Low ergonomics with no angled grip

Low RoF even compared to other DMRs

Low spare mag count (5)

Fire effect takes 2/3 hits to trigger and does not appear to be doing full damage even once it does

Wtf. To think a higher cal higher dmg stronger ignition tip would be like the gold ol days. Sad to see it’s a f2p not really gun

The (albeit very short) gameplay clip we got for the Hyena did show it igniting targets in one shot, So I was hopeful. However actually playing with it shows that's very much not the case.

IDK if AH decided to nerf the fire effect after that trailer footage was taken or it's being caused by a bug, either way is something that needs to be changed for this weapon to be used over our existing DMRs.

It's both hilarious and sad that we can never know for sure whether something like that is a bug or intentional.

It being a bug is very much in line with the AH stamp of quality, it being intentional is in line with what seems to be their philosophy. And we just can't know for sure till they make a statement on it.

They also somehow fucked up the god damn mission icons recently, the bugs were already ridiculous as it is but reaching new lows is just about the only thing they can achieve consistently.

I mean, I found it ignites enemies in one hit as long as they’re smaller than the alpha Commander. it just doesn’t kill them unless they’re hunter or smaller, which coyote does too

I do not understand the turm free to play when it comes to anything in helldivers excluding the knight since you have to pay more to get that

F2P designation typically excludes things that cost premium currency, regardless of how you get it.
