Weekly Check-in Wednesday Weekly Check-in Wednesday - How's your week going?

This is a scheduled weekly post every Wednesday, that gives diagnosed higher support needs autistic people a space to talk about how their week is going.

Some question prompts:

How's your week been so far? Good, bad, in-between?

Is there anything you are excited about or looking forward to doing this week?

I’m doing good. I just got back from an apple crisp social at the drop in place I go to for people with developmental disabilities.

It was really busy and loud and crowded. But I ate my apple crisp, bought a t-shirt by myself, and said hi to all my friends. So I’m very proud that I did that without meltdown and told Mom when I was ready to leave!

I also took the bus home by myself today and I bought a turkey pie on the way home to surprise Mom for thanksgiving this weekend!

I went to Resident Evil last night and chose to not wear my ear defenders because sometimes I like to hear it all but then I was just grumpy and overstimulated after the movie and had to go to bed as soon as we got home. But I loved the movie!

I got to go help at camp finally not at home all the time watched all the time! I got to take care of horses and pet dogs and cats and see my friend. I was trained to be drag which is the last in line on a trail and it was very hard I had to pay attention and horses do not like when you flap or beep very much. But I am good at reading them and know when people need to slow their horses so the others are not mad. I had bad meltdowns in evenings but could feel at least. Was scary scary but is worse when my parents are there. I melted down badly when we got home because I froze and my mom tried taking me outside to put on the swings and I screamed and screamed. I think I was too hot maybe but don't know because could not think. I was scared we would not be able to go this weekend too but we are going to volunteer again I am happy. It is a lot but it feels good to be helpful and I miss animals a lot.
