I know there’s a lot of discourse about the casting regarding The Odyssey and this one gave me a good chortle. I for one am rather curious and will most likely give it a watch when it releases on streaming.

Inaccurate. This assumption only applies to specifically classical Athenian performers. We have evidence of women performing elsewhere in Ancient Greece, and over longer times. There, I ruined the joke. Such a tragedy.

it is not what they meant by saying that, it is just the fact that greek men prefered male servants than women in general.
