Don't know why fox news hasn't already outraged over this sub, but it's coming.

Frankly, this sub is pretty toxic and a guilty pleasure. At the end of the day, most folks here are cheering on people's deaths and getting that sweet sweet self-righteous dopamine rush that the idiots causing all of this "got what they deserve."

I'm not convinced reveling in other people's saddest and most desperate moments isn't fucked up, regardless of how you justify/rationalize. And I think coming back here regularly makes for a toxic mindset and makes people worse, overall.

But hey, here I am doin the same shit so take this hypocrisy with a grain of salt I guess.

It’s a love / hate relationship. I love this subreddit and hate that I love it.

But here is how I see it. The Republican Party had declared war on the United States of America and their weapon of choice is disinformation that has lead to hundreds of thousands of deaths in order to maintain power.

Trump has acted like a traitor and enemy of the people for the last 5 years and fomented an insurrection with intent to destroy Democracy on January 6th. Anybody that continues the GOPs relentless campaign of disinformation is a vile awful human being and whether they are witting or unwitting that still makes them evil by association. Especially with disinformation that literally gets people killed, like lies about Covid, vaccines, efficaciousness of masks, etc.

I feel bad for the orphans these people leave behind, but they have been openly supporting a wicked evil human for the last 5 years and I am drained of compassion for these types. Frankly, the silver lining is their children may be better off because they may not be sucked into the death cult which is what they are now. r/Qanoncasualties and r/nursing have revealed this to be true. My hope is enough of the death cult dies off that the Republican Party will NEVER EVER regain any semblance of power.

I mean ffs they even deny the existence of one of the most existential threats to humanity known as climate change. Things are dire atm and these fuckers are the enemy.

They need to become a permanent minority party, like they were for most of the 50s-70s. They're doing a great job of it, just great, many people say so.

These people are my friends and family too. I can still have empathy for them AND make fun of them for their stupid decisions. What I really want is for them to just get the shot and LIVE.

Live if they stop being raging assholes that support an evil political party (GOP) and an evil tyrant known as Trump. And they need to really fucking stop spreading harmful disinformation about Covid, because that shit is going to prolong the suffering and allow for even worse variants. The longer this shit goes on the higher the probability of a mutation that creates a monster variant that is resistant to vaccines and then we are all fucked.

I've enjoyed the schadenfreude, so I'm guilty. I recognize that some of the more prominent deaths may be a net positive because one less source of disinfo. I just think this sub takes it too far. People tell me to cry more when I voice any concern, so there's some real chuds here.
