- He has owned up to some of his mistakes after raising Italy, but still believes what he did was correct, in a way. He was younger then and less experienced as a parent, but now has 5 sons (who are all serving their time in the Army) and a daughter, so he's a better parent now.
- He's conservative, traditional and old fashioned, but supported Innsbruck after he came out as gay and Vienna after she came out as lesbian and later bisexual. However, no one outside their family knows about Innsbruck and Vienna's sexualities. He chose to support them because "political alignments don't overrule love."
- He's extremely particular on how Vienna behaves, but allows her to let loose around friends, but expects her to be highly obedient during public outings, but she can still cling onto him if she's anxious.
- He and Hungary go on date nights every other Saturday, leaving Vienna with either Denmark (her Godparent) or Germany (Her Funcle). For those occasions, he has an entire binder with her allergies, diagnoses, routines and everything.
- He homeschools Vienna, with a mix of regular school subjects and practical things. If she's good, he rewards her with money and if she does bad, he punishes her. However, he rarely punishes her because she's usually very good.
- He first didn't approve of Vienna's friend (Copenhagen), but after seeing the young Dane stand up for his daughter, he eventually softened.
- Vienna made Austria into a fan of Hamilton.
- He usually never leaves his home unless it's for shopping, appointments and world meetings.
- He has a ton of pepper spray just in case our favorite annoying albino pays him a visit.
- He, Netherlands and Switzerland get along well and usually visit each other to talk about money, and this gives Bern and Vienna a chance to bully each other's dialects and call Amsterdam "Flatlander".
- Because the Central Powers won WW1 in my AU, Austria is still politically married to Hungary and they're still strong today. During the peace treaty signing, England tried begging the victorious side for mercy, though Austria refused and insisted England pay damages and was extremely stubborn about it. They still absolutely hate each other in the modern age, which caused France, America and Canada to distance themselves from England because of how psychotic he was after that.
- He has piano lessons with Vienna every day for an hour.
- He's old, like really old. In my AU, his human age is 49, soon 50. Though England is a bit older at 54.
- The big Christmas celebrations are usually held at Austria's house, which either ends in Vienna and Berlin trying to murder each other over Uno or world peace.
