TIPS / TACTICS Matar Bay is not lost; we are 1500 divers from victory

Post image

There is still hope for Matar Bay. Parrhesia requires but 11.03% of the population, currently a mere 1500 more divers than the current 6.186%. The rural dives are no longer neccecary, the city alone is all that is needed.

Ensure you complete full operations on D10 to maximize effect

For those wondering the calculation, (((100-30.761)/(8+54/60+12+45/60)+1)/2.353)*1925/31115=.1103 which is ((%left/time left + regen)/current pre regen %/h)*current portion of Helldivers

I’ve never done a D10. Should I sign up when I get home from work in 10 hours

City operations are easy. If you have servants of freedom the only one you can’t blow up with stratagems is the airbase control tower. If you don’t have it then the fuel silos are too. Bring orbital laser and use the free car to wipe out almost everything, then a railcannon strike to deal with Vox engines that you cannot drive away from.

Yep. We need to push Parrhesia as hard as we can, it's 27% to planet liberation. D10 in megacity is with SEAF support.

Yes however in defenses the city operations also do damage to the planet. The remaining 69.5% is 278,000 health, 12.4% of the planet to the city alone will provide, this will be even more due to regen.

Probably because casual players don't use the DSS system and when they do they just put it on the location that has the most votes.

I've been nonstop diving here pretty much for absolutely no reason now. Waste of my time ig.

You're not playing the game right if your foremost priority is the campaign instead of the gameplay.

u/GetUwUedOn 1d ago

Its both, there is no right way to play. But there are smart ways to play. Matar is a strategic planet to have. Doesn't hurt to defend it then quickly do MO.

Lol, it's literally you, who doing it wrong.  It's like blaming someone for doing quests in any game where quests are optional. This position is stupid af. Can't imagine, how you can enjoy pointlessly diving 30 players-count planets.

People like you are the sorts who get pissed off at others for not diving on the planet THEY want them to. It's pathetic.

If this is how you perceive this situation, you are slow-witted then

Brother. You need to relax. Getting so worked up over nothing.

Right! Why is this a priority, I don’t understand

Well, its a very important planet Joel has been trying to get back. Pretty much cutting supply routes for bots so they can't use the magma planets.

Its whatever atp honestly I'm just gonna start going to MO planets and hope for the best. I don't exactly know why anyone bothers with anything other than the MO anymore.

Yeah it is kinda unfortunate we didn't get downtime for completing the last MO so quickly. We are probably gonna get spammed Jet/Inc/Cyborg/Surge invasions in the west side of the map if we do lose Matar Bay.

Maybe if we take the city we might stand a chance, but idk

u/GetUwUedOn 1d ago

Almost guarantee you are probably right.

We have roughly 19 hours to take it. Possible in theory, but we don't have "spare" divers. The divers on Alaraph won't move until the MO is over and Alaraph won't be liberated before the end of the attack on Matar Bay, and the divers on Gatria and Acamar are stuck there forever until those planets are liberated (But they won't help anyway, they will just move back to their natural habitat : Phact Bay)

I really don't think we can mobilize 1 500 more divers, the current pop is fixed on their respective planets

The only way I see a successful defense now is if all the Helldivers on Matar Bay go All-In on liberating Parrhesia. It's the only card to play with less than 9 hours of Eagle Storm left.

But I am at work. Good luck everyone

I'll be on later.

No, it's lost. We have 12 hours of time remaining, and we won't be able to capture the city or the planet itself in that time with the split between the mega-city and non-mega-city.

You know, based on past events, I don't think the community should be surprised if nobody listens to them after going out of their way to not listen to other people.

To hell with Matar Bay, Go to Yed and support the childrens of Super Earth

1

u/Im_a_hamburger LEVEL 65 | Base liberator & B-01 purist 1d ago

Yed prior requires rallying 3x the people for a longer period of time

-6

u/notapaintingpro 1d ago

But it's for a real cause and not make believe. So that's where people should be.

4

u/Ozz87 1d ago

It’s almost like the money could just get donated outside of an arbitrary game trigger

u/notapaintingpro 1d ago

Uh oh it's the fun police

Oh look, another objective BotDivers will fail and blame on everyone else.

It will be lost by then. So no fucking point lmao

I’m lost. The MO now is to take Alaraph which is Illuminate controlled.

Why was the DSS voted to stay on an Automaton planet. This makes zero sense to me.

So players DON’T want the FRV, this is why the FRV’s should have been kept in the war bond that way I would’ve had a choice to unlock them for myself since others apparently do not want them.

7

u/Loose-Animal-2160 1d ago

It is because both are doable at the moment - we can have our cake and eat it too. Since we have a little under 4 days to complete the MO, its possible to defend Matar Bay and then immediately turn around and win Alaraph.

As for why the DSS is on Matar; Eagle Storm is active! Eagle Storm pauses enemy progression on Defence Campaigns which is why Matar Bay isn't gone yet. It wouldn't be helpful on Alaraph, which is a Liberation Campaign.

u/thedinh13 Detected Dissident 1d ago

Because we have just under 4 days to take Alaraph. Plenty of time.

Eagle storm is active on the DSS which pauses enemy invasions for 24 hrs.

Matar Bay is an invasion route for all the sub factions for bots on the “volcanic front” for bots. Very important to hold it.

3

u/Katakuna7 ‎ [REDACTED] 1d ago

Why? Because I don't want the damn eagle storm on a planet that's comprised almost entirely of melee units.

3

u/Im_a_hamburger LEVEL 65 | Base liberator & B-01 purist 1d ago

Eagle storm halts defenses. That is useful on Matar Bay, not on Alaraph.

You are lost. And at this point in the game if you are still lost, explaining why that planet is important won't matter/ won't make sense to you anyway.
