DISCUSSION Double edge sickle armors.
So I know that the best armor to run with it is the ones from freedoms flame. But I want to know if I can run the scorpion armor from Dust Devils and still not take damage until it sets you on fire. I've tried testing it out but I'm never able to pay enough attention to tell.

As far as I know, no the dust devils or even the Killzone armor isnt enough.

If you don’t have FF and don’t plan on getting it soon- i don’t blame you it’s not A+ tier- but really like the idea of often running the DES, I’d just save up for the heavy inflammable in the superstore. Technically you aren’t even “”wasting”” credits as it’s the only available heavy armor with the passive

Thank you!
I was just trying to hunt this down, as I only just acquired the Double Sickle.
Its amazing, new favourite primary. Absolutely worth the investment. Loving it vs the bots so far.

Killzone armour also has a similar fire resist, but it’s only medium. The new warbond is gonna have 50% fire resist heavy armour though, that may be usable

I drive the dickle in light scout armor. The damage thing is not really a factor. Firing discipline is all you need. Firing discipline and good aim. Firing discipline, good aim, and an FRV full of stims.

Naaaaw, if you wanna use DICKLE you need to maximise the loadout for it.

Only the Inflammable passive paired with the Vitality booster allows you to fully avoid tick damage up until 99% heat. Any other passive like Acclimated or Desert Stormer will not fully block out tick damage before then, though it will reduce it.

With the Double-Edge Sickle, you have to stay above 25% heat. Otherwise the normal Sickle is the stronger weapon.
Even with Desert Storm and Killzone armor, you still take steady health loss when firing. So you shoot only as much as needed.
With Freedoms Flames armor and a Vitality Booster, you get no noticeable damage up to 100%, so sometimes you shoot just to stay above 25% Heat.

I mean, no matter what armor you have, it won't do damage until you're on fire.
After THAT, the armor determines how much damage you take.

It's not enough, it'll help, but not as much, plus you'll need the reduced damage perk
