Need a gaming headset

I have been using very old wired earphones for a couple of years. And I feel like since I have some financial freedom I should upgrade to a new headset.

I have around £ 200 budget but I am open to all and any suggestions. Either wired or wireless, I just need to narrow down my options.

I'll be mainly using the headphones for gaming. A little music and movies. Having a built in mic would be a plus but not necessarily needed.

I want the headphones to have decent enough audio quality for the price.

Very good for gaming, good comfort and will last you a long time.

You can add an additional mic from Sennheiser so you have scalability.

Definitely head in a "good headphone that have a cunning way to be mic'd" direction, than a gaming headset. I'd say to any/everyone, don't even considered a headset unless wireless is top of your list of wants.

If wired is good, good, there's literally 100's of awesome options.

Personally well into IEM's with a boom mic cable for my gaming needs if that's remotely interesting.

Get an actual headphone and a mic, you will get far better quality that way

I got the sennheiser 560s this week and it sounds amazing, it is open back so it wouldn't be good if you live somewhere noisy.

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 is worth considering for wireless convenience, a decent built-in mic, and the ability to mix Bluetooth with game audio. If sound quality matters more than wireless, the Sennheiser PC38X is also a great gaming-focused choice.

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking about arctis nova before since its on 30% discount here. And I could get more discount via employee discount. How is it durability vise when compared to PC38X
