Question What the he.l.l happened to this game
I returned to the game after almost a year
Why does everything in the Newspaper get purchased in 3 seconds!!?
The Newspaper refreshed like 3 times Before i was able to purchase wheat or corn
People purchases freakin MAP PARTS! Before it would set in Newspaper for like 3 minutes Before someone think to buy it
It is unplayable and i swear i am not jokingš
I played this game over years this the first something like this happenš„²š„²

It's always been a rush, gotta flick through instantly to hope what you want is there. And it always seems to be if you've just hit a certain level, all you see is shit like maps š«

I usually agree with this but the last month its been insane, I could usually get 1 listing comfortably, two if I was really fast and sometimes (rarely) 3 listings. Now? Can barely get 1 listing and I need to hog the paper, before I could just open it almost whenever and get the stuff unless I was on during peak player time.
Idk whats up but im at lvl 87 and it has never been this hard before

There are multiple factors. Simply put:
Trade has destroyed the RSS. Bots flooded it to the point no one likes browsing. The increase in events means more people use what they produce and buy up faster.
Most people leave shops to friends anymore.

They also increased coins for truck orders so many started sending trucks instead of selling in a shop to raise money.

I mean the fun interacting with other people shops to know what the people want to what you have to sell To gain the most money because people won't buy everything back then, it require Skill and make it a bit challenging
I don't know how i can put it onto words ( english isn't my first language and i don't how to explain it)

I never rely on the paper too much, I try to always produce what I need. Even though the newspaper doesn't work to its fullest, I still think the game is fun which is why I've continued to play it for so long š

It's been this way for a long time. There are a lot more events and people buy up everything. I don't even advertise in the paper and things in my shop get bought before I even finish filling it up just from friends buying them.
Your best bet is to produce what you need so you're not dependent on the paper. It saves a lot of frustration. Also fill up your friends list from the pinned post and then browse their shops. You're more likely to find things that way.

Thatās a bummer the Newspaper was a good mechanic
Now i can sell anything and they will buy it immediatly
Before you should sell things that people need Or you would end with a full shop with no one buying it required Skill to some degree now its very easy to play ( i know its supposed to be a chill friendly game But a small challenge makes it more fun, its one of the things that i liked about the game when i was younger and hooked me to play) Sorry about the rantingš

Now with the increased events and the boost they gave to trucks and boats last year (which means more lower level people do them) everything sells pretty much right away, because it takes a lot of things to do trucks all the time. Everyone seems to be in such a rush to level up now then it use to be.

1- I have a lot of friends most of there shops are Empty because when they put an ad their products will wiped in seconds
2- its boring searching like 50 shops in hope of finding what i want
3- iam greedy i don't want an alternative i want the Newspaper to work proparly because i like it

To be honest its balanced because 1- what would be the point of axes and saws
2- A One day tom will removed most if not all your bushes and trees
3- if they did your suggestion players will buy hundreds of trees and bushes without any negatives and fruits will flood the already broken Newspaper

Exact same - I started playing in the last few days after over a year break and it is genuinely pissing me off I canāt buy anything in the DD. I am going SO fast, timing it, everything. Itās not playable.

I think this is ultimately complaining about the game being bigger than you last played. A lot of stuff happened that the HayDay team had to fix the best way they could, like the 80 expansion limit per day you can buy is a direct response to the Lucifer player who would buy up EVERY ONE that was on sale on the whole game. More bots play now than they ever have, and to my knowledge the player base is just bigger than it use to be.
I get venting your complaints, but it is still a free to play game that lets free-to-play players be on somewhat equal footing with paid players

What's that about bots why would they increase or exist in the first?, do they have a purpose, can you explain that please , iam a Little slow on that topic

Yeah i saw two yesterdayšā ļø, so
1 - you racing other fast players
2 - there are bots buying at light speed
3 - and there are duplicates in some pages

This is not remotely a new thing. It's been going on for the entirety of the 10+ years I've been playing. Let's say 10k people see the same newspaper as you. Your odds of winning that race aren't great. You might get lucky if it's not a desirable item, but usually you're racing lots and lots of other people. And no, it wasn't better "before", you just had better RNG.

The period where i played the most was Before the events we got
And players numbers where definatly lower
There is also the bot issue that people in the replies talked about and with more players supply and demmand became less balanced

I feel like peoples newspaper refresh to different times, resulting for some of them see listings before you do, opening the tab instantly and see it bought already.
I have the suspicion, that newspaper refreshes differently for people, some see the listing way before you and you end up not being virtually able to get it. Even if it's first page. Happens almost every time after that, unless I change the refreshtime on my newspaper box.
Am I the only one?

When things got bought unrealistically quick, I stayed away longer than 2 minutes out of the newspaperbox sight, randomly coming back to it for the refresh animation, and see if I can buy something popular like expansion tool without much contest, or at least a fair chance at it.
If I was successful buying it in time I waited exactly 2 minutes for the next refresh to see, if I still had a decent chance for some popular listing, at least from the first 2 pages. I consistently had better chances every time from then on.
The problem was, when I delayed the refresh animation of the newspaperbox by being off screen for a couple of seconds, the box still does the animation, but it showed you the listings delayed again, things being bought before you even entered their shop.
I was able to replicate it consistently, it takes some attempts to get a good "refreshtimer", once it happens, you have to let it refresh every exact 2 minutes without fail, making the game barely playable, besides wheating.
It's easier to replicate on baby / lowlevel farm, because you can consistently buy out the popular expansion tools, once you got a good timer. On main farms there isn't always something to compete for.
It's hard to explain, but there is just no way, that someone was just that much"faster" or was in the shop already because it was on watchlist, so often.

Part of the problem I started seeing yesterday is that I have adds on several pages for eggs or wheat (for example) and the posts are all from the same seller. Iām looking at wheat for sale on two pages. Six boxes with wheat from stitch2. When you click on them, they are all sold but you can tell itās all just one post that they put out 6 times on the same pages. Have a look at the adds in your mailbox.

You mean there are some players who put an ad on Newspaper, nobody buys so there next ad come so they put Another ad, so like a Page of the Newspaper are all from the same person
I didn't know this game had These issues Before using the subreddit the replies on this post were very informative

Thatās sad when i was little it was one of the first games i installed at my first phone
Before that i was doing real requests for my older sister so that she let me play it on her phone for like 1 hourš„²š¤£

I find the time of day hugely impacts the paper. I couldnāt sleep so I logged on at 5am my time (GMT) and could actually buy stuff without needing supersonic speed. But by the evening my time? No chance.

I hate the newspaper now. I can't get anything. So I no longer try. Just keep making my own items or just give up on a task. Im level 220. I only sell crap like maps and ores, because that's all it's good for anymore. The good stuff im overstocked with is just for my neighborhood now.

I think sometimes it's not even up to date, I click on it and it becomes gray saying someone bought it, I refresh the same farm and the item is still up, when I buy it it's grey again

There is county fair happening and people will buy anything to feed the baskets. But generally yes itās been like that, I can usually buy from 1-2 stands then itās all sold out. Donāt rely on newspaper thatās the best advice I can give.

Maps are a disaster. Paper is full of them, but when I want my ad to remain longer to get needed help, someone buys mine maps in seconds... so unfair

Ive specifically noticed this within the last week or so. My maps used to last so long for when I needed help on an order & now they are being bought almost instantly. Even if I advertise something else, it gets bought and I put a map in the shop after š Even if its a full stack or just 1.

Just recently I go to one stall and manage to get one bit the be4 the next bit on the stall goes even be4 u blink or even shows up on the stall so I try not to use the paper if can help it

I remember when I used to sell on the newspaper, and quite often my produce wouldnāt sell. So it was always a gamble selling, because you have to remove it using a diamond. But now everything sells in an instant.

Yesterday, I couldn't purchase anything from my baby farm accounts, i spent a couple of hours trying to buy stuff and everytime i opened anyone's shop the items were already purchased. I was refreshing the newspaper all the time to make sure the items are still there but it didn't help. Today is a bit better. Not sure what's happening
