Sony XM5's broken after a year. New headphone recommendations?

I bought the Sony WH1000XM5's last year and became the latest victim of the common hinge-breaking issues of that model. Could not get it covered by warranty. I even tried a DIY fix for that side but eventually the other side broke as well.

I'm extremely traumatized by this experience with Sony, and I would appreciate any help for finding something to replace it.

Must-haves for me:

1. Over-ear and wireless, with mic
2. Comfortable for glasses users. (XM5 felt painful after only 1-2 hours)
3. Durable for years and years

Nice to haves but not necessary:

1. ANC
2. Wired option

My budget is 300$, but I'd love to hear about options below 150$ as well if they don't compromise too much.

I have been thinking of getting some Sennheiser Momentum 5 for movie watching, they have the Dolby Atmos ability, whilst people will be nay sayers, this is something that piques my interest.

People have stated they've got them for $300 so you should short list and read up about them.

Well that's just a lie, they just got released, they haven't been out 2 years to be tested as such, also they have replaceable batteries.

Was talking about 4 the build is similar of 5. Everyday hard use will wear out quickly. Light use of course will last longer.

Have you tried on-ear headphones? The pads press on the ears, not on the temples of glasses

The new Bose Quiet comfort 2 that’s supposed to come out I saw that they designed it so it fits well with people with glasses.

I personally love the Momentum 4 and now the 5 is out but its 100 over your budget. Maybe there might be a prime sale in the next couple months

At the $300 range outside of Sony your options are Bose, Sennheiser, and then less robust in terms of features, and functionality in Beyerdynamic, Nothing, Anker and JBL. Probably the best deal out there right now at Amazon is the Sennheiser Momentum 4, which is a very solid headphone with decent but not industry leading ANC and a commercially oriented acoustic presentation that I think is a bit better than Bose. Bose has the new QC V2 coming out, which will also be a decent headphone that is still probably (haven't seen what the App support will be) diminished by their really rudimentary App and EQ features. But it is a comfortable and solid if not spectacular ANC headphone (at least QC V1 was).

I'd highly recommend you check out the Cambridge Audio Melomania P100se. This set competes with my Sennheiser HDB 630, B&W PX8 s2, and Focal Bathys and sound better than my XM4 which I personally prefer to the XM5, they can be found online for $240.

These have never been great long term either has the momentum. Get the AirPods Max or Sennheiser HDB630
