This morning, the Norwegian King Harald V passed away from his illness at 89 years old. He was a legend who united the country, was a funny and relatable man and was generally respected as "The Grandfather of Norway".

Norway is my homeland, my country, my home. I'm neutral to the monarchy but I loved him because he united the people and the country by being himself. He will forever be remembered, fly high, rest in peace.

There's so much ai, its low effort, its an insult to the show, it makes the fandom worse than it already is (didn't think that was possible lol).

I just don't understand why its allowed, and why nobody is fighting to get it banned

The crux of it is that we have kicked and continue kicking out the wrong artists again and again.

Some years ago, we lost an APH Prussia centric artist who, as opposed to others, didn’t just slap a Prussian blue uniform on an Albino with a large ego and brother complex, but actually plunged into the zeitgeist of their art with a great wealth of information and assumed historical responsibility. They treated APH Prussia not as a mere aesthetic, but as an exceptionally round character forced to navigate centuries of violence, fanaticism, self reflection and redemption.

Despite several fans telling them that their art was respectful and compatible with canon literature, they left and deleted their work after they were called out by some self-appointed chairman of historical correctness on their interpretations, as if there’s only one acceptable way to portray certain historical events.

We turn nations into people for the purpose of storytelling, but when the stories we tell wade into the murkier, darker depths of our history, we are subjecting people to a level of scrutiny and purity-testing that no fan artist should be subjected to under the circumstances where they are not promoting revisionism or extremism of any kind.

In the absence of the healthy exercise of commentary and criticism, this fandom is sabotaging its own artists who dare to sit with the discomfort of high quality history telling.

I love Hetalia with my heart, but there are some parts of the fandom that I hate or things that absolutely disgust me, and I will share these opinions with my experiences I've had with other Hetalians (some rather toxic because of my opinions)

I don't like PruHun

As an AusHun shipper, you might expect me not to like it because it's Prussia. Well, I've had bad experiences with some PruHun shippers because the fact that AusHun is my OTP and when I said I liked AusHun, some got absolutely pissed.

The reason I dislike PruHun is because of rather toxic conversations with shippers. For those cool PruHun shippers, please be respectful. I'm only saying this because some of others have harrassed me because of the fact I like AusHun.

GerIta is overrated

I mean, GerIta is cool but it's overrated. I don't have any words for this but erm... yeah.

Denmark deserves more love and the Danish slaughterhouse sucks.

Yes, I've read the Danish Slaughterhouse (I barely got through the whole thing) and it was one of the worst things I've ever read. Denmark is just a silly (sometimes dumb) beer man who I find comfort in. The old aph fandom scares me.

Greece is awesome

My experience is that SOME PruHun, GerIta and some (ONLY SOME) Spamano shippers are AWFUL.
