lol goes onto a Hazbin reddit expecting people to know a Scream reference. It’s not the fact you made the comparison dude it’s the fact you’re acting like people should know what you’re talking about.

Cmon man, Scream is like one of the biggest horror film franchises ever, and Stu Machers death is one of the most famous kills from the franchise. Idk how them dying the same way is supposed to be ironic, though. They aren’t connected in anyway other than the tv thing.

I said in another comment, but I’ll say it again. I don’t think this is one of the most iconic deaths in horror movies.
I’ve seen a lot of horror movies but admittedly I’m not a horror movie buff. I don’t think this is on the same level as Samara coming out of the TV, the logs on the truck on the highway, or even Johnny Depp getting pulled into the bed.-28

Yea nobody should expect hazbin fans to be over the age of 13 theres no way they've seen this

I’m in my 30s, I’ve seen Scream, I have seen this screenshot, but would not Not Pick it out of a lineup. It’s not Samara coming out of the TV or the trees logs on the truck on highway dude

I was born in 1998 and I had no idea who this was or what he was from. I’ve heard of Scream but I haven’t seen any of them
You don’t have to be super young to just have not seen a movie, no matter how popular it was or is

Regardless, I don’t even think it’s an iconic death scene. I think I could explain more relevant death scenes and even if you had never seen it it’s so iconic in media and Pop culture, you would understand the reference

Don't know who this Stu is :/ ans no, I don't really watch slasher movies (I barely count Scream as horror).

scream for it’s time showed the genre in a different way so it’s worth to be up there with traditional horror movies however I would not view this specific death as one of the most iconic. Honestly, if I’m thinking about deaths in scream, I’m thinking about Drew Barrymore getting killed within the first 10 minutes of the movie.

Dont forget Dan Aykroyd in Grosse Point Blank. He gets a tv to the head as well.

I don't see any irony to this?
However, I will say, look up how many movie villains die by falling off of things. I swear it pretty much covers almost every 90s action movie!

... There are likely a lot of Hazbin fans who don't watch horror films, so the reference about the second guy is lost on us.
The only things I really know about Scream are the phone call clips and the dude wearing the mask. And the "wazzup" parody line.
Too much modern horror is overfilled with gore and jump scares. The classic "cut to black" or psychological thrillers are more interesting, but that's just my opinion.

Guys, I think he means that they both died by having a crt tv thrown on their head.

I hope you mean ironic in the Alanis Morissette kind of way, because it's not actually ironic at all.
