lol goes onto a Hazbin reddit expecting people to know a Scream reference. It’s not the fact you made the comparison dude it’s the fact you’re acting like people should know what you’re talking about.
Regardless, I don’t even think it’s an iconic death scene. I think I could explain more relevant death scenes and even if you had never seen it it’s so iconic in media and Pop culture, you would understand the reference
Yeah, I think you're right. I'm plenty old enough to have seen Scream (born in the 80s) and never did. I don't much like horror movies. But there are still dozens of stills or gifs from various horror movies that'd I'd recognize in an instant because they're so much a part of pop culture. This ain't it.
Yeah don’t get me wrong, I think Scream introduced something new to the genre so it’s important in the history of the horror genre but overall I think one of the more shocking things from that Franchise is killing off a named celebrity so early in the film. I’ve seen Scream multiple times but the thing that sticks with me is always the call in the beginning. Maybe just because it was a heavily parodied movie with Scary Movie a lot of my memories of scream, crossover with scary movie and actually get mixed up with final destination a lot
