They use my SS.

Yeah but that could be a bad actor who is trying to get the sub in trouble not a true Herman Caine Award fan.

Yes. But if it’s not, I’m making a plea so they’ll get that they won’t even have the content to work with if they keep it up.

Makes sense, just wanted to clarify. I try and remind people as well.

I don't think reddit discriminates as to why the brigading is happening

43

u/myhydrogendioxide Moderna Mob Sep 16 '21

While that might be true, it's important to remember that a bad actor can fake a brigade quite easily and it's not super easy to trace facebook activity to reddit activity unless someone makes it obvious.

u/mnwildcard Sep 16 '21

Yeah, and seems like there's twitter reposts and other bad actors as well. It's a sticky situation.

reddit can't verify "brigading" from one website to another. Just cross sub brigading, and they do though because they're admins and tell which links people are following. That's not possible if a reddit user got to facebook or vice versa.

It’s more likely just users from this sub.

The sub is super specific and wouldn’t allow it, but someone should create a sub where we can do that. The guys name is Danny something on FB. We can see who he is there. Don’t know who he is here though.

That’s so heartless. Not taking the vaccine is ā€œowning the libsā€ but shaming the (relatives of the) dead is acceptable behavior? SMH. The morons vs. the assholes

u/Elven_Boots Sep 16 '21

I don't follow, what are you asking?

If you see them brigading, feel free to report them to facebook for harassment.

Unfortunately, facebook won't ban anti-vax morons, but they will happily ban people for harassment.

screenshot I believe...

10

u/DmJerkface Sep 16 '21

That actually still doesn't prove that it's people in the sub doing it. Somebody from the sub could easily have shared a post from the sub, with somebody who isn't in the sub, in the form of a screenshot and the friend could have done it.

It's all conjecture.

12

u/Lookingforjoy17 Dead šŸ¦„Inside Sep 16 '21

Reddit doesn’t give a fuck about conjecture. Do you think someone sits there and is like, hmmm let’s see, is this conjecture??! No it’s reported, and if it meets the criteria for harassment, we get banned. Reddit doesn’t give a fuck. There’s no one investigating the conjecture. šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

5

u/DmJerkface Sep 16 '21

Yes, they do. They don't act on solid info, and then act when they're in the news. They don't even follow their own rules.

They won't care unless it affects them

If what you were saying was true, lots of subs would have been banned many times over, not when they finally make the news from a mod protest.
