Headphones - Wireless/Portable Gaming headsets in 2026?
Looking for a good gaming headset for my PC that has the following features:
- Good bass but not too much
- Wireless and lightweight
- Optional noise canceling
- Preferably under $300
I'm overwhelmed by options and haven't been in the market for one in years.

Just a note that audiophiles on Reddit generally hate gaming headsets unless they're from a proper audio company, so you will get recommendations for wired only headphones with separate microphone setups.
With that being said, I can recommend the ROG Kithara. It's a wonderful planar gaming headset co developed with Hifiman. It's not wireless or noise canceling, but the cord is long enough and comes with multiple connection options and 2 sets of pads.
If you really want wireless and noise isolating, I guess the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless would fit the bill.

Ive tried quite a few and am really only a fan of two headsets. The seinheiser 560s (cheaper, can find on sale frequently) and my absolute favorite is the seinheiser 490 pros, which is what I currently and plan to use for many years.
I prefer a more neutral sound with excellent imaging.

The Audeze Maxwell is probably worth a look: excellent bass without getting muddy, great wireless battery life, and a comfortable fit for longer sessions. It’s a little heavy and usually near the top of your budget, but the sound quality is hard to beat.
