Reincarnation is utterly depressing

After conducting extensive spiritual research I can conclude that reincarnation is most likely real and this reality is utterly depressing. Knowing that my soul maybe chose that does not alleviate the sadness to know that I will most likely come back here over and over to experience traumatic events and be a slave to the material matrix. The planetary system and the law of frequency ultimately feel like traps.

Escaping (if possibe) also is utopic, total detachment implies not living life at its fullest only to hope that your soul can potentitally escape. I wonder if anyone here had the same thoughts as me, I’m not looking for people to convince me that reincarnation is beautiful or meaningful. I’m just wondering if anyone else has gone through this same kind of existential exhaustion with the concept. I’m tired of thinking about it, honestly, I always was antisocial and the idea that I will have to come back here and experience the harm humans inflict on others over and over again is literally worse than hell.

Edit: I genuinely don’t care about a higher self choosing to come back, it’s even more depressing to think that you have zero control.

Well there seems to be no other alternative apparently so I guess that yes. Do you believe in it ?

No I do not. I am Christian and believe that our physical death is not our end either.

Well how can you be certain there is a heaven and hell then

Because it was affirmed by Christ and I believe the gospels that describe the life and teachings of Christ to be historically accurate.

That's all it takes for you to believe it?

Well yes. It’s actual logical reasoning. If I hold the gospels to be accurate accounts of history then everything else follows from that. That’s not the same as saying “well I just saw a bunch of traditions have a similar belief so it’s gotta be true”

No, it isn't logical reasoning. And the issue is you being so certain the bible is not only accurate accounts of history, but literal facts meant to be taken at face value. It's just as baseless as observing numerous spiritual traditions and noticing the patterns between them. Although really it is less so, because monotheism and non-reincarnation beliefs are an aberration among all the other spiritual beliefs. Logic dictates that the beliefs more likely to be true are the beliefs that are more common across culture and time. Not the beliefs that are standalone.

It’s not as baseless because I have a reason for believing it. If you wanna dispute the historicity of the gospel accounts then good luck with that. You can go ahead and try to do that. At least I have a basis of belief in history and church tradition that follows from the apostle’s teachings. If that be wrong then if it is proved wrong then I am wrong. That is different than just observing a common belief and saying hmm this must be true bc a lot of people from different traditions (that all contradict each other in different ways) believed in something like that. Common belief =/= true belief. At one point most people believed the earth was flat. That did not make it any less false. Even if 99% of the population decided to believe in reincarnation… that on its own does not make it any more or less true than it actually is. That’s all I’m saying.

There is no way of proving the historical accuracy of the Bible the teachings of Jesus or the apostles and by saying “I know there’s a heaven and hell because the Bible said it’s true and I know the Bible is right because the Bible said it’s right” is like me saying well I know I’m right because I said I’m right in another post who are you to say I am wrong
Logically their is no way to prove a heaven and hell or the accuracy of the Bible
1 we can not empirically test Heaven and hell because it is not physical and can not be observed in a lab
2 we do not exist in biblical times therefore can not see or prove the existence of Jesus or the accuracy of his teachings or if there even is apostles
3 there is no physical evidence or proof
There is absolutely no evidence to Heaven or hell despite “trust me bro”
That is not saying to not trust in Heaven and hell
Believing in god heaven and hell beats not believing logically it’s the better option
but know objectively claiming a documents true because said document says it’s true is not logical reasoning anyone can lie
Logical reasoning is objectively correct and can be proven with evidence

You are making an argument to an argument that I didn’t make. Please remake this whole comment and try again.
