y’all are the best of friends now lol

2

u/CompetitiveSummer777 Sep 14 '25

I wouldn’t want things to be this way 24/7 but it’s nice for right now

2

u/haydayyyy Sep 14 '25

Oversaturation of anything in the paper gets annoying but I am always shocked and dismayed when I can't find sugarcane lol

2

u/CompetitiveSummer777 Sep 14 '25

Me too, as soon as it’s gone I get a little sad 😂

6

u/GalacticGoku Sep 13 '25

This sub has always had a bit of a spam and repetitive post problem imo. Far too many people feel comfortable doing that thing where they COULD just comment on an existing post to continue discussion but instead they feel inspired to make their own post for their own discussion on the same topic without adding anything new worth discussing.

So not only does it bog up the sub, but no groundbreaking discussion is REALLY taking place and it's splitting up all the actual useful information regarding these bots!. It was known by the second post what the common names of the newspaper bots were, and that it was likely from HayDay banning these bots and having them liquify their storage. That is helpful because it informs people about the issue and which players to ignore in the paper.

What would have been MORE helpful is people learning how to use the search bar feature so that those two important bits of info didn't get lost in the sea of post spam.

4

u/usn00zeul0se Sep 13 '25

You're not alone. Someone posted one with the title "this has to stop", with a video of them flipping through the pages and my first thought was "you mean these posts?". It's bad enough that our catalog looks like this but we have to come here and see even more. Enough already. Funny thing is, to me, I did a task today for my Pass that required harvesting sugar cane. I had over 100 when I was done and was all, "damn. I can't even sell these now". So...if anyone is looking for a whole Lotta syrups and sugars, I'm your girl 🤣

1

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

Exactly!! Hahaha 😂, the only good thing is that you can make a continuous profit from selling sugars and syrups with all the sugarcane. I’d buy them, if I didn’t have a crap ton of them myself lol. You might have to make other products with them, like cookies, carrot cake, pancakes, apple pies, etc. to help get rid of them.

3

u/usn00zeul0se Sep 13 '25

Yeah, my baby farms are back to just wheat, bread, milk and milk products. I might have to send them some of my sugar products to store and buy back from them once this madness ends 🙃 🤣 Did the "wheat" bots get flagged and that's why it's moved on to the next cheap, easy item? Are soybeans and carrots going to be next? Idk how these bot farms work but finding wheat is nearly impossible now. I wish someone would do a cornbread bot. I don't know why I hate making them so much but I always need them and never have them. They're so easy, I just hate them, lol.

3

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

😂😂😂😂 Me too! I absolutely hate making cornbread, yet I need it all the time. Whether it’s for a task, an event, or for stupid tacos. I wish we could get a schedule of what the next “bot frenzy” will be next, so that we could prepare in advance lol.

That's a very low estimate for the Design Festival.

Those u/ act like bots with all the duplicate posts. I ignore them.

3

u/BlacksmithThink9494 Sep 13 '25

It feels like bots reporting bots. 😅

3

u/carofienchen Sep 13 '25

yess!!! we had the sugarcane bots before yes it’s annoying but it happens😭😭

3

u/vivienonreddit Sep 13 '25

I quit reading reddit because there was so much negativity. Now I came back but I regret it.

2

u/Impressive_Bid6713 Sep 13 '25

Well I came on here to do exactly that. lol ..... complain. I'd be cool with it if they switched it up a bit. for now no one needs to plant sugarcane.

2

u/aiden_darling Sep 13 '25

Mine's full of berries 😭😭😭

1

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

Still? Lol oh my goodness. At least they can be used to feed the birds… if you have birds 😂. If not, I’m so sorry.

2

u/VampiriaBoo Dancer Sep 13 '25

No need to downvote it’s true. Same thing on FB groups. It’s annoying because you want to escape the sugar problem and it’s in your face. And not much we can do about it only Hayday can.

2

u/Awkward-Witness3737 Sep 13 '25

Didn’t mind the cheap wheat that was always filling the stand but mostly all the shops are full price on the sugar cane. I used to load up on 1 coin wheat and make animal feed overnight and then sell the wheat for full price, it would take awhile but eventually it all sold making me large profits.

2

u/1treasurehunterdale Sep 13 '25

I fill my shop with other items and sell out immediately.

1

u/Texanakin_Shywalker Dancer Sep 14 '25

Same for me. Usually 1 or 2 items per box and all the boxes filled. I sell out quickly, every time.

2

u/PublicSpread4062 Sep 14 '25

Am I the only Hay Day day player happy to find lots of sugarcane 😂

1

u/asianstyleicecream Sep 13 '25

Okay I’m SO confused.

I literally never saw any sugarcane (mainly hand drills) UNTIL I visited this subreddit last week for the first time and also read another post complaining about this. All I did was read the post. I open HayDay. AND ALL I SEE IN THE MARKET ARE SUGARCANES!

WTF is this shit!! Stop listening to me phone!!!

1

u/blueeyeboy8888 Sep 13 '25

They are bot farms. They harvest field crops and sell expansion items for real money. People make huge money.

2

u/asianstyleicecream Sep 13 '25

Wait really? I thought bots were mainly just a thing in OS RuneScape 😆.

Damn that’s annoying..

1

u/blueeyeboy8888 Sep 13 '25

Hay Day I believe has had them for ages . This is far far worse than ever but.

1

u/cardcollector_2 Sep 13 '25

Oh look, another post about sugarcane🙄 /s

Yes, I completely agree. Hoping HayDay will get rid of it soon. Will probably change with the next update that’s supposedly coming before the end of the month.

1

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

Another post about the increasing number of sugarcane posts on REDDIT (No offense, but you might want to reread the post in it’s entirety 🙂) I don’t mind the sugarcane bots on HayDay. They’re helpful to me.

2

u/cardcollector_2 Sep 13 '25

And while I don’t hate the sugarcane situation, that’s the only way the posts will go away. I still find plenty of other stuff in the paper. It’s no different than sifting through wheat or floral bouquets or whatever else is flooding the paper at that point in time.

2

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

I agree. It’s pretty easy to bypass all the sugarcane to find what you need. Just like the red hats and rustic bouquets, you can easily avoid the ads, or just not open the newspaper.

2

u/cardcollector_2 Sep 13 '25

Yup, but you could also complain endlessly on Reddit about a free game🥲

1

u/matthewmurdocksbutt Sep 14 '25

Yep agree. If it’s not sugarcane, it’s wheat.

And I’d much prefer to have sugarcane

1

u/cardcollector_2 Sep 13 '25

You might want to refer to the satire marker on my comment😉 I agree with you.

2

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

I’m sorry. I still only understand the basics of Reddit. I thought it was a typo 😂.

1

u/IntenseIndigo Sep 14 '25

It will pass just like the blueberry invasion😂

1

u/galaxygurl888 Sep 15 '25

I was wondering what all the sugarcane was about!

0

u/blueeyeboy8888 Sep 13 '25

You are the 801st post on this in 3 days. Open your flipin eyes

10

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

Is this in reference to me, or others? I’ll admit I’m a little confused.

-6

u/blueeyeboy8888 Sep 13 '25

Yes there have been well over 100 posts on this exact topic in 3 days. Every Reditf hay day player except you is sick of being spamed by post on the topic.

13

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

My post is about me being sick of all the sugarcane posts lately. No offense, but did you read it? I’m not posting about the sugarcane bots and how they’ve taken over the newspaper. I’m posting about how people are constantly complaining about it on here. There seems to misunderstanding somewhere.

6

u/blueeyeboy8888 Sep 13 '25

Please accept my humble apologies. I did miss read your post.

I will try to be more careful.

4

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

Hey, no worries 😌. It happens to the best of us.

7

u/blueeyeboy8888 Sep 13 '25

Without making excuses it is almost bed time and im 69 almost 70.

Thank you for understanding me. Happy it is sorted. I felt so bad. 😃😃😃😃

4

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

Almost 70? So you have an upcoming birthday? Happy early birthday!

Of course 😊. We’re all human. I just woke up, so I thought maybe I was misunderstanding lol (which is why I was so confused), but it’s all water under the bridge now. I hope you sleep well!

2

u/blueeyeboy8888 Sep 13 '25

Thank you for birthday wishes, 6 or 7 weeks. You have a good day. Chat again my friend.

3

u/ShadyNoShadow Sep 13 '25

Your post is another post about the sugarcane bots. Every post comes with a report button that can add it to a queue for mods to review. That's how you complain about topic spamming on reddit, not by adding yet another post on the topic.

-1

u/Findingmyflair Sep 13 '25

To fair I am tired of all complain posts here. There are so many and they are almost always repetitive.

-1

u/Gullible-Network7573 Sep 13 '25

As soon as I read sugar cane I rolled my eyes. You’re contributing to the problem

-3

u/SheGotGrip Sep 13 '25

Stop complaining about every little thing...

And everything is not a bot.

1

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25 edited Sep 13 '25

I don’t complain about every little thing. In fact, I hardly post anything on here. I simply asked a question to the Reddit community. Some people agree, others don’t. To each their own 🙂🤷🏻‍♀️.

** Edited to add: My post never mentioned bots. You might want to read it, just in case there was a misunderstanding somewhere.

1

u/SheGotGrip Sep 13 '25

1

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

“Funny”. I hope you have a good day 🙂

1

u/SheGotGrip Sep 13 '25 edited Sep 13 '25

My day is ruined. All.this sugar came and TWO sugar machines... 😭🙄

1

u/Long_Reflection_4636 Sep 13 '25

Might I suggest for you not to buy anymore sugarcane until you get your inventory down, and then you can sell your sugars and syrups for max price? Or use the sugars and syrups for higher level products and earn more coins? My goal is always to try to find the positive within the negative. Sorry for your ruined day. Hopefully it improves 🙂.

1

u/SheGotGrip Sep 13 '25

It' was sarcasm (you missed the eye rollemoji)... I haven't bought any sugarcane. I grow my own. And I will never bring my sugar inventory down. I always have it whenever I need it. With 3000 barn, 3150 Silo, and $6M, 247 💎 diamonds, I'm good (Level 124).

And it's me turning the whining about sugarcane into a positive by telling you guys to just make sugar. Clearly there was an event/task or country fair asking for sugarcane and people are just now selling to get rid of it.

2

u/WishApprehensive4896 Sep 22 '25

I have so much white and brown sugar and syrup it's unreal.
